But when he walks into the bridal shop and comes face to face with the girl who got away not once but three times, running is the furthest thing from his mind. Moving back home hadn’t really been part of his plan, but with Penny back in his life, the idea has never seemed more attractive. And this, he’s determined to make sure he doesn’t get away.

The Glam Squad & Groomsmen is the fourth book in the Enchanted Bridal series.
Penny loves her job and life seems to be good for her, until a face from her past makes her realize what she is missing. Him. Spencer comes into enchanted to help his sister get ready for her big day. Last thing he expected was to run into Penny. Penny and Spencer have a past of love and breakups. But the sparks are noticeable to those in the room when they are near each other. Will they have a chance of trying again? Or will things end the same way as they have in the past, in heartbreak? I really enjoyed this story. I definitely recommend it.
3.75 stars–GLAM SQUAD AND GROOMSMEN is the fourth instalment in Samantha Chase’s contemporary, adult ENCHANTED BRIDAL romance series focusing on the women who work for Enchanted Bridal. This is cosmetologist and sales person Penny Blake, and architect Spencer Buchanan’s story line. GLAM SQUAD AND GROOMSMEN can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary.
Told from dual third person perspectives (Penny and Spencer) GLAM SQUAD AND GROOMSMEN follows the rekindling romance between Penny Blake and Spencer Buchanan. Penny has known Spencer and his sister for most of her life. One time best friends with Eva, Penny’s on-again, off-again romantic relationship with Spencer meant years of estrangement from not only Eva but the man that had the ability to destroy her heart. With Eva’s upcoming wedding in the hands of Enchanted Bridal, Penny will come face to face with her past, a past that will bring up too many painful memories that have left indelible scars on Penny’s mind and her heart. What ensues is the second chance romance between Spencer and Penny, and the potential fall-out as their long distance relationship begins to take a toll on our leading couple.
Penny’s goal to open her own salon is met with rejection, a rejection that emotionally deflates our story line heroine. Her long-distance relationship with Spencer weighs heavily on her mind, and her inability to move forward finds our heroine struggling with the direction in her life. Spencer is an up and coming, busy architect whose future plans didn’t include returning home to take over the family business. Rekindling his relationship with Penny Blake meant Spencer had to look long and hard at the mistakes of the past, and change up his long-term goals and business plans. The $ex scenes fade to black and are mostly implied.
All of the previous story line heroines play secondary and supporting roles. We are introduced to Spencer’s sister Eva, a woman who is desperate to reunite her brother with the woman he lost.
GLAM SQUAD AND GROOMSMEN is a sweet story of second chances; a rekindling romance between one woman whose self –esteem was destroyed by the boy that she once loved, and one man who remained oblivious as to the how and why. The premise is encouraging; the characters and their situation felt real; the romance is loving and tender.
This series is just so awesome! All of the books have such wonderfully creative story lines and each book makes me eager for more. I absolutely adore Penny & Spencer’s story!! Such an incredibly sweet second chance romance for two people who really deserve to find love and happiness. If only they had realized all those years before they were meant to be forever. Can they make it happen now? Can they work through the issues that could get in the way? Well this is Samantha Chase after all, so you know you’ll get that HEA you crave while reading this amazing book!
Woohoo! This story was so much fun to read. Penny, the assistant at Enchanted Bridal runs into Spencer, her ex-boyfriend and childhood crush at the bridal fashion show and from there the sparks fly! It’s a quick read but the perfect story to escape into for a short while and get your romance fix!
Book 4 in the Enchanted Bridal Series but this book certainly can be read as a stand-alone, I haven’t read any other book in this series but that didn’t stop the enjoyment I got fromGlam Squad & Groomsman.
Penny and Spencer have had a on and off relationship since childhood but it finally came to a end when Spencer broke it off around graduation day. Penny is still living in the town she grew up in helping run Enchanted Bridal and the last person she expects to stumble across is Spencer, but he is back in town for his sisters wedding and she wants Enchanted Bridal to organise the wedding gown and the tuxedos. What follows is two people who are extremely attracted to each other trying to make it work without giving up any of what they have built for themselves…….
This book was so true to life, the ups the downs, the give and take, the fights and the makeups all of which you go through when building a relationship. This was a love story I couldn’t put down and I now need to backtrack and read the rest of this series because if this book is anything to go by the rest need to be read. Great read looking forward to more from Samantha Chase.
5 Star Review of Glam Squad & Groomsmen (Enchanted Bridal #4) by Samantha Chase
I loved this book from start to finish and couldn’t put it down.
Penny Blake suddenly comes face to face with her ex, Spencer Buchanan, (the one who got away) whilst modelling a wedding gown. Can it get any more cringe worthy than that?
Penny loves her job and has plans to take it to the next level with her own business and the last thing she needs is a blast from the past in the form of Spencer, even worse she realises that she still has deep feelings for him.
Spencer has been dragged along to help his sister and the last person he expects to see is Penny, the woman who has held his heart and gotten away 3 times before.
It was great to catch up with the other characters although Penny and Spencer really stole the show. There was just something about these two that is meant to be. I love a second chance at love story and this one was an excellent read.
It was refreshing to find a character who could admit to mistakes, all the while trying to ensure he did not make them again. I fully admit that I have a bit of a crush on Spencer.
The chemistry between Spencer and Penny is still there and it is obvious that their feelings for one another have never really disappeared. Will they take yet another chance to see where this could lead? Or will the past prevent them from creating a future?
Spencer is at a crossroads in his professional life, being pushed to return home and take over his father’s business. But is that what he truly wants?
This book had me laughing, sighing and at times fearful that the past would destroy what could be a beautiful future for Spencer and Penny.
One click now and take an emotional journey with Glam Squad & Groomsmen, I doubt you will be disappointed.
I absolutely adored Penny and Spencer’s book. It was sweet, sexy, and the perfect amount of drama to keep you on your toes.
These two were perfect for each other, even if it took a long road of mishaps for them to find their HEA together. Spencer came a long way in redeeming himself, and the girls of Enchanted had me in tears with how they treated Penny as one of their own. Throw in a few surprises here and there, and you’ve got a phenomenal must read!!
Glam Squad & Groomsmen by Samantha Chase is the fourth book in her Enchanted Bridal Series. Penny Blake loves working with girls at Enchanted Bridal. What’s not to love, she gets to model wedding dresses and help brides plan for their big day, but she wanted to make her own contribution to the business by running her own glam squad. When Spencer Buchanan ends up at Enchanted Bridal while helping his sister plan her wedding he never imagined running into the girl who got away; three times! This is a second chance story for Penny and Spencer, or many a fourth chance. The biggest obstacle they face this time is Spencer living and working in Atlanta while Penny is in Raleigh. Can these two overcome the doubts and distance while letting their chemistry and attraction pull them together?
Ms. Chase is a wonderful story teller, making me feel as if I was right there watching the action unfold as she drew me in, making me forget the world around me. I highly recommend this book to other readers.
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.
Weddings, Tuxes and Heartbreak. OH MY! Glam Squad & Groomsmen leaves a lasting impression. I laughed, cried and was inspired. The dreamer that got away, lights the spark in the man who doesn’t have it in him to dream. Penny lost her heart a long time ago to the boy who gave her, that first kiss. Her heart was his for the taking, but he was consistent in breaking it. Years later, a chance encounter brings her face to face with her past. Maybe this time the boy that stole her heart and the girl that got away will finally get it right. The most endearing stories are the ones rooted in realism. We can all relate and appreciate where they’re coming from.
“She was six, he was eight and Eva conned him into being the groom for their pretend wedding game. And ever since then, she’d been hooked. On Spencer, not playing dress up.”
Spencer & Penny were boyfriend/girlfriend off & on throughout their childhood until it came to an end when Spencer graduated & broke it off. Twenty years later, Spencer’s sister Eva is getting married & brought Spencer with her to Enchanted Bridal to look at wedding gowns while Penny happens to be modeling a gown. What follows is the give & take of a couple with an intense attraction trying to find a way to make a relationship work without giving up anything that is theirs.
I loved Spencer & Penny! Their relationship wasn’t perfect, but was real. Life got in the way. They both needed to look at what happened between them & own up to their share. Spencer would take his disappointment out on Penny and make her less confident & sure. Penny allowed him to do it & didn’t stand up for herself. I felt this was the perfect example of a “real” relationship, the give & take, the fights, the make ups & the pressure from family, jobs & more.
