Travis Bennett is exactly the kind of guy Lauren Davis has been avoiding for the past nine years. Stubbornly. Successfully. She knows too well how easy it is to let lust ruin perfectly laid plans. And a small town farmer with no ambitions beyond the borders of his own cornfield is not going to change her mind. No matter how hot that farmer might be.Travis has everything he wants or needs—a quiet, … needs—a quiet, simple life in his hometown, a successful farm and his friends and family all around. Lauren might be stuck in Sapphire Falls for now, but a hoity-toity city chick who looks down on everything from the local coffee to his favorite music is the last girl he wants hanging around for good. So to keep her from falling for his hometown, he decides to show her all the reasons that this is no place for French manicures and Gucci heels.
And things just might get a little dirty.

I really enjoyed Lauren and Travis’ story. I must admit I wasn’t fussed on Lauren in the first book but she grew on me during the series so far. Lauren is strong and confident in herself but also vulnerable and scared as a result of a past relationship and seeing how relationships changed her Mum and sister. I enjoyed seeing the softer side to her. Travis is comfortable with himself and where he is at in life, he loves Sapphire Falls and everything that gives him. But I think Lauren challenges him to think about that and whether he wants new experiences. The deal they make at the beginning, their ‘experiment’ is complete crazy but makes for some very interesting and steamy ‘tests’!
Well, this is pure and simple entertainment. It’s a fun, quick read that has engaging characters. Although those characters are not all that deep, they are fairly entertaining. Getting Dirty is the third book in the Sapphire Falls series. It’s all about a city girl who secretly has a hankerin’ for country boys and country life but really doesn’t want to.
Lauren Davis is the other genius behind IAS and this is her story. She’s going places, has been places, still has other places to see and things to do. There is no way she can be stuck in Sapphire Falls, Nebraska. On a farm. Raising chickens. With a good ‘ole boy. No matter how enticing that good ‘ole boy is. Travis Bennett is a fifth-generation farmer on the land that has been in his family for a couple of hundred years. He knows exactly who he is, what he likes, and where he wants to be for the rest of his life. There’s no place like Sapphire Falls, Nebraska that he’d rather be. Getting Dirty is proof that opposites attract. And when they do, it’s all sorts of fun!
I liked this story, not exactly sure why this one took me so much longer to read than the other Sapphire Falls books. It took me almost a month to read. Maybe it’s because Lauren was trying so hard not to like a town I loved? All in all the book was good, I still can’t get over how long it took me to read.
Aww what a great story. City girl, Lauren is falling in love with Sapphire Falls but she doesn’t want to, so she enlists the help of Farmer Boy, Travis to show her all the regular day to day boring stuff about Sapphire Falls so she will no longer be charmed by the town. But the plan backfires and she’s still in love with the town and ends up being charmed by Travis as well. Their road to HEA was pretty funny and cute. Very entertaining reading how these two navigate through their feelings and what they think they want for their own future. Both Travis and Lauren were totally hot and together they short circuited my kindle. I really enjoyed this story and can’t wait to read more about this cute little town.
Favorite book out of the sapphire falls series.I loved Travis and how he was taunting Lauren most of the series but how you could see they were perfect together.
