Relaxing afternoon read. Enjoyable
Heart warming Christmas novella with well developed characters. I really enjoyed reading this story.
Belonging – We return to Trewton Royd and meet a special character and discover her story. She first appeared in Snowed In, which is the second book with Pat’s Pantry being the introduction story to TR. This is another well written, interesting story by this author, whom I enjoy reading very much.
The story lines are well thought out and immerse the reader into the pages until the end. There are no stupid characters, they’re all believable, and very human; and their dialog is realistic. This is a delightful story to read; there’s always a good feeling and cheerfulness lingering after reading one of Ms. Baxter’s heartwarming stories. I would recommend reading the other two books about TR, but it’s not necessary; Belonging is a stand alone. I contacted the author to review her books. 5*
Pat’s Pantry – Another well written, delightful, fun romantic story. The main character has an opportunity for love again. The past comes full circle to the present when the young lovers met again after many decades. Ms. Baxter is a wonderful storyteller. The next story set in Trewton Royd is Snowed In. 5*
Snowed In – We return to Trewton Royd and meet more of the village from Pat’s Pantry. A quickly read, fun romance with likeable characters that keeps the reader interested until the last page. Belonging is the next book in this series, which I’m actually looking forward to reading. This author always writes an interesting story. 5*
Girl in Trouble #3 – Heartwarming. Funny. Sad. Just perfect. A well written romance that takes the reader through a gamut of emotions. We all know there’s a HEA, but the path reaching that point is rocky and gut wrenching. The characters are well developed and realistic, as is the dialog. There’s growth in the living these characters face and the reader has a difficult time putting the book down.
I didn’t read Girl Having A Ball to which Girl in Trouble is the sequel. This is the story of one of the secondary characters from GHAB. It didn’t matter missing GHAB, this book is great on its own. I contacted the author long ago to review her books, whom I found while surfing Amazon, and I’m glad I did. She’s a wonderful writer. 5*
Girl At Christmas #4 – Another wonderful book from the Smart Girl series. A well written, easy to read romance that has sadness and laughter among other emotions. This is Lawrence’s story, whom we met in Girl in Trouble, along with that book’s main characters, Walter and Olivia, who return in GaC. Add in Tammy and a plot that is heartwarming and captivating. The main characters are interesting and realistic, and the interesting plot keeps the reader glued to the pages. While GiT is a good book, reading it before GaC is unnecessary, just worthwhile reading. 5*
The Truth About The Other Guy – A well written romantic comedy where a mother tries to introduce her daughter to a possible husband candidate. It is interesting to read about other cultures and this author draws upon her Sri Lankan roots to weave a fun, quickly read story set in England. I look forward to reading more by this author. I contacted the author to review her books after I found her while surfing through Amazon. 5*
I loved this story and the characters. There was a depth to this story and the honesty and decency of the characters. a feel good story with humor, romance and a touch of friendship and family.
