I was done.Done with men.Women say it all the time; they get fed up, throw their hands in the air, and vow a life of celibacy—until the next chiseled chest comes into view and then they’re foaming at the mouth and wiping the drool from their chins. But this was different, I really meant it. I’d been manhandled by the last pig that would ever bring his sausage near me. After one of the nastiest … After one of the nastiest divorces in history, followed by some of the crudest and raunchiest dates, I’d decided to bat for the other team.
…At least I tried.
But creating the next Brat Pack hadn’t been on the agenda. Neither had my date’s brother, Collier West. And I wasn’t prepared for finding true love at the end of my gal-pal tryst.

who hasn’t thought about switching teams after dealing with one bad excuse of the opposite sex after another? and how many different terms can one person come up with for the vaginas. not to mention the many terms for lesbians, the male genitalia or for sex in general. then there is the question of how many colors of nail polished does one woman need?
but I digress…
Giselle is a woman let down for the last time by a man. now she has decided to try batting for the other team. because, I mean one can make the choice to like women, when they have been only attracted to men right? a few way word dates maybe what life need to bring in the one that you are ment to be with.
Collier is the brother of Beck, Giselles first ever girl/girl date. when they first meet both are not sure what it is about one another. he thinks she is just another girl for his sister. and she thinks he is just a jerk. but, the next thing they know they find that they enjoy each other’s company. they find that they can be themselves around each other, and that’s only the beginning of their attraction.
should Giselle just throw in the towel on her girl crush phase and fess up to Collier that she’s not who he thinks she is? or should she just keep things the way it is between them?
girl crush was one that kept you entertained from beginning to end. I found myself understanding what Giselle was going through when it came to the opposite sex I the dating game. this was definitely a book that I would recommend for all of my book friends to read.
”The grass wasn’t greener on the other side of the fence, it was just AstroTurf someone had laid down to give the illusion of perfection.”
We always think the grass is always greener on the other side, but what happens when you switch sides and realize everything is still the same?
From the eye catching cover to the colorful characters. I loved polishing off this laugh out loud, entertaining and adorable read.
Let me just say this is my new favorite book! This is the story of Giselle who has just been betrayed by her cheating husband and all the guys she dates after the divorce are disasters. She has decided to give up on men and switch “teams.” She is going to start dating women. Even though she is being told by her best friend, who is a lesbian, and other friends that she can’t just choose to be gay. But stubborn Giselle has to learn the hard way. During that she makes new friends, discovers who she is and even finds love. But there is so much more to this story. I loved it from the start to finish. I found myself laughing out loud so many times to the point of crying. Especially with how Giselle described her experiences. I felt like Giselle was a friend of mine. I also felt connected to the author. Especially when I got her pop culture references that the current generation may not get. Another awesome thing about this story is Giselle’s best friend is Veronica from Leddy Harper’s book “I Don(‘t).” (Haven’t read it? Go read it now!) It was fun to read characters from that book mentioned in this book. The only thing I didn’t like about this book is that it ended! I hope we hear more from these characters. I highly recommend this book. This is definitely one I will read over and over.
This book was funny and sexy and everything in between. I couldn’t put it down. There are very few books that stick with me but this is one of them. I haven’t read it in years but it came across my BookBub page so had to review it! A must read!
Girl Crush is a new, refreshing, trendy style romantic comedy. I love the cover and it depicts the book perfectly. With a nonpareil narrative, a very highly entertaining read. Characters are fun and relateable. I absolutely love the witty banter between the characters. This novel will have you crying from laughing out loud so much. With a perfect epilogue to wrap up everything into a tight little package. I highly recommend reading this novel as absolutely what every girl needs.
Having never read anything by Stephie Walls I wasn’t sure what to expect, but the blurb to Girl Crush sold me. And it did not disappoint!
This book is about a woman who is fed up with men… to the point where she decides to give women a try. However, she didn’t expect that her journey to find the ideal woman would lead her to a man that she just couldn’t resist. Not only are the dates she attends hilarious, but the fact that she refuses to say vagina (and has countless names to replace it) should be enough to entice you to read this laughter-inducing book.
Girl Crush is a must read with a 5 star (minimum) rating. Everyone loves a good rom-com and this is one that you don’t wanna miss!!
OMG!!! I LOVED this book. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book and I don’t remember the last time I laughed so much reading a book. I want to be friends with all the people in this book and part of this click. Great story about old friends, new friends, finding love and becoming a family no matter what that looks like.
Girl Crush was a romantic comedy at its best. This comedy of errors will have you rolling on the ground laughing your head off. OMG…it was unreal the situations Giselle (the heroine) got herself into.
After a messy divorce, and a string of bad dates, Gizzy decides to give up men and bat for the other team. And even after repeatedly being told by her BFF that she cannot just decide to become a lesbian Giselle decides to try anyway. With her mind made up, we are taken on a journey of Giselle’s escapades while attempting to bat for the other team, although things don’t work our exactly as planned.
This story was fun, flirty and just downright hilarious at times. You can’t help but love Giselle. You can’t help but love the other amazing characters introduced throughout the novel. And you definitely can’t help but love the awesome cover which ties in so perfectly with the story. Girl Crush was a fun 5-star read and I highly recommend it.
** I Voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this novel**
