As the characters developed I started to really like them. The heroine sounds like a “real” Mom with a few twists. Without spoiling the story you will have to enjoy the idea that someone might be able to see ghosts. But, it is the less than desirable people that are scary.
It was good enough that I bought the next book to keep up with the characters.
It was an entertaining cozy mystery and I liked the characters.
Nice to read about a woman with boundries
Couldn’t get past the first chapter. I think if it were to be put in the young adult section I would be able to give it a better rating.
It moved along but I wouldn’t call it a page-turner. It was ok but nothing special.
This was a fun, easy to read book with great characters. The only problem is it didn’t quite give an ending to all the characters and left you dangling.
I read every Chintz and China book in three days. That’s how much I enjoyed these books.
Don’t expect a cozy mystery here. I don’t think this author can do that, though it is clearly a toned-down book. Original and entertaining, well written with strong, but somewhat judgemental characters. The writing is good; and though we are dealing with witchcraft and haunting, the universe is consistent.
Had fun reading this start to finish. Thanks for the smiles.
Enjoyable earl work by an excellent writer
Fun characters and an unusual storyline make this book an enjoyable read. I was skeptical of a story that features a psychic , but the author pulled it off and wrote a light hearted, entertaining mystery.
I loved the book.
This isn’t a mystery, it is a shame used to hide a romance novel. How pathetic is that.
Fun beach book!
Great book.
Truly enjoyed book!
A few disconnects, left wondering about some relationships.
I liked this book but in some ways I hated the story because I felt the main character was too self deprecating. I realize that it probably was a true portrayal of how life was in those times and that women had to endure abuse in those times but there was such a dichotomy between her two major female characters that it was disturbing. It was as though one character got the happily ever after while the other had nothing but heartache and abuse. I wanted to shake up the main character and tell her to stop allowing her husband to abuse her! It was disturbing but it was compelling. I had to keep reading and did, in fact, purchase the rest of the books in the series. I kept hoping for the happy ending. I won’t tell whether it was or not.
Thoroughly enjoy the way this was written. Well developed characters, interesting story line that carries you along. But most important was that I found no spelling or grammatical errors! I can’t say enough about how finding such just turns the whole book off. I will seek out this author again!
Good light reading
