He was born a weapon. She became one to destroy him.Dark. Dangerous. Deadly. Those facts should’ve kept me away from this underground world where people disappear and never return. They didn’t.His mistake: Taking Zoe, someone I consider a sister. I will stop at nothing to get her back. Even if it means infiltrating a notorious organised crime ring in search of the faceless ghost who plucked her … in search of the faceless ghost who plucked her away.
My mistake: Not expecting him. Julian—the guard surrounded by a shroud of darkness and mystery. I’m helplessly and dangerously drawn to the man within.
The more I get lost in him, the riskier my mission becomes.
What if Julian is more than a mere guard?
What if he’s related to this man called Ghost?
Ghosted is a mafia romance, romantic suspense, and a killer romance with tones of darkness. This is the second book of Team Zero’s series, but it can be read as a complete standalone. For a better understanding of Team Zero’s assassination world, you might want to read Crowed first. Ghosted has no cliffhanger and no cheating, and ends on a HEA. Due to language and sexual content, this is advised for mature audience only. more
What a great book! The author, Rina Kent, did a great job bringing the characters to life. I highly recommend this book. I give it five stars.

Rina Kent
“He’s reshaping my world, my heart, and I don’t like it. I don’t like how I want to jump him and kiss him and punch him all at the same time. No human should make another feel this way.”
Ms Kent will pull so many emotions from you. Ghosted is another novel in the series that will draw you in. I had tears in my eyes. I had love in my heart. I had fear, anxiety, want. I am so very happy I found Ms. Kent. Her writing is amazing, her characters are amazing, her dialogue is amazing.
Cannot wait for the next and this, like the others deserve MORE THAN FIVE STARS!
When Elle sets out to go undercover in a dark, dangerous world to find her missing friend, she doesn’t have a clue what she’s really walking into. It’s a world of men and women who have been altered to become killers without conscious or remorse…or even memory.
Ghost is fighting against the drug that turned him into a monster. But it’s not as easy as going cold turkey and the process requires a slow reduction of the drug itself. As a result, he stills see the blood and feels the drip and he must use everything within himself to win the battle against himself.
But when Elle his hired on at La Salon, he immediately knows that something isn’t right. This isn’t the first time he’s seen her. Add in her complete change in appearance as well as his instant attraction to her and he isn’t trusting her at all.
I absolutely loved this book with all its ups and downs regarding the drug and the steps Julian had to go through in an effort to rid himself of its shackles. Even as he’s dealing with that and all the drama surrounding the demands put on him and team from the man in charge, he’s falling for a woman he shouldn’t trust.
”She should be none of my business, but the moment Kyle or Shadow touch her, there’s this urge to break their wrists. I shouldn’t be thinking about hurting my best friend or my godson for a woman.”
Elle was fiercely independent and capable of providing her own safety, but when she begins to yield to the strength found in Julian’s arms, she realizes that it’s okay to lean on someone else at times. I loved how that slow realization took shape with her and her ultimate reaction to it.
Julian is a dark anti-hero that was pretty scary. But once he allowed himself to take Elle, he was all in and she was all his. His mentality was “Mine” as well as filled with possession, jealousy and a deep seated need to protect.
”Drops of blood drip in my head. The need to kill mixes with an unfamiliar feeling and shoots through my veins. The mere thought of those f—kers putting their hands on her causes my pulse to spike with one need: kill.”
This was a pretty great read and I was fascinated from the very beginning. I ate this up as quickly as life would allow me and I hated when it ended, although it has some previous books as well as more to come. Still, I loved these particular characters and their dynamics and chemistry so much I wanted more.
This a nicely paced mafia romance that sees enemies turn in to lovers as they spend time together. There is a lot of action, drama, suspense, intrigue, violence, mystery and romance. The author spends a lot of time ensuring the reader understand the plot and also in describing and filling out all the characters, not just the main two. There is no need to have read book 1 prior to reading this book, although that was a great read as well so you are missing out on that if you don’t read it. This is another stand alone story and it ends in a HEA.

Wow, this is the first book I have read by Rina Kent; it will not be my last! This story was well written and the characters were well developed. Although Ghosted is book 2 in the series (and I have not read book 1 as yet), it was quite easy to follow on.
The twists and turns, as well as the other characters, will have you turning the pages until you reach the end.
When I first read Rina Kent, I realized how much i loved her books. She creates an atmosphere that leaves you begging for more. Her characters are dark and mysterious. She creates plots that keep you engaged from the first word. She is a master at romantic suspense with steaminess.
Ella is one strong female character who takes action when she wants something. Julian is a guy you have a hard time figuring out. Their story develops and secrets are revealed. Their story is interesting, captivating and all around amazing.
Second book in the ‘Team Zero’ series and it is outstanding, powerful, dark, and intense! Superbly written with a real sit on the edge of your seat story line. It drew me in and kept me engrossed from start to finish; is a fast pace, hot, and steamy page-turner. It is packed with violent suspense, surprise twists, danger around every corner, and heart-racing adventure. The characters likeable; they have chemistry so intense and potent it will set your kindle ablaze. The twists and turns and ups and downs in this story make it a really worthwhile read. Definitely recommended.

5 amazing stars!! I am in love with Ghost and Elle’s story!!
This is book two in the “Team Zero” series. This can be read as a stand alone, but why would you?!?! It may not be a deal breaker but there are so many things you learn from reading all the books in this series.
So this is Ghost and Elle’s story. Let me fix that, this is Julian and Firefly’s story. Oh man do I love the two of them together. You have Ghost who is like one of the most bad ass killers out there. But he is also like the sweetest one too. Then you have Elle and she is like bad ass in herself. But what I love the most about her is she is the boxing bad ass of a woman but she has feelings and shows her vulnerable side too. These two broke down each other’s walls together. It was beautiful.
This series is full of some very colorful characters and I love reading about each and every one of them. The author writes seemlessly and draws you in. I finished this book in one day and if I could have done it in one sitting I would have. Once you start this book there is no wanting to step away. I can’t wait for the next book!!
**I received this book as an arc and in return gave my honest review**
Wow! This dark and suspenseful Mafia romance was amazingly good! Packed with murder, mystery, danger, darkness, kidnapping, drugs, passion, and intrigue that make it very interesting and compelling to keep you glued to the pages of this fascinating story. This is the second book in the Team Zero series. I wasn’t expecting the turn this story took; it has quite an unexpected revelation that may leave you flabbergasted but it is jaw-dropping good! This thrilling and suspenseful story is about Ghost (aka Julian), one of Team Zero’s notorious killers. Julian was kidnapped as a young teen and trained to become an assassin by an organization called The Pit. This tall, handsome and sexy man is fiercely loyal to his family and will do anything to protect them, but he kills people without any regret and feelings to do his job—give him a name—his fee—and he will eliminate the target, no questions asked. Emmanuelle or Elle is a strong individual, who had a troubled background, but those she considers family, she will do whatever to protect them. When Julian meets Elle, there is something about her that he does not trust, but he can’t help to be drawn to the feisty, sassy, and obstinate beautiful woman. This is a thrilling and suspenseful story with lots of action about two battered souls who accidentally find one another. They each have their imperfections to deal with but their journey makes them realize that they can overcome anything and any impediments. This story will have you on the edge of your seat. There are several twists and turns within the story that makes it interesting. Rina Kent manages to weave dark and twisted plots centered on romantic ideas with artfully developed main characters. The storyline is fluid, and it will pique your interest. Highly recommend this book.
This story is a fast paced, dark, and unconventional romance. Julian has spent his entire life being conditioned to kill or be killed. He’s a trained assassin with no feelings or emotional connections. When he crosses paths with Elle in a dark alley he finds himself drawn to her. It’s obvious that she is not meant for his world, so why is she trying so hard to fit in? This 5 Star must read will leave you wanting to know what will happen next in this addictive Team Zero series.
What a amazing read that will have you on the ride of your dark twisted mind of sexy alpha man that will have you loving this steamy story of excitement and action throughout this read. This is a fantastic read of ups and downs.
The second book in this absolutely, highly addicting page turner series. I was seriously hooked from page one of this story. Elle is looking for her sister and ends up attracting Ghosts attention. Its definitely full in suspense, drama and everything else that makes it so great. These two are great and left me on edge throughout the book and wondering what’ll happen with them next.
Another great romantic suspense story to the series. This is Ghost’s story. Elle goes undercover where Ghost is working looking for her friend, who just disappeared. This book has deception, mafia, traitors, action and romance. More characters are introduced and we get closer to learning about the people behind The Pit. Can’t wait to read the next book.
I received an ARC and volunteered to leave a review.
I have been so looking forward to reading this book, and it did not disappoint. Rina Kent is the master of romantic suspense, and this book is no exception. Elle goes underground to find out what happened to her friend Zoe. Somewhere along the way, she falls in love with Julian. Their secrets continuously pull them apart. It takes Elle a long time to figure out exactly who Ghost is. I felt like I was on a roller coaster for the last third of the book – every time some secret is revealed, it turns out to be not what it looks like. I spent most of my reading time hoping that Elle and Julian would end up together. (“… have you ever thought that Julian wants you to choose him?”) Scar manages to always turn up in a t-shirt that is completely appropriate for what’s going on. I love Shadow’s mixed metaphors, and how he always says “same thing”. (I can’t wait for his story!)

GHOSTED (Team Zero 2)
by Rina Kent
4
Release Date April 11
Ghosted, book two in the Team Zero series was action packed.
Elle and Julian aka Ghost has great chemistry. Elle was feisty and strong, which I love to see in a heroine. Ghost was dominant and sexy.
“…he’s become a constant. An addiction. A drug l look forward to every day.”
“…she’s been mine since the second I laid eyes on her.”
With all the twists and turns this books has to offer you will be on the edge of your seat wondering. Rina’s writing will have you captivated to the final pages.
“You’ll be my friend, my lover, and my everything. I just want to spend the rest of my life with you.”
I loved the secondary characters as you see them before they get their own book. I highly recommend this series if you are looking for an action filled suspense romance.
Ghosted is Book #2 in the Team Zero Series by Rina Kent but can be read as a standalone. Although you do NOT have to read Crowed: A Hitman Romance (Team Zero Book 2) to enjoy Ghosted it does provide a bit of background into Team Zero that will make reading Ghosted more enjoyable!
So after reading Crowed, I thought that I knew what to expect when starting Ghosted and figured they would be somewhat similar, right? WRONG!
This romantic mafia suspense is a gem! Ghosted is told from dual POV so we get an insider into both Ghost and Elle’s thoughts and feelings. The story flowed perfectly and was really well written.
This is Ghost and Elle’s story.
Emmanuelle, A.K.A Elle, is an underground champion boxer who is searching for Zoe, her best friend/ foster sister who went missing after she was working for “Ghost” That’s all Elle has to go after is a name and the location of a brothel house, Le Salon. But she is determined to do whatever she has to, to find her friend.
Ghost and his team are using the brothel as a front to run drugs and other things for the Mafia, all under the instruction of Hades. Ghost is willing to do whatever it takes to make sure the rest of the team members of Team Zero go unharmed but when an intriguing secretive blue-eyed beauty shows up at Le Salon, that control he works so hard for starts to slip.
When Elle first shows up to Le Salon, Ghost doesn’t trust her. He knows that she is hiding something but he just doesn’t know what. So he tells Mist to give her the job, but she is ONLY to serve drinks.
Right from the start Ghost feels possessive over Elle, which is a totally unfamiliar feeling for both of them and it’s not long before the sexual tension between the two starts to heat things up around Le Salon.
“You won’t say ‘I don’t want you near other men’? I thought you would jump all over the opportunity.” “Nah.” His teeth graze my earlobe, then he whispers in a hot, dark tone, “I will kill other men if they come near you.” He would. I have no doubt this fucking crazy caveman would.
There’s only one problem… as far as Elle knows, the man she’s having all these thoughts and feelings for is Julian. Elle doesn’t know that Ghost IS Julian… the very same man she’s there hunting for information on, the very same man that is supposedly behind Zoe’s disappearance.
What will Elle do when she finds out the man she’s falling for is the man she’s been searching for? Will Elle ever find Zoe?
You’ll have to read Ghosted to find out!
The chemistry between Ghost and Elle is sizzling hot! One of my complaints in my review about Crowed was there just wasn’t enough sexy scenes for me, well let me tell ya Rina Kent delivered on this one!!!!
“Just give me a chance,” I press. “I will do anything.” His thumb glides from my pulse to my lips. I swallow. Tingles shoot down my spine and settle between my legs. The place where he touches me ignites in a thousand fires. What the hell is this reaction? And is my stupid mouth itching to open for him? I don’t get to decide. Julian parts my lips with his thumb and traces my lower lip in a slow, sensual touch. My legs weaken like I’ve just finished a long run. “Anything is a strong word Firefly. Don’t use it idly.”
The banter between these two, and between the rest of the team, is so funny! It definitely adds a bit of softness to the rough around the edges of Ghost. I love in the beginning when all the strange feelings for Ghost start catching up to Elle and “thoughts” are popping in her head unexpectedly, “what the hell?” Once you read it, you’ll know exactly what I mean.
I was so glad that Rina made this book realistic, a lot of times in Mafia books, the hero or whoever gets hurt or shot and “oh it’s no big deal”, umm… what?! No matter who you are, if you take a bullet it’s GOING to freaking hurt and you are GOING to need medical attention! So thank you for that Rina and of course thank you for bringing my sexy ass psycho Aaron Rhodes over to fix Ghost up!
Ghost, freaking swoon! The fierce loyalty to his Team, the rough possessive nature he has with Elle *sigh*, I loved Crow, but after reading Ghost’s story, I’m actually pretty pissed off with him. I understand he had to fake his death and all that but after seeing EVERYTHING that Ghost is trying to do to save the Team Zero members that Hades is still holding, I feel like Crow just forgot that he was supposed to try and help them too, even if it’s behind the scenes.
“Let me protect you, Firefly. You don’t always have to be strong and put together. You can be weak and bare yourself with me. I would never judge you or use it against you.”
Elle is so fiercely independent but really underneath all of her fierce bravado, she craves a family and someone she can let her guard down with. Julian and Elle have way more in common then either of them thinks. Ghost is the same, that’s why he’s kept Kyle around even though he didn’t want him in the “life”, he craves a family and someone to care about him, and to care for.
“Have I hurt you?” he whispers. He words are genuinely concerned, and that digs a deeper shared into my chest. “You’ve ruined me,” I confess, turning against him and burying my head in his hard chest. It’s pointless to run away anymore. Perhaps I never wanted to. “Good.” He kisses the top of my head long and deep and speaks against my skin, “Because you’ve ruined me, too, Firefly.”
That ending… *sigh* I think that’s exactly how it needed to happen. With Elle being so damn independent, Ghost giving her the choice was just the icing on the cake to why he is such a swoon-worthy son-of-ahhh… yea you know! I only wish that there was an epilogue, I would have liked to have seen Ghost and Elle a year later, but I’m sure we will see more of them in future Team Zero members stories.
Such a GREAT cast of secondary characters in this one! Shadow has definitely won my heart over. When they watch that video of Zoe… oh gosh. Who doesn’t love a man whose heart has been broken AND who perches on chairs rather than sits on them and uses windows to enter rather than doors?! Lol, I can NOT wait to read Shadow’s story! Oh, and I can’t forget about Scar’s little crazy ass! I can’t wait to watch some alpha lock all her craziness down! Flame, is hilarious, like he literally gives ZERO shits about ANYTHING unless you are burning something down, otherwise “BE QUIET”! Haha, yea needless to say I’m really loving this Team.
Rina Kent is an amazing author and with each new release, the writing is just getting better and better! Ghosted was a wonderful addition to the Team Zero series and I can NOT wait to see what else Rina has in store for the men of Team Zero, not to mention those crazy Rhodes boys!
If you like romantic suspense with a side of gunfights, a sexy possessive alpha anti-hero and an independent, headstrong heroine then give Ghosted a try, you won’t regret it!
*I voluntarily reviewed an advance complimentary copy of this book.
A Love Story with a hero / bad guy and heroine. I’m not used to reading those type of stories but this one was really worth it
Loved Crowed but this was even better, why are we limited to 5 stars? this deserves the whole galaxy!
I kid you not, this author is quite remarkable, the plot, the attention to detail, the characters all bringing this beautifully crafted book to take you to the edge, time & time again. It was so powerful, edgy, raw, dark & dangerous yet still full of caring & tenderness & the sexual frisson between the main characters was off the charts. You will be anxious at times, you will swoon at the seriously hot stuff, smile at the feistiness & bravery of the heroine & cry if you’re a bit soft in the head like me at the romance. You’ll want to be a slave to the hero, back of the queue girls! If you only want one book this year this powerful page turner should be it.
I received an ARC & this is my honest & voluntary review.
