This novella compliments Gibson’s Legacy and Trusting Gibson (Last Score Series). They say the past always catches up with you… For a guy like Rock God, Gibson Barclay, it wasn’t totally unexpected.Everyone always knew living down the kind of legacy he’d created for himself was never going to be easy. But just when he thought there were no more skeletons to find, his wayward past raises its ugly … wayward past raises its ugly head and sets his mind reeling.
Historically, nothing and no one had ever fazed this hotter than Hell rock star, but that was back in the days when he only had himself to consider.
Never one to shirk his responsibilities, Gibson takes the shocking news in his stride, but faces hurting the one person he loves above all else. When he shares his secret, can the love of his life cope with the inevitable changes to their daily lives and how can he balance his new responsibilities while managing to maintain the hard earned trust of his woman? .

A great end to books 1 & 2. Yet again I loved it.
I can’t tell you how excited I was when this little beauty arrived on my kindle. I loved Gibson and Chloe in the previous books of the Last Score Series so to be able to catch up with their lives a few years down the line was awesome.
Gibson and Chloe have now been married for around seven years, life hasn’t been perfect but their marriage and devotion to each other is as strong as ever. However Gibson is about to receive some news that will definitely rock the boat and put a strain on his and Chloe’s relationship.
Another beautifully written story from KL Shandwick and a definite must read for all you Gibson and Chloe fans out there!
Chloe and Gibson have been through so much and finally at a place where they are happy.
Gibson knows that the news that he found out he has a daughter is going to devastate Chloe, with her not being able to have children and nearly leaving him because of that.
Chloe is crushed with the news and Gibson knows he has to make her secure and that this won’t come between them, although it doesn’t stop the thoughts, Chloe tells Gibson to make arrangements. Gibson can see that she feels threaten by his child the one she can’t give him.
When Piper reminds her that her and Gibson seems to be tethered to each other like Ying and Yang it’s the reminder that Chloe needs.
The strength that Chloe shows with the news shows how strong their love is and Gibson’s continual reassurance of his love show how strong they are as a couple.
Can’t wait to read Piper story after seeing how Gibson reacted to having two daughters.
I loved learning about Piper and her relationship with Chloe and Gibson can’t wait for her story.
5-Star re-read novella!
I didn’t think it was possible to fall more in love with this hotter than hell Rock God Gibson Barclay, but Author KL Shandwick has made me do it. This novella packs as much punch as the two preceding books in this Last Score series and if anything was going to bring this man to his knees, this moment, where his past collides with his present would be the one to do it. Knowing it would break Chloe’s heart, this beautiful creature of a man, this man who every woman desired, this man who lived to keep his woman happy, dreaded imparting his news.
Throughout this series, we’ve seen Gibson work hard to convince a broken Chloe that she was his, that she was who matters completely, and she was who’s happiness was his top priority. There’s nothing more romantic than a man who threw his sexual favours around far and wide, falling for the woman who didn’t want to partake in anything that he was offering, nor trust his motives. Everything about this series from Ms Shandwick defines why the Rock Star trope is my first love in reading.
Chloe was a legend. Strong and feisty, she was beautiful in her nature and acted with grace. I adored her generosity, her pure heart and I loved her for it. And of course, this only endeared her more to Gibson. GIBSON’S MELODY is vital to their story and leads perfectly into a Last Score spin off where their newly adopted young adult daughter Piper, begins to blossom in life.
This series has been a much-loved re-read and one that I highly recommend

Gibson’s Melody a complimentary novella to the series
When I finished Trusting Gibson I couldn’t wait to read more, find out what happened next in Chloe and Gibson’s monumental journey as man and wife.
My heart hurt for Chloe, once again Gibson’s past became a hurdle and even though it all worked out in the end when I finished, I still felt a twinge of hurt for her and wish it had been different for her, that she still got that one thing she couldn’t have herself. I ain’t going to add any spoilers but I will say that Gibson’s Melody is a lovely and insightful bonus to their forever story.
This short novella is both heartwarming and heartbreaking and because this is insatiable Gibson, you can guarantee that there would be a whole not of hotness going on too.
I loved reading the continuation of Gibson and Chloe’s journey together. Gibson and Chloe are faced with new challenges and surprises and I loved seeing how they faced these problems together. I just loved both their characters and their connection. A truly incredible story and series. Highly recommend.
After several years of marriage, and dealing with personal and professional issues, Gibson and Chloe deal another change in life circumstance. As usual, it brings them closer than ever. I love this couple!
I love it. Couldn’t put it down. that’s how Gibson gets me every time
I absolutely loved Gibson’s Melody. This short story is set a few years after Trusting Gibson and it cemented my love for this couple. I’ve always known just how perfect Chole and Gibson are together so to see how much their love for each other had grown over the years and that they still make an incredible team…. it just warmed my heart.
When I think about Gibson, my first thoughts are not about the Rock God but about the kind, caring, considerate and loving person that he is. He worships the ground that Chloe walks on and you can see just how much he adores her in everything that he does.
Chloe is amazing. She has this incredible personality that even when faced with situations that cause her heartache, she deals with them in a mature and caring way, putting others before herself and I bow to her because I don’t think I could be the person she is – or maybe with Gibson’s love I could be!
This novella has been written beautifully. K.L. Shandwick has (as always) addressed real life issues with care and consideration. We know that Chloe and Gibson have not had it easy in both their individual lives and as a couple, and it broke my heart to see how their pasts have affected their present. However, this story repeatedly shows us that with strength, love, compassion and devotion you can overcome any challenges that come your way.
I believe that you should have read both books in the Last Score series to be able to fully appreciate this novella. I know that you are going to love spending time with Gibson and Chloe and I am certain that we will see more of this couple in the spin-off novel Piper….. and I couldn’t be happier.
After trying allsorts and having tests Chloe & Gibson are resigned to not having children of their own, but fate steps in.
Piper desperately grieving the loss of her mum is still a minor, just before her mum died however she had a talk with Gibson and Chloe to discuss what would be best for Piper.
Having lost my own mum at a young age and the desperate grief that completely over whelmed me I could really empathise with Piper, my heart was breaking for her. How both Gibson and Chloe handle Piper with understanding and help was so sensitive, being open and honest with her as well as lots of hugs and love was just what she needed. There is another twist though to this story and I felt sad for this loving and supportive couple, glad they stay strong together. Being upfront and honest about their feelings pleased me, it would have spoilt my view of both of them had they changed.
Its a raw and very emotional read, it has a powerful plot that has you in tears one minute and chuckling the next. This is a novella companion to the main series story in the Last Score series, (Gibson’s Legacy and Trusting Gibson)of which take place before this, to understand this couple fully I do suggest you read them first. I very much look forward to more, especially Piper’s book. I cant wait to read how that goes with Gibson playing a very alpha male protective dad.
