I was disappointed because it was too much like Orwell’s Animal Farm. I like animals in books but not where they are talking and have a society, etc. It was a bit much. To me it ook away from the actual story
A nice cozy mystery ! Cats… some magic….books…. what more could you ask for.
I liked the book, just not really into witch, dark magic genres. Loved the idea of cats involved in a mystery, but there was a lot written with the cats talking to each other but I didn’t see them really involved in the story.
Willa Chance has returned to small town Mystic Notch after a career as a crime reporter when she inherits a bookstore, home and cat. When Lavinia, the town Librarian is murdered, her Ghost demands that Willa find her killer. Yes, Willa sees & hears ghosts. Unknown to her is the fact that cats are helping her.
What was disappointing is that as a …
This story was a great read. I enjoyed it front to back. A few little twists but nothing to dramatic. An enjoyable book. I will read more from this author. *S*
Cute read
Loved it, especially with all the cats that help humans solve the murder. A great idea to have two resident ghosts in the heroine’s bookstore—one a past president and the other a famous author.
A wonderful supernatural cozy mystery. Great for October reading. Loved the cats.
This is a great series!!
I enjoyed this book so much that I have read 4 more in the series. They are all nice, easy to read cozy mysteries. Well written.
This is a good rainy day read. It kept my attention without demanding intense concentration. There were unexpected characters, the end left you wondering who was the real criminal, and there was just a hint of a possible romance.
Easy reading. Whimsical. A nice book to read to wind down before bed.
It just was not what I was looking for, but I have family who will love it.
Loved it. Easy entertaining read.
Enjoyed it!
It was a cute story – mystery. I lov d the cats when they get together and talk. Was waiting for the magic the author kept mentioning, I guess it is in the next story. It’s a nice read. Read in summer, but it felt like a winter read in front of a fireplace with hot chocolate. I have never said that before, but it really felt that way. Thumbs up!
Just started reading Leighann Dobbs and it was with Ghostly Paws. Love this series by her and would definitely recommend this book to anyone out there. Humans who are cat lovers and who loves and takes care of their cats. These cats in return talk to each other and help their humans solve the mysteries that about in this little town of theirs. …
I must admit I’m a cat lover. The characters are interesting and funny. The story kept your interest. Most importantly I want to know more about the people of Mystic Notch.
Loved it! Was nice to read one who was a older woman. Loved the plot and characters!
Enjoyed reading this book. Had lots of humor and mystery. Liked that the cats were some of the main characters. If you like Mrs Murphy and Sneakie Pie you will like this book. Kept you guessing till the end.
