Previously published; newly refreshed by author The Chase boys. Ridiculously hot and notoriously single. When landscaper Kyle Chase takes notice of Maggie Wright, all of Petal, Georgia, wonders what the quiet schoolteacher is hiding underneath her tight bun and boring blouses. Even Maggie doesn’t quite get it, but after a failed relationship and a disastrous attempt to get back out there, she’s … back out there, she’s no match against the famous Chase charm, and Kyle has it in spades.
Kyle wants Maggie in his life–and in his bed–and he doesn’t mind getting down and dirty to prove it. For years he’s avoided the kind of trouble that comes with “good girls” like her, but Maggie’s the best trouble he’s ever been in. He craves more of it. And more of her.
But even as their love grows into thoughts of forever, a hidden danger from Maggie’s past threatens to tear them apart. And when Maggie suddenly disappears, Kyle must put his faith in his family and race to save the love of his life before he loses her forever.
The Chase is on. One small town. Four hot brothers. And enough heat to burn up anyone who dares to get close. Don’t miss the next books: Taking Chase, Chased and Making Chase.

This series is wonderful! Makes you want to visit Petal Ga. I enjoyed reading how each of the four brothers found their perfect match.
Giving Chase is the first book in the Chase Brothers Series by Lauren Dane. This is my second read of the book. I first read it a few years ago. Giving Chase is a sweet romance with some suspense. I liked Maggie and Kyle as a couple. It didn’t really bother me that Maggie and Kyle’s brother Shane went on a date or two. I just wished it wasn’t mentioned throughout the story.
Maggie has insecurities due to her upbringing. Her mother and sister were definitely a piece of work. Maggie was able to become more confident. I really liked Kyle and his family. His mother, Polly, us a force to be reckoned with.
The book was easy to read and flowed well. For the most part, I liked the characters. A great read.
She’s a teacher that has little self esteem and in experience when it comes to men. Kyle is one of the Chase brothers. When his brother humiliates Maggie, Kyle comes to the rescue. His sweet persona is touching and as their relationship unfolds within the story it gives us all hope for finding love when we least expect to. I voluntarily agreed to receive an ARC of this book for an honest review.
I really enjoyed this easy to read romance, it had a bit of drama thrown in making for an entertaining read.
Maggie and Kyle had sizzling chemistry and I was pleased they got together. Her family were crazy and his….well what wonderful in-laws they’ll make. The background story with her ex, well not really an ex after only a few dates kept me glued to my kindle.
Great story, I loved it.
I am so glad Liv got her happily ever after!
New author to me, I will read the rest on this series. Liked that h dated one brother, then dated the H.
This book is an enjoyable read with entertaining characters.
Lauren Dane is a new author to me but after reading Giving Chase I will certainly be looking at other books by her. Book 1 in the Chase Brother series based on four hot brothers, this is landscaper Kyle Chase and school teacher Maggie Wright’s story. The Chase brothers are guys girls crush over and Maggie is no different she has had a crush on Shane Chase as long as she can remember but one date was all it took for her to realise he wasn’t the man for her. Kyle Chase is not only hot he also has a heart of gold so much more suited to the sweet history teacher but are they both ready for a serious relationship……….
This is a sweet easy to read romance but the what I loved most was getting to know the Chase family and in this book you get to know every member which sets the scene for the rest of the series. Looking forward to reading about the other hot brothers. Great job Lauren Dane
I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book which was provided by the publisher through Netgalley
***Review includes what some MIGHT consider spoilers but the info is easily found with the descriptions of previous versions of this book***
This is a re-release of an older book and I think that the blurb leaves out a few things that might be important to readers that the original included 🙂 So thanks to a night out and a bit of an accident with a plate of chili cheese fries, good girl Maggie finds herself on the radar of the Chase brothers. What this new blurb doesn’t share is that her first outing is with Shane Chase, town sheriff. Unfortunately for Maggie (and Shane, but good news for Kyle), thanks to a previous relationship Shane is scared of anything even just the tiniest bit resembling commitment. When he thinks that a couple of dates with Maggie could actually have him wanting more, he heads for the hills … leaving Maggie to be swept off her feet by his brother.
Now, some could find this a little awkward but I think that Dane does an absolutely fantastic job of addressing it and really the two of them never get all that involved. Instead it gives Kyle the perfect opportunity to show Maggie that not all Chase men are the same and that he’s ready to be the stand-up guy she needs.
The Chases are so close and the connection between them is wonderful to see. All of them, even Shane after a few awkward moments, accept Maggie into the family. She finds herself being shown the love and support that her own family has never given her … and that she sorely needs. But Maggie has a stalker and he’s not too happy about Kyle. It’s going to take all of Maggie’s strength and the support of the Chases to keep her safe.
Giving Chase has a lot heartwarming moments, especially as Maggie starts to really believe in herself and the love that Kyle is offering her. But Dane mixes it well with the danger and action of dealing with a troubled ex who isn’t willing to let Maggie go. I highly recommend giving this one a shot and I’m looking forward to seeing the rest of the Chase brothers find their match!
(I voluntarily read a Review Copy of this book. All opinions stated are solely my own and no one else’s.)
A sweet romance between the nerdy high school teacher and one (or two) of the four gorgeous Chase brothers. Giving Chase by Lauren Dane is the first in the Chase Brothers series and this newly refreshed version has me anxious to read more of the series.
Maggie is a high school history teacher with limited experience with the opposite sex and low self esteem. Her best friend gives her a makeover and suddenly she is noticed by the formerly oblivious men of Petal.
Shane Chase was her high school crush and dating him is a dream come true, but a bad breakup has turned him into a jerk. After humiliating Maggie and parading other women in front of her, his brother Kyle Chase steps right in to pick up the pieces of Maggie’s broken heart.
Kyle Chase is a landscaper with a heart of gold. He didn’t think he was ready for a permanent relationship, but when he saw Maggie for the first time it changed his mind. But his brother asked her out first. Once Kyle saw that Shane had moved on, he took a chance and asked Maggie out.
I didn’t like the whole brother vs. brother dynamic in this book. I felt the story could have been just as good if Maggie never went out with Shane. I didn’t like that Kyle and Shane brought it up throughout the book. Let it go!
Aside from the whole brother thing, this is a sweet romance with a bit of suspense tied in. I love getting to know the Chase family and I think you will too. Maggie and Kyle are a cute couple who get a heartwarming HEA.
4 stars
Giving Chase is an emotionally gripping tale full of suspense and with some interesting romantic twists that adds some spice to the story.
This story has wonderful, compelling characters that pull readers into the story with a sweet romance that is interesting and different and emotional issues that readers can relate to and understand. Kyle and Maggie have some magical and electrifying chemistry that has sparks flying in every direction and the supporting characters are just as wonderful and attention grabbing as the hero and heroine which ensures that I will definitely be getting to know all the Chase Brothers and their family and friends.
The story also brings some of the suspenseful and dangerous twists in the dating game to life with keeps readers on the edge of their seats and building suspense while the couple try to work out their happily ever after in this fast paced story.
Lauren Dane certainly has a gift for making her characters lifelike with real characteristics and issues that make it easy for the readers to feel as if they really know the characters and are part of the story and the Chase Brothers are some sexy brothers that I sure don’t mind getting to know, in fact I want to know where I can find one of my own. LOL! Oh well, since I don’t see that happening anytime soon, I will just be happily awaiting the release of the next Chase Brothers book.
