High powered divorce lawyer, Victoria Larkin, is known as the ice queen. Tough. Emotionless. What they don’t know, is that ten years ago, she lost everything. Including her hope for the future.
Chase Monroe struggles with his own demons. Devastated by guilt and on a mission to correct his past, he uses his skills as a college psychology professor to help others move beyond their grief.
When … grief.
When Victoria is forced to attend grief counselling, she meets Chase, and there is an instant attraction. Chase is determined to help her confront her past and find happiness. Victoria is afraid to relive her pain.
Just as they begin to step forward, tragedy strikes and throws them backwards, and they find themselves, once again, shackled to the past.

From the very start I knew this was going to be an emotional ride! This was such a beautiful and sweet story. I was in tears when I started and was in tears when it ended.
Life sometimes isn’t fair. Victoria and Chase both have to deal with such a pain after what life throws at them. Both have loss, and it is what bring them together. They heal each other after such heartache but both crave for that one day. yesterday! It was beautiful how these two characters come to each other, especially after being so broken. they both find and learn how to get life back.
This is very emotional, yet a sweet 2nd chance love story. so much feels but so worth every moment.
Victoria (Tori) has not had an easy life. Losing her husband and daughter at just 18, she hid her feelings and moved on with life (the best she could) becoming an “Ice Queen”. As a top divorce lawyer, her hard attitude helps her be the best.
Chase is a college professor who also has a help group for people who have lost loved ones. When Tori is ordered to attend the group, Chase is knocked off his feet. This beautiful woman is lost in herself. His goal is to bring back the woman he knows is hiding inside.
They do not have an easy journey. There are tears, yelling, laughing, tears.
But Chase is also battling his own demons.
What happens when their demons cross??
This was an amazing story!! It really touched my heart and showed me its okay to move on in life after a loved one passes away.
Sometimes you read a book that takes your breath away and consumes all your thoughts. Well, let me say Give me Yesterday by K. Webster and Elle Christensen was such a book for me. Beautifully written, introspective, gorgeous story of tragedy, love, forgiveness and hope. I was consumed by this story. I went through a slew of emotions as these two characters unfolded their story and shared their secrets.
Victoria Larkin and Chase Monroe both suffered tragedies with devastating consequences. They each wish they could have yesterday back to undo their past and have a better tomorrow.
Life doesn’t work that way, and their journey showed us, how in order to move forward you have to make peace with the past.
I’m a mess. A crying, ugly, sniffling mess. Give Me Yesterday is so beautifully written that you cannot help but fall in love with Chase and Tori’s story. A powerful story written about loss, grief, heartache and the power of new love.
“Nobody can be strong all of the time. That’s why it’s in our human nature to seek another soul out there. Someone to be strong some of the time for us. Someone to share our burdens with,”
This book gave me EVERYTHING!! From page one your heart will ache for Victoria “Tori” and her loss but as soon as she meets Chase you see that through grief you can come out the other side. As soon as you finally start to see the light at the end of the tunnel for these two the twist of all twists come right out in the open and hits you square in the face.
Chase makes this story for me. You know he is dealing with his demons, you learn that soon on, but you can’t help but love how open he is with his love. He gives all of himself even though he knows that he has quite the battle ahead of him still. Your heart will break for him and you will want to hug him and help him through his grief. It has been ages since I have so fiercely connected with a character from a book.
That is all there is to say honestly, going in I didn’t know how emotionally draining this book would be but lord, it was worth it no doubt. This is my first time reading the duo that is K. Webster and Elle Christensen and if all their books are this powerful, I need more of them in my life.
So I’ve had this book on my kindle for quite a while and after a friend recommended it I thought it was time to read it. 1. Why oh why did I wait so long?? 2. If you are in the same boat then make sure you read it now!!
This book…I don’t want to say much as I just want to say everything and I’ll give it away. I was in tears after the prologue, after the epilogue and at various times throughout the book. Yes this book is an ugly cry but it is also so much more. I adored it and love Chase and Victoria. I have a feeling I am going to think of this book often. 5 stars for sure. Don’t put it off like I did – start this book today!(just make sure you have tissues ready).
