I’ve been uninspired, stuck in a rut.
I needed to get lucky… Fast.
And if fortune does favor the brave,
I’m ready to risk it all.
The moment I laid eyes on her, she was all I could see.
Talking to my paintbrushes is nothing new to me,
But the girl behind the counter certainly is.
Pink hair, fiery personality, and curves for days,
They didn’t name the store Paddy’s for nothing.
Because as … nothing.
Because as destiny would have it, I’ve found my muse.
And I would do anything to lock eyes with her again.
Like paint stunning, colorful portraits of her,
And then invite her and her art class to my exhibit.
But when she comes home with me that night,
I know it’s the beginning of something truly beautiful.
Too bad her arrogant father is ruthless and controlling,
Thinking I don’t have a real job and can’t take care of her.
But I’ll show him just how good for her I am.
And when I found out she’s carrying my baby,
I vow to be a better father than her old man ever was.
Because nothing will come between my muse and our tiny masterpiece.

This was great
Hope was a little rebellious while in college in Chicago, she didn’t want to work for her dad in New York. While in her past semester she takes an art class and starts working at a art supply store. That is where she meets Chris and her whole world chanes.
I loved this book from start to finish! My only wish is that I could see Chris’s paintings (; I loved Chris and Hope. I laughed and cried with Hope! You definitely have to check this out!

He will paint his Pink Haired Muse for eternity
Getting Lucky is the first book in the Holiday Romances series by Annie J. Rose. It is the story of Chris, a painter, as in artist, and Hope, who works in the art story he gets his supplies at. Chris has hit the artist wall so to speak. But when he goes to pick up supplies he meets Hope and his wall is torn down immediately and he paints a series of paintings. Hope is a college student who left her overprotective and ultra controlling father in NYC to come to Chicago. When Chris comes in she is attracted to him.
When Chris has an art exhibit Hope attends. It is then that she realizes she is his muse and the paintings are all based on her. Afterwards they start a relationship with both of them madly in love with the other. They are building their future together. But her father comes back into her life like a whirling dervish and upends everything for Hope.
Will Hope be able to find strength from Chris to stand up for herself and for them? Will Chris be able to hold onto Hope and deal with her father? Will these two get to the HEA that were on the way to?
This book was nicely written with an interesting story-line. The characters were good but at times I really did want to reach out and knock some sense into Hope. But then I would remember that it is hard to break free from someone who has controlled your ever move for so long. I did enjoy reading Getting Lucky.
I received an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review. My opinions are all my own.

Chris is searching for his muse but it isn’t going well. That is until he went to get more supplies and meets Hope. Hope is working at the store to earn extra money and to make her father mad. Sparks fly between her and Chris when he comes in. Chris goes home from the one visit and paints like crazy and the subject is all Hope. Hope is in an art class and her teacher thinks she’d be a great artist of she had the confidence. Her father is always on to her about what she is doing with her life so much that she feels sick just seeing his number on her phone. When her art class goes to the art opening she is stunned that she is Chris’s artwork. Chris talks her into going out with him and things heat up between them. Will Chris allow her father to continue to treat her the way he does?
This is a great story that will draw you in from the first chapter and leave you wanting more with the last. The chemistry between them is blazing hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

This book came out just in time for St Patrick’s day. Chris is a local artist and he meets Hope at the store where he is buying supplies. He is instantly attracted to Hope and he wants more of her. Hope has her misgivings which is because of controlling father and that is why she moved to a different state to get away from her father. Chris wants to paint Hope which she agrees to and this Chris invites her to attend the gallery where his paintings will be showcased. Her dad finds out and thinks Chris is useless. Chris is determined to prove to Hope that he can be the man she needs and more so than ever because she is pregnant.

Grace is in college taking art classes and works at an art store where she meets Chris who is a famous artist. I love the way the author brought Chris and Grace together and how she became his muse for his art. This is a beautiful love story about two people who find each other at the right time in their lives. Getting Lucky is filled with family drama, insta love, likable characters and a great ending.
Hope is working in an artist supply store. She is defying her father who is trying to control her life. This also explains her pink hair. This is where she meets the gorgeous tattooed artist called Chris. Hope is also doing an art course to defy her father. When all of the students in the class are invited to a gallery showing, little does she know that she is the object of the paintings. Eighteen of them. A controlling father. An inheritance. Pink. Tattooes. Defiance. Hot stuff. A great book and I absolutely loved it. I love the work of this author.
I thought this was a pretty good story but don’t be misled by the name of the book or the cover; it had no Irish to it at all except its release date was near St. Patrick’s Day 2020. Very misleading. In fact, the color, bright pink on Hope’s hair, was the main color with no green mentioned!
Getting Lucky is a wonderful and delightful read. It has a good storyline. Hope and Chris are enjoyable to read about. Its a page turner and kept my interest throughout the story.

This book was perfection!! All of the pieces fit together and exploded into a HEA for Chris and Hope. Her father made me want to tell him off myself but the reasons he tried controlling her every breath was obvious from the jump. Just glad they all figured it out to be able to enjoy their little miracle!! Lots of steamy romance too!

I received this ARC from Bad Boy Update. Hope loves art, but knows if she wants to stay in school she has to keep taking business classes. She hates that her father controls her life, but she keeps telling herself it is done out of love. She meets Chris, a painter, at the art store where she works. She refuses to take any more money from her father than she needs and the upside is the sexy painter than comes in! Chris is looking for a muse and finds one in the sexy, pink haired Hope. She has no idea that she is the inspiration behind his latest work, until she see herself hanging in an art gallery. I love their story, her issues and betrayals of her father, Chris getting his mojo back, and the surprise neither of them saw coming! Loved it!
Hope and Chris meet by chance, while Chris is picking up art supplies. He is so intrigued that Hope becomes his inspiration for a large exhibit.
The couple has some growing up to do, especially how Hope allows her father to control her.. In this, the story is very much a coming of age story, more than an overcoming obstacles story.
The title and cover page does not link to the story in my opinion. In all the story is only average, if a bit drawn out, with very little emotional connection between the reader and characters. But perhaps this was due to the fact that I could not connect with either MC.

Can they win?
Chris meets Hope at his regular art supply store. He loves her pink hair and is smitten with her personality and beauty. After he features his pictures of her in his next exhibition their relationship deepens; however, her father becomes more of a jerk in his interference. Both Chris and Hope are characters you can’t help but love and want the best for them. As far as her father goes … Great characters that come alive via Ms. Rose draw you into their story until the very end.

I loved Hope and Jack’s story and their chemistry was immediate and electric. She’s rich, has a controlling father and pink hair. He’s a struggling artist and she becomes his muse. Lots of family dynamics and meddling in-laws. The story is sweet and fun to read. Some drama, a few twists, a tad sweet and well written. The characters are well developed and likable. A good story that I read an arc via Bad Boy Update and voluntarily chose to write a review. A HEA with no cliffhanger.
