E.B. Brown draws readers back into her Time Walkers world with this first volume in the Time Dance series. This captivating tale of two lovers unfolds in seventeenth century Virginia, following Emmy and Daniel through danger, death, and heartbreak in a time when the English ruled over the scattered remains of the Powhatan Empire.GHOST DANCEShe was his beginning, his life, and his end. And she did … life, and his end. And she did not know it yet.
Daniel is the orphaned son of a Powhatan warrior, born in seventeenth century Jamestown. When he is injured in the Battle of Bloody Run and left for dead, he wakes in the care of a young woman named Emmy. As she nurses him back to health, he soon realizes that she is from another time – and that she is the Time Walker his enemies have been searching for.
Emmy is a reluctant Time Walker, sent to 1656 Virginia on her mother’s dying command. She prepares for her journey to the past as much as any modern woman could, but soon she realizes that the ancient blood running through her veins makes her a target for danger no matter what time she is in. Daniel is a complication she did not expect – a man who is tangled in her heart and her history in a way that can never be undone.
In a time when settlers flooded the New World under the rule of English Kings and the First People fought to keep their way of life, an alliance between Daniel and Emmy is not easily achieved. Yet as their lives are irrevocably entwined by fate and circumstance, they realize they must trust each other if they hope to survive what the history books have already written.
Ghost Dance is the first volume in the Time Dance series.

I was very entertained, will probably read the next in the series at some point
What a great set of stories. Captured my attention from first chapter & had to force my hand to put it down. Fabulous characters living history in early American history with the first settlement in Jamestown, Virginia. Wonderfully researched thoroughly documented in a fantastic novel of fiction. Characters you fall in love with intimacy written in delicate descriptions without being offensive. Very well written. Highly recommended
All of Ms. Brown’s books are amazing. Ghost Dance is no exception. From the in-depth research and historical accuracy to the flow of the plot, and truly believable characters, this book sings of time well spent. Please note: Readers of Ms. Brown’s other books will note the hero of Ghost Dance was a secondary character in Time Walkers.
Good book but you have to read others in the series to truly finish the story. But I plan to read the next in the series, so it must be pretty good.
Wonderful series!
I have loved all of the Time Walker books.
Great series! Very well written!
I don’t recommend this book.
I recommend this book. It kept me interested with twists and turns. I will definitely be reading more from this author!
I loved the whole series
Loved the storyline and characters!
I found myself constantly wondering why the protagonist and her brother had to go and live in such a dismal dirty time period. What was the point? All they did is run for their lives! I kept wishing she and her brother could go back to the future where they had grown up and live a good life there. The author tried to make the romance steamy but it didn’t get there for me as I kept thinking, when was the last time he or she bathed? I didn’t find the story romantic, it was predictable and the ending left me dangling a bit.
Interesting premise however, I had issues with the descriptions of the land and lengths of travel. I live in the area where the tale is set. There is no way the characters could move from one place to another in the time frames given. That being said, I read the entire series so I thought it was noteworthy.
Starts out with too much savagery and killing…couldn’t continue reading it.
I’m hooked! It has led me to begin at the beginning, with the Time Walkers Collection.
I really liked this book and look foward to reading the next one in the series. I was very skeptical when i started it about if i would like it or not , but I am glad I did.
I enjoyed this time travel novel and will look for sequel!
Interesting if unoriginal premise, but a largely unrealized potential. The book ended abruptly and seemed to be written mainly to make you buy the next one. I won’t be doing that. The author needs to look things up in a dictionary or get a good editor. Several words incorrectly used to jarring or humorous effect.
A great twist. Loved the incorporation of the many cultures in this story.
Love the whole series. Just waiting for the latest two of the series.
