Caitlin King can’t believe that her shopaholic cousin actually bought two ghosts off of eBay. But she can’t ignore the truth when she starts seeing sexy Liam O’Reilly, who’s been dead for over a hundred years. He’s a fascinating specter, and the more time Caitlin spends with him, the closer they become—sending them both spiraling into a star-crossed tailspin. No matter how desperately they long … they long for each other, there’s just no future with a guy who’s already stopped breathing.
In order to help Liam and his twin sister, Anna, leave their earthly limbo and cross over into the light, Caitlin must find the ghost of Anna’s fiancé. But a malevolent spirit is dead set against Anna moving on. Now Caitlin will have to unravel the mystery surrounding the twins’ past lives in order to keep Liam’s spirit safe—even if it means sacrificing her heart in the process.

Who says ghosts are scary? Meet this ghost who is chivalrous, loving and magnanimous! He even understands emotions and yearns for love. He may have been bought by Marcy but he likes Caitlin and makes himself visible only to her as if there was some connection between them. Sandra has created an amazing character that you would love.
Ghost for Sale? The title fascinated me and I was curious to know more – $6000 for two ghosts? I wonder what Marcy had in her mind while buying them but she feels cheated, as she couldn’t find any of them in the box she receives. The story is packed with emotions though the premise is laughable; it moves fast and the ghost lends a special charm to it. There are many fun moments – I liked the way Liam reacts to Caitlin’s manner of dressing and her boy friends. It is a delightful tale if you approach it with an open mind. The ending might surprise you but I like it.
Fun, Lighthearted, Whimsical!
Some the oddest things have been sold on eBay, like air from a Kanye concert, a lucky grilled-cheese sandwich with the image of the Virgin Mary, and Britney Spears’s chewed gum. So when a friend recommended Sandra Cox’s story, “Ghost for Sale,” I knew I had to grab it and find out for myself what it’s like to buy an utterly ridiculous item, like a ghost!
I recently took a 15-hour road trip and needed something to whisk me away from the monotony of the drive and so my journey with Caitlin and her roommate cousin, Marcy, began. Marcy comes from money, has no problem spending it frivolously, and orders a ghost from eBay. Two, in fact. When they arrive and Marcy isn’t able to see them, she feels she’s been taken for a ride. However, Caitlin is able to see not two ghosts, but rather a single ghost, Liam. She keeps “her” ghost a secret from everyone, including her cousin.
I don’t want to spoil this adorable story by giving away too much, I much rather enjoy being surprised at every turn while reading it. So I’ll say that I absolutely loved it! I was smiling through most of this fantastic book, though not having to drive while doing my favorite thing in the world – reading a great book – also led to much happiness. The story is upbeat, and though there is a mystery to be solved, a murder, and suspense, it’s all done in a delightful writing style that kept me chomping for more. The only time my smile waned was when my husband interrupted my reading to ask me to navigate our journey. Once done, I was happily back in Ms. Cox’s world and spellbound again.
Ghost for Sale made a long journey fly! And if you enjoy something a little unorthodox, don’t mind the muscles around your mouth getting sore from smiling, have an arduous journey ahead of you, or just need a little pick-me-up, then this is the book for you. It’s just plain fun!
“Ghost for Sale” is a charming YA paranormal read. It was funny to think about ghosts being sold over eBay and Marcy wanting a refund when she was disappointed. When the order arrived, one tube was broken, and one appeared empty. My first thought was, ‘what were you thinking’, until the roommate, Caitlin, saw a ghost. It was a good-looking ghost from the late 1800s that Caitlin kept secret from her cousin, Marcy. It was fun seeing the ghost, Liam’s reactions to the modern woman and all the technology, and how well he adapted. The broken tube was his twin sister, and then Caitlin and Liam worked together in an attempt to reunite the sister with the man she loved. The ending surprised me because I expected this to go a different way, but I like how it ended. This is a sweet paranormal love story with a twist that I thoroughly enjoyed!
