How do things fall apart so easily?Kate:As a former teacher, my mission is to keep the disadvantaged youth of our city engaged with school. My non-profit has been wildly successful with the kids, but now I’m forty mentors short for the Christmas season. It didn’t look like we would be able to find enough help, until Jim Adelson got involved. He may have solved my mentor problem, but he’s created … solved my mentor problem, but he’s created another: I can’t concentrate with this panty melting God around.
Jim:
The community has been good to me. I’d built my successful security business with hard work and determination, and when I got approached to help Kate Monroe’s non-profit, it seemed a fitting way to give back. I’d offer to spend time with some kids, but it’s Kate that I find myself wanting to spend time with. With beauty obvious to everyone, and a compassionate heart she wears on her sleeve, she has me reevaluating my priorities.
When the children’s Christmas gifts go missing, Jim and Kate are forced together in the hunt.
Can true love fight through the drama to find a happy ending?
Gifted is the first book in the holiday series Clear Security Holidays. This is a standalone holiday romance suspense novel, but characters from the Venture Capital series and from Tech Billionaires can be known to make appearances.

Kate has always wanted to help children who do not have the benefit of a homelife that is safe and secure. She enjoyed her job as a teacher but her desire to do more led her to starting Brighter Future, a non-profit association, to help children help themselves. She created a program where if the children completed certain tasks they would be financially compensated however her program was so much more successful than she expected which leaves her needing more donors so that no one is disappointed.
Jim is a successful businessman who hears of her plight who because of his past believes in her program and steps in to find the donors she needs. When disaster strikes Kate and Jim must work together to ensure that the children get the happy holiday season they deserve and maybe along the way they will get the same gift as well with each other.
The characters of Kate and Jim will draw you in as instead of their pasts making them bitter they are both kind people who always think of others first and there is no one more deserving of a happy ever after than these two.

5 out of 5 stars
There are so many good people in this story and I love to see the characters from her other series come up in this series. If you read the Billionaire Venture Capitalist series first this new series will make more sense. I hope to keep reading these books. Great job!
I love Ainsley St. Claire’s work and I don’t let her books pass me by. Her writing captivates the reader and holds their attention and keeps them turning the pages. The characters are strong and well developed, fun and entertaining and the chemistry between them is great. A truly enjoyable read so find your favorite reading spot and curl up with your favorite drink and get lost in the story of “Gifted”

Another winner from this gifted author…So enjoyed this lovely page turner that appealed on so many levels. The heart & caring of the heroine for the kids less fortunate than most, the philanthropy of the ex marine now millionaire security mogul. Their sexual attraction was off the charts but their connection was also so much deeper, mutual respect, honour, pride in each other & a deep appreciation that they could make things better for underprivileged kids. A heartwarming story with more than a few tender toe curling sexy moments that also contributed to them finding their hea, cheered on by everyone who knew & cared for them. I received an arc & this is my honest & voluntary review.
I enjoyed this a lot. Kate and Jim are pulled together from the start and it only gets better from there. They have great chemistry, and the story is really good and flows well.

Fun story that grabs you and pulls you in. One you’ll stay up late just to see what happens next. Great to see followup on Mason, Cece and Emerson from the series, as I became so engrossed in their lives in previous books.
An extension of the Bad Boy Capital SHN venture capital series. Jim is the head of a security firm that helped Mason out with the leaks at SHN and helped CeCe when her entire cosmetics line was stolen and marketed before hers was released. Kate is a teacher who left teaching to start a nonprofit dedicated to keeping at risk kids in middle school. They meet when she ends up with 200 kids qualifying for a free shopping trip instead of the expected 100 through her program rewarding kids for perfect attendance and for maintaining decent grades. Both are caring and generous of heart, money and skills. Together, they overcome the need for more sponsors and the problems with getting the gifts to the kids. Hot chemistry, great friends helping friends and terrific hero and heroine make this book stand out. It’s also better written than so many of this genre. Ms Davis actually seems to know how to write funny, witty, realistic and engaging dialogue. She’s good at showing you what motivates and sustains her characters through exceptional dialogue and 3rd person observation without getting bogged down in long exposition from the author telling about the characters. Keeps the reader engaged and the story flowing.

This was a light and easy read. It was a fast-paced story with a gritty undertone.
When Kate arranges for underprivileged kids to win a shopping spree she doesn’t expect to find the love of her life in the process. Throughout the book, Kate has a lot of obstacles to endure, and not everything runs to plan. She does manage to squeeze in lots of steamy moments with her new beau, though.
Even though the background story is quite rough and tough, and the characters had a lot of ups and downs to overcome, the story had a very good-humoured and effortless feel to it. Everyone was a little bit too nice, too accommodating, and everything worked out too perfectly. It was a bit sickly sweet. I think it was the overselling of how right for each other Jim and Kate were that everyone kept waxing lyrical about. It made them seem too saintly so you couldn’t really identify with them. This didn’t ruin the story in any way; I would have just liked it to be a little more toned down. Maybe not all the problems being solved so easily with smiles on everyone’s faces. I little bit more hand-wringing would have been good. I think the story could have been a little more developed in this sense.
It wasn’t a bad read and certainly kept me entertained for an hour or so. I did want to see how everything worked out in the end. Would the kids get all their gifts, would Kate and Jim live happily ever after?
The very end felt too rushed. It just sort of ends. I would have liked an epilogue or just one more paragraph. It was a bit too abrupt for my liking.
Overall, a fun and pleasant read and I would like to read more of this author’s work.

Love the charity aspect of the story where both Kate and Jim are doing their part to help the community. It helps that then Jim and Kate’s chemistry is explosive! The story sucks you in and doesn’t let you go.

A Brighter Future
I thoroughly enjoyed this holiday centric read, with the Venture Capitalist as supporting cast.
Kate Monroe needs forty donors for her nonprofit that keeps kids in school. Jim answers the email for help and it’s a lovely gift watching these two do good over the holiday and fall for each other.

Fantastic Story!
This book was well written with a few errors. These errors did not make it unreadable like some books I have read. You could figure out that it was just a word left out of a sentence or occasionally a similar word in place of the word it should have been. Do not let any of this prevent you from reading this book. It is a very good story and I definitely recommend it.
ONE ENJOYABLE EXPERIENCE!!!
Crap on toast! Ainsley waxed the base, strung the link and lined the bow weaving a web so intricately and tight until everything else ceases to exist. She absolutely nailed all of the emotions swirling through this bad boy running rampant unchecked, blowing this gem wide open. Spinning this baby with such refreshing realism that catapults this jewel to life effortlessly. Pushing forward with such perfection escalating this baby to staggering heights with it’s intensely compelling storyline and intertwined plot. The chemistry sizzles from the pages and suck you in so deeply until you feel the heat and electricity thrumming through your veins. The personalities are well matched, balanced and blended. The scenes are graphically detailed to give you a full understanding and realism that flows along smoothly. Fantastic job Ainsley, thanks for sharing this little gem with us.
I volunteered to read this ARC for an honest review. I enjoyed this story about Jim and Kate. She runs a non profit for kids to encourage them to stay in school by attending everyday. When she realizes that she’s short mentors and donations she reaches out to one of the board members who forwards her to Jim.. Him runs a security firm and had dinner influential clients. When someone breaks into the office and steals all the gifts Jim is determined to keep Kate safe. They also get closer. Great HEA with lots of excitement.

Love a good holiday themed romance and this one did not disappoint. Great characters, what an enjoyable read!
I’ve read all the other books in the Venture Capitalist series and this book was just a natural extension of that series. My problem is is that I pictured Jim as much older and less, I don’t know, less hot I guess. I seriously pictured some middle-aged 50s ish just an average forgettable guy for him. So through the whole book it was hard for me to reconcile the Jim in my mind with the Jim in this story. I liked seeing a bunch of the other Venture Capitalist characters as well. Overall it was a pretty quick and easy read
I enjoyed this romance as Kate and Jim work together on Kate’s big holiday charity project. These two are so good together and the chemistry between them sizzles. I enjoyed this wonderful holiday romance. Great story. I received an arc of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
