Bloodier than Fried Green Tomatoes Funnier than The Texas Chainsaw Massacre Welcome to Gil’s All Night Diner, where zombie attacks are a regular occurrence and you never know what might be lurking in the freezer . . .Duke and Earl are just passing through Rockwood county in their pick-up truck when they stop at the Diner for a quick bite to eat. They aren’t planning to stick around-until Loretta, … planning to stick around-until Loretta, the eatery’s owner, offers them $100 to take care of her zombie problem. Given that Duke is a werewolf and Earl’s a vampire, this looks right up their alley.
But the shambling dead are just the tip of a particularly spiky iceberg. Seems someone’s out to drive Loretta from the Diner, and more than willing to raise a little Hell on Earth if that’s what it takes. Before Duke and Earl get to the bottom of the Diner’s troubles, they’ll run into such otherworldly complications as undead cattle, an amorous ghost, a jailbait sorceress, and the terrifying occult power of pig-latin.
And maybe–just maybe–the End of the World, too.
Gory, sexy, and flat-out hilarious, Gil’s All Fright Diner will tickle your funnybone–before ripping it out of its socket

Just read it. You will not be disappointed. It’s the story of a vampire and werewolf named Duke and Earl. There are ghosts, zombies, love and magic. It has everything you want in a book. That is action, mystery, jokes and suspense. Well worth the time to read it. It’s one of the only books I’ve ever read that actually made me laugh hard enough to …
Duke and Earl are speeding through the deep Texas night when Duke decides he’s hungry and stops at Gil’s All Night Diner. While he’s eating, zombies come lurching into the restaurant, intent on their own late-night snack. Lorraine, the owner, is prepared for this regular occurrence and hauls out her shotgun but then realizes she’s out of ammo. …
All of his books are entertaining and enjoyable reading.
The author is really funny, but the book has a lot of heart too. The relationships between the characters make this a book worth rereading.
I enjoy quirky, off-beat reads, and this is a good example. Essentially a buddy story featuring a werewolf and vampire as the curmudgeonly protagonists, there are as many laughs as scares between the covers of this one. Enjoy!
