MarisaWhen a friend and I go to a speed dating event, I don’t expect much out of the evening. People don’t actually meet their soulmates this way, do they? Then a hot-as-hell man sits down across from me, and I’m instantly smitten with him. I feel like I’m dreaming when Gabe and I ditch the speed date to go on a real one.As our first date comes to an end, I’m already fantasizing about our future. … fantasizing about our future.
But the next evening, our paths cross again in a way that leaves me mortified. This isn’t going to work, is it?
Gabe
I’m surprised when Marisa shows up at my office with the night cleaning crew. But I don’t judge her for it. I’m still just as taken with her as I was when we met last night.
She’s got the biggest heart and the most luscious curves—and I’d be lying if I said I haven’t been daydreaming about making her my bride.
After our run-in, though, Marisa is convinced we’re too different from each other. But I know we’re destined to be together. So now it’s up to me to show her that she belongs by my side, and that I belong by hers.
GETTING GABE is a short instalove romance with steam, sweetness, and a happily-ever-after! This novella can be read as a standalone, but is best enjoyed with the rest of the Dirty Sweet Alphas series.

I loved this story of pure instalove, but it was just missing something. The characters had great potential, I just feel as if I didn’t have a chance to really connect with them and the plot itself was good but I felt the same. This story definitely went from 0-60 in a chapter flat – and I was left feeling a little lost because of all the potential that as missed.
Kate did great with the setup, the steam, and the chemistry between the character but if she would’ve added just a little more depth I would be over the moon in love with this book

This was an interesting premise, but fell just short of the mark. Gabe and Marisa meet at a speed dating event; Gabe sees her from across the room and jumps in to meet her. The start of the book is really good, with very likable characters. After that, however, it’s as if the author runs out of steam. It’s suddenly months later and you’re getting a review of their relationship. The first part of the book is well developed, the second half very rushed with very little detail. I really wanted to like this book and recommend it, but it’s just not well thought out enough.

This was another amazing quick novella by Kate Hunt. The characters were strong, determined, passionate, understanding, creative, protective, had personality and chemistry, and displayed realistic emotions which drew the reader into the story. Once hooked by Gabe and Marisa, Hunt maintained the reader’s rapt attention throughout the story, wanting to know more about their situation as the story progressed.
Gabe was a highly successful businessman. Marisa was struggling trying to get her catering company off the ground. She ended up taking a custodial job in order to pay her bills in the process. As a pick-me up, she and a friend went to a speed dating event. Though he was not there for the event, when Gabe saw Marisa, he approached her and they ended up spending the evening together.
The next time they saw each other, however, was at his office while she was on her first day of her new job. She was mortified that he was so successful while she was cleaning the toilets! Gabe, however, did not care. He knew she was just paying her dues while she was getting her business off the ground. He tried to talk to her but she ignored him and his calls to. It was not until he showed up, taking a part-time job as a custodian along side her, that she understood that he was serious about her and that he meant it when he said her job did not define her. Marisa gave in and agreed to give them a chance, she also slowly started getting catering jobs which helped her business plan.
What would come of Marisa’s decision? Would the differences be too much to surmount, or would they get their HEA? Read Getting Gabe today and find out.

Marisa is at a speed dating event that is going all sorts of wrong. Gabe is passing through after a meeting and spots her. Not being part of the event she is attending doesn’t stop him from sitting down with her. The date is quite an event of its own. When she sees him the next night, while working as a member of the custodial staff at his building, she knows things are too different between them. One thing leads to another and he ends up vowing to prove to her that the current job she holds doesn’t matter to him. He proves it to her in spades. This one is quite cute. It has the insta- part, but it is well done. I’m looking forward to the other friends getting their stories.

Good but simple
3,5
Good, well-written romance, which I enjoyed the meeting of the two main characters and their unexpected new encounter, but the story then remains simple. I would have liked it to be a little longer because the end is fast ending.
