I recieved a free copy through booksirens and now I’m leaving a voluntary review.
I love these books. Melinda Woodhall has done it again book 4.
I love the way she writes the mystery and suspense. Makes you think your actually there and experiencing it for yourself.
I highly recommend this book and this entire series
Girls Who Lie is the fourth book in the Mercy Harbor Thriller series. I have enjoyed this series very much. I strongly suggest beginning with the first book, because the lives of the characters build from one book to another and there are references to previous solutions to crimes from one book to the next. There’s action and surprises in each book. The characters that we would call “good guys (& gals) are interesting. I think each book contains a solid mystery and I recommend them to you.
I have read this book as an ARC. My review is given voluntarily.
Is there another serial killer loose in Willow Bay? Once again Melinda Woodhall hits it out of the park with the fourth book in this series! Once again I couldn’t put the book down! I highly recommend this entire series (there are four of them). You don’t have to read them in order but I would recommend that you do so. I would love to see #5!
Have you ever been tempted to try out a dating app on a website knowing the dangers or who really lurks behind the pictures?
A new app called Secret Fling gave people the opportunity to cheat on their spouses. Very confidential.
Several women have tried the app. Some end up dead while others were left beaten and left traumatic over the experience. Afraid their killer would come back and finish the job if they revealed his identity.
As more women began dropping like flies it’s only a matter of time before he finds his next victim.
The community is living in fear as Detective Nessa and the police struggle to find the serial killer who leaves no evidence behind.
Absolutely love this series!! Highly recommend!!
Thank you Booksirens and the author for a fabulous digital copy. Read and reviewed voluntarily and the opinions expressed here are unbiased and entirely my own.
When I see a new book from Melinda Woodhall I know I won’t be disappointed. This book has all the necessary requirements for a thrilling story: good old boys that are generally corrupt and want to keep the status quo, strong women that don’t give up, and the introduction of new good men.
This is a town that is working on getting rid of the bad seeds as well as improving it’s image. Luckily enough with Nessa as the new Chief the police department is heading in the right direction. Eden and Leo are days away from getting married when a women has been found tortured and murdered. There are several other women that were spared from murder but tortured just the same and are not talking. It will take a community to help the women stand up and finally reveal what they know in order to solve the crime.
I received an ARC from Book Sirens for an unbiased review.

If real life hadn’t gotten in my way I would have devoured the whole thing in one sitting. Interesting relationships form, come to light, end, and even become rocky as police, private detectives, and friends try to understand who this new killer is, and stop the increasing the body count. There’s a nice set up for the next book. I can’t wait to see how Mercy Harbor reacts and recovers from the problems and revelations from the first 4 books.
Make sure to keep your phone charged and with you as you join them in this mystery and the rest, hopefully, to come.
Wow I absolutely loved this book! It definitely kept me guessing it was action packed from start to finish and I loved that I didn’t quite have it all figured out. I love that No Way moment when you realize you had it wrong and you did not suspect the real killer.
I also loved the tie into the Veronica Lee series which is one if my favorites.
I have read a few of Melinda Woodhill’s books. I have not been disappointed in any of them. The characters and the storyline are wonderful. You will not be able to stop reading this book until the very end, and then anxiously await the next installment. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book from BookSiren.
