A beautifully written book. Kat and Bryce both had horrible childhoods but their both trying to rise above it and make the most of the most of there life and find each other very angesty. I highly recommend this book I can’t wait for the next one
I received an ARC for a honest review
These characters had me hooked to this story right from the start
Paige Horne is a new author to me and I am so glad I have found her. This book is filled with so much raw emotion. The heartache is stomach clenching. The chemistry is off the charts and will have you in all your feels. You will surly fall in love with Kat and Bryce. Can’t wait to start book 2!
This book took me a while to read, but it was amazing. I love Paige P Horne. Both as a person and as a writer. It took her a while to write this series, but she’s doing it so they all release within weeks of each other, and with the ending on this one, I’m glad for it because it’s quite the cliffy.
Bryce and Kathrine are a mix of great for each other but also so wrong together. They both had fucked up childhoods, which makes for a great story, but for dysfunctional adult lives. They both push and pull, but finally things get good, until one day, Kathrine makes a mistake, and then Bryce fucks up, and it’s no longer good.
I highly recommend this book, but I am warning you now, it does end on a cliffhanger.
Kat and Bryce had hard childhood. They have seen and experienced things that left them broken. Not believe in love and guarded with trust issues and secrets buried inside them.
Kat and Bryce see each other across crowded club, they instantly felt connection and attracted to one another. They develop friendships even through feelings they had. Hard for them to open to each other because their pasts. But they decide to take chance to heal and to fall in for love first time.
Give me love was emotional roller coaster it has angsts, heartbreak, suspense and love. It does end with cliffhanger but you don’t need to wait long for book two is releasing in October 1st. I looking forward to the continuation of Bryce and Kat story.
I’ve been dying to read another book by this author! I read If I’d Known, last year and absolutely loved it. I couldn’t wait to get my hands on this new revamped series. One thing I absolutely loved about the first book I read by this author is that it was based on a real story. What’s even better is this series is also based on a true second chance romance! I’m a sucker for second chance romances and I loved this one so much! I can’t wait for the next book!
This story is so beautiful and is anything but a typical second chance love story. I might be a 90’s baby but I love learning about the 70’s and 80’s! This story brings those eras to life and I quickly fell in love with the setting and with these characters. Travis and Charlotte’s chemistry and love is so apparent right from the get go. Knowing real people went through what they do, makes this story so much more emotional for me and I loved every second.
The supporting characters in this story are amazing! I love them so much! They are fun, loving, supportive, and a perfect match for the main couple.
I can’t wait to dive into the rest of this series as each installment releases!
Grateful to have received a complimentary ARC copy to honestly review.
Give Me Love is the first book in the series. I really liked it. I loved Bryce and Kat. They were both a little messed up their own way but I think they were great together. They were frustrating at times but I did love them. I am hoping they can work out their issues. Dying to read book two!
Paige has this knack for words, a way of engaging you from the first few paragraphs of all of her books. Give Me Love is just another notch in her addictive catalog of exceptional stories!
The moments in this book that had me highlighting and screenshotting are many many! From the first page, I was in love with these characters. The feelings are palpable and you will walk beside these characters as they experience all that life throws at them.
Bryce and Kat have not had easy lives….and they aren’t going to make the immediate future very easy either. Sit back, get some padding for your ereader and get ready to read and NOT chill!
Paige P Horne weaves an intricate tapestry of words that have gripped my heart! Intriguingly intense and emotionally charged, it has given me so many feels and left me bereft in anticipation for what’s to come! Given that this is the first in a four book series, I know it can only get better. This is one of my favorite reads of 2019!
Kathrine and Bryce have been through so much throughout their childhoods that for them to have achieved what they each have is amazing but yet the baggage they each carry can be quite a heavy burden. I loved their chemistry and hope they can overcome what life throws at them to ultimately be truly happy.
I can’t wait to read what Paige has in store next in Give Me Perfect Love!
I had the opportunity to read an ARC of this book. Paige writes a remarkable story of two lost souls trying to find their way in the world. She also has a way of making the characters feel real. While reading I felt like I was a part of the book and the characters were my friends. Kat and Bryce are my favorite couple ever. You don’t want to miss this book…it is well worth it. Don’t hesitate and pick this book up! Thank you Paige for bringing these characters to life!
Bryce and Kat are broken, but not by each other. They have both seen and experienced awful things that no child should, but those experiences have made them who they are!!
They meet and both of their worlds are turned upside down, especially Bryce’s. He never wants to be like his father, but the more and more he talks to and spends time with Kat, the more he understands why his father did the things he did.
Can their “friendship” help them put the past behind them so they can both be happy?
This story has twists and turns throughout the whole book. I couldn’t put it down.
Holy Wow! Love this book. It has all the suspense, angst, romance and a awesome alpha male.
Bryce is that cocky, rich playboy that you can’t help but love. His life now is so much different than the one he was born into. His past has made him scared of love or anything that resembles it.
Katherine is doing anything to not think or go back to her past. She has demons that she has never shared with anyone.
Bryce & Kat’s past is more alike than they first know. Fate keeps bringing them together. Can they become a couple with as much baggage they both have?
This is a must read. Can. Not. Wait for the next book. Thank goodness it’s not that long until book 2.
Katherine and Bryce are instantly attracted to each other, but they are both broken by their pasts which has defined them to become the characters they are now, with trust issues and secrets so far buried inside them, that they cannot open up to each other let alone anybody else. This is a beautifully written story which is an emotional roller coaster journey throughout, and has angst, heartbreak, humor, and love. The epilogue is simply heart-wrenching, and I cannot wait to read the next book in this phenomenal series. Hats off to this gifted author for a truly amazing masterpiece.
Kat and Bryce are a couple of broken people who struggles in life and don’t believe in Love.
Both hurt by their childhood, they grow up guarded, hurt and don’t trust easily, but there was an attraction they couldn’t deny. Their relationship start off as friends but later on moved on to something more. Together they go on a path of healing and trying to love for the first time.
Their story is not easy nor pretty even though they love each other very much. This book ends on a cliffhanger and I can not wait to read the next one, hoping it brings a HEA for this beautiful couple.
A past that connects them and secrets that could destroy them.
Meeting by chance, Kat and Bryce have no idea how much they have in common and love is not a choice.
Can it change how they see things, or will it destroy the life they’ve worked so hard to maintain?
I want to start by saying-before opening this book- I couldn’t get into anything I tried to read. It had been almost a week since I finished my last book and that had taken me almost 2 weeks to read. Well, thanks to Give Me Love, my reading drought is over now. I was addicted to all of the words from the prologue.
Give Me Love was full of angst, suspense, and surprises. There was a lot of push and pull between Bryce and Kat. They knew what they wanted, but were afraid to go for it. With past like theirs, I would be afraid, too.
I loved both the H & h throughout the entire book. At a certain point they both kind of ticked me off. I wanted to reach into my kindle; grab them, shake them, and tell them what to do. We all know that is not how this works though. It’s not like the “choose your own adventure” books from grade school where the reader decides the outcome. Haha! Nope- I just had to continue reading and hope things turned out the way I had them planned in my head.
I seriously could not finish this book fast enough, which may have been a mistake on my part. Now I have to impatiently wait for the next book so I can see what will happen next. I am looking forward to the continuation of Bryce and Kat’s story.
dont even know where to begin with this review!
The author did an amazing job with this story! I fell in love with the characters. Bryce and Kat are hands down one of my top favorite couples ever! This book gave me all the feels and 100%in my emotions. More than once I wanted to take them away from the author and not give them back to her(lol). I giggled, got teary-eyed, cussed etc. It was just truly amazing story that left me yelling at my phone that it couldn’t be over! It couldn’t end there. It does end on a cliffy, but has you begging for more!
Hands down a 2019 must read!
So cant wait for book 2: Give Me Perfect love!
2.5 Stars – not as great as I remember…
The 3 star rating says that I liked this book. I didn’t really though, but I can’t bring myself to give fewer stars because the writing was not bad at all. I just struggled too much with the story and its characters.
I love Paige’s stories and her writing, and the previous/first edition of this book was the first book that I’d read of hers. It’s been a few years and she definitely improved her writing, although it was already very good from the start. Even though I know she didn’t just slightly edit the book but took a blank page and started writing this story completely new, the original story definitely shone through.
Moving on to the book and why I gave this rating.
First off, it was unrealistic how Kat could make out a stranger’s eye color from afar in a club where the lights usually aren’t that great to even recognize these things right in front of you. And her immediate obsession with this stranger, whom she had the imagination of having gotten lost in his eyes or whatever, was cringe-worthy. I really don’t like to get hung up on those trivial things but since it was a rather slow start to begin with, and having the character fantasize about this stranger whom she only saw from afar for a few seconds in a club!, I just got more frustrated when said stranger became obsessed with her too only from this not even short encounter. I mean, they had been miles apart from being in each other’s personal space, never spoke a word to each other and they were already so obsessed?! How?! Sorry but this annoyed me so much that it ruined a lot for me. Don’t get me wrong, the story wasn’t all bad but things like that can sometimes really make or break a story for me. And especially because I know how perfect this author can write her books, I may have been even more critical.
You know how a story starts with all the explaining and detailing of surroundings to give you an idea of the characters’ world to get to know the setting and feel as if you’re there? I felt that the author tried this too often throughout the book which slowed the story down so much that I struggled a lot to continue reading. It was just a lot of unnecessary detailing.
I loved how the past and brokenness from the characters showed their vulnerability, though more from Bryce than from Kat. But what I didn’t like was that they ran hot and cold and kept turning in a circle. Things, thoughts, moments, they got repetitive and dragged the story out.
The brothers were way more present and interesting to read about because of their tragic past and their hurt feelings they still dealt with. Kat rather felt like an annoying fly on the wall and the book had more life from Bryce when he gave insight to his struggles. I actually thought that he was more mature than her but he did something very stupid and seemingly out of character at one point that I lost all respect for him.
I was utterly annoyed by how much Kat partied and that she got drunk almost every day. First on the day when she saw the stranger for the first time, then they partied again just for fits and giggles, then it’s her birthday celebration, then her friend’s birthday celebration. Ugh! All they ever did was get drunk! That’s not sexy!
Coming to an end of my rants, the book wasn’t bad in general but there was anything but romance going on. The characters were too broken for that and there was like every characters story uncovered instead of being focused on the main characters.
Although I have the other books in this series already on my kindle, I won’t dive right into them at the moment because I have to recover from this not so great experience first.
Give Me Love is the perfect title for the start of this series!
Two people desperate to be loved yet the most guarded of the bunch. Always putting on a show and taking care of everything else around them, never allowing themselves to be vulnerable. It’s like they are waging a war within themselves on whether to take the risk. Is there room in my heart to be trampled again? Always move forward so the past can’t catch up…
I do wish there was a little more give from Katherine. With all the insight she was looking to gain from Bryce, I thought surely I would hear more than the occasional slip up. Yet that only makes me want to continue the story more because I know her time is coming…
This series seems to have all the things happening. So many things to be answered, so many people to be loved. I have a feeling eventually all my questions will be answered, including a couple side characters that can’t seem to get on the same page.
Bring on the Perfect Love because I’m ready!
Talk about the book hangover from hell!!! I started Give Me Love and couldn’t put it down. The prologue gives us a glimpse into the life of Bryce when he was younger, from then on, I was hooked. I knew this book was going to be an emotional ride, and I was right. Add in all the angst and suspense, and I found myself addicted to reading.
Bryce and Katherine see each other for the first time at Bryce’s club, Red. They don’t actually meet until he was into the coffee shop where she works. These two are literally drawn to each other. I swear they could feel that they have both suffered so much in the past in growing up. They only need to connect dots to know that they have have more in common then they realize. After connecting some these myself, I was dying to find out how it will all plays out!
Bryce and Kay’s relationship starts out as just friends. With the baggage these two carry around I can understand why. Bryce has a drug addict for mom and basically raised his younger brother, Jace. Kat’s mom left her with her abusive step-father when she was very young. I CANT EVEN IMAGINE!!! But, I’m so proud that they have overcome some of these demons and are making lives for themselves. But, those same demons make it hard to love someone and be dependent on that person.
Give Me Love ends on a cliffhanger, and it’s a doozy. I can’t wait to find out what happens next with Bryce and Kat. Thank goodness I won’t have to wait long, Give Me Perfect Love releases on Oct 1st. I can already tell that this is going to be one of my favorite series!
Kat and Bryce are two people still wandering in the mess that was their childhoods. They’ve been hurt deeply by people that should be there for them. While they have both triumphed, and found people that love them wholly, their baggage still remains. Their connection was instant, but not very meet-cute. It was like they could see the connection in each other. Watching them walk the road to trusting each other and trying to find love wasn’t easy but worth it. Looking forward to the next chapters in their stories.
