This is the best thriller I have read in a long time! A must read if you like thrillers!
Author Alex Gates gets into the minds of religious cult leaders masquerading as do-gooders and into the history/mind/experience of detective London McKenna as she searches for missing people. Gates writing style consists of truncated sentences. Thoughts. Insights, Dialogue.
Too strange
so many twists & turns in this story & they all worked. The police were very in-
teresting characters, especially the main investigator.
This was a very interesting book. Likeable characters. Lots of twists and turns. An almost Amish like/ but slavery cult.
Liked the detective and the twists.
I know this type of thing happens every day to little girls. Sometimes it gets a little too close to home. This is the type of story that makes you realize that it’s hard to hold your breath and read.
Great book!
Some plot details are a bit bizarre. It kept me attention but not sure I found it a satisfying read.
Good nystery
lots of twists and turns to the plot
Reallly enjoyed this book. Really unpredictable. Honestly, you didn’t know where it would lead next. Enjoyed this. Not a bedtime story.
This book was too weird for me. It made me worry about my young granddaughters. Not for me.
Kind of creepy, don’t necessarily recommend it; plot is somewhat contrived and the female cop is not very believable.
This book was a classic things are not as they appear. It was well writte and managed several twists in the story. Well worth taking the time to read.
Numerous grammatical errors and incorrect words such as “,rod-iron” furniture! If one can get past these distractions the story is good.

Loved
I thought the author repeated herself a lot. I also thought even though there were a lot of twists and turns in the story line, I’m not sure the characters were devoped enough for them to be believable.
This is one you can’t put down. Stayed up half the night then bought the next 2 in the series. Great characters.
