“Hilarious, sexy, and thrillingly high action. GET THIS BOOK!”- NYT Bestselling Author Darynda Jones
Using her well-worn Tarot deck, magical-artifacts hunter Sara Wilde can find anything—for a price. And the price had better be right, since she needs to finance her own personal mission to rescue several young psychics recently sold on the paranormal black market.
Enter Sara’s most mysterious … market.
Enter Sara’s most mysterious client and occasional lover, the wickedly sexy Magician, with a job that could yield the ultimate payday. All she’ll have to do is get behind Vatican walls… and steal the Devil himself.
But play with the Devil and you’re bound to get burned.
Pressure mounts for Sara to join the Magician’s ancient and mysterious Arcana Council, as militant forces unleashed by even darker powers seek to destroy all magic—including the young psychics Sara is desperate to keep safe. The Council may be their only hope. . . but it could also expose Sara’s own dark past.
From the twisting catacombs of Rome to the neon streets of Vegas, Sara confronts ancient enemies, powerful demigods, a roiling magical underworld about to explode… and immortal passions that might require the ultimate sacrifice. But oh, what a way to go.
No matter how the cards play out, things are about to get Wilde.

This is not typically the kind of book that I go for, but it did still entertain me. If it’s in your go-to genre, you’ll probably love it. It was an easy read with an interesting plot, but there were times where I found myself rolling my eyes. Liking it–but rolling my eyes nonetheless. It kind of felt like one of those books where a man writes from the point of view of a woman just to prove that he can do it. Look up that twitter meme if you haven’t seen it.
A Tarot-packing treasurer hunter? Count me in. This first book in Stark’s bingeable series sets up a high-paced paranormal adventure for fans of the The Mummy, Darynda Jones and Carolyn Crane.
I read this before and like I always say, “If I Read Again. It’s Good”! Well I read again so go for it!
I’ve been sucked into this world with the first book can’t wait to get started in the next.
The whole series has just been amazing! Total page turners
After the tantalising glimpse into this world in One Wilde Night, Getting Wilde did not fail to deliver! I love the writing, love the character cast, and seriously dig the direction the books are headed. I can barely wait til November when the next book is released!
Jenn Stark’s Wilde series is a rich, complex stew of incredible plot twists and surprising characters. I am a rabid Sara Wilde fan, and am anxiously awaiting the true reveal of Sara’s potential powers and the conclusion of her on again, off again relationship with The Magician!!
Liked this book, it’s a real mover, with lots of excitement and very entertaining. Wish I could say more but am the type to read 2 or 3 books at the same time and tend to loose track as to which is which. It held my interest so it’s good in my book.
I like the plot twists and side stresses for this poor heroine! Her sarcastic whit speaks to my soul, and the romantic triangle with both being potentially devastating…. all around good books!
I had this on my Paperwhite for a while, and finally read past the first few pages. It reads like an Urban Fantasy Dan Brown. There are hunts for magic artifacts, something that I enjoy if done well. I did enjoy this book for the most part, though sometimes it got too Dan Brown explanatory and there was a little side quest I kind of glossed over. I’m sure that will be important in the future, though.
So this was a fun read. I enjoyed it and there were a lot of laugh out loud moments. I think the thing that made this not a 5 star book (but close to it) was the Magician. I just couldn’t get into him and I’m not sure why. Maybe because it seemed like he was just interested in sex and tormenting Sara? There was one line toward the end of the book that made me feel different and more interested in the relationship, but I wished I’d had that feeling the whole book.
Anyway, I overall enjoyed it and am interested in reading the next one. Just can’t give it 5 stars because I needs me some more romance. 🙂
Also, I really love this cover.
It took me awhile to sort out the characters, but liked the way the author linked the main characters to the tarot card characters! Leaves you wanting to know what happens to Sara and exactly what other talent she might find that she possesses. Great read!
some editing issues. Tarot seems forced, but all in all a good read
