The coroner claims the death was due to natural causes, but mysterious clues convince Annie it’s murder. As she gets closer to the truth, her prized horse, Buck–a major part of her act–is stolen, and she realizes that someone is out to get her.
With the help of a sassy, blue-blooded reporter, Annie sets out save her horse, find the killer, and clear her good name–before everything she’s worked for is destroyed.

I really enjoyed this book. The only drawback for me was the ending was rather abrupt.
Poorly written and disfunctional to read for me. Not worth the time it took to read.
Really liked to think how it might of been for Annie
Well written, good mystery. The culprit wasn’t who I thought it would be. I enjoyed the story.
Well written fictional account of Annie Oakley.
This book was written for an audience much younger than I. But for a young woman it would be inspirational for it shows a young woman “making it” in a definitely male area in the late 1880’s. I enjoyed it because I can remember the Wild West shows (usually part of a circus) when I was growing up. And cowboys were much a part of our play.
Interesting. I don’t know if any or all of it is true but it was an interesting read.
Poorly written
I enjoyed it and felt sad at what women had to put up with at that time, even worse than now. It was interesting to get a version of the history of Annie Oakley.
Was really good kept you wondering what next.
I enjoyed this story and the history it relates to.
This was an enjoyable story. Very easy read.
easy read. Thought Annie Oakley character was a bit naive.
A different spin on Butler, the shooter and Annie Oakley but I found it very interesting.
Interesting account of Annie Oakley. Lots of action jammed in the few days of the story.
Fun, good read
Very interesting
Love historical romances and this one was good. . . . now to go to a biography and get all the facts on Annie Oakley!
I loved reading this story about a very interesting person in our Western History.
I enjoyed this because it seemed to capture what it was truly like during this time period. Great characters!
