Darby has always been ‘that’ guy.The guy that no man, woman, or child wants around their loved one.See, a long time ago he made some bad decisions. Those bad decisions have haunted him ever since. No matter what he does, people still see him as the town’s screw up. The boy that sold his soul to the Devil.Years later, he’s turned himself around. Made amends and ultimately turned into a generally … into a generally good guy. Only, it’s hard to act like a good guy when people still treat you like the old you, and not the new you.
Enter Waylynn Jennings.
Waylynn has watched Darby Valentine from afar for a very long time.
She’s witnessed the changes in him and knows the only reason he’s so mean is to protect the man that lies within. A battered, injured soul that deserves more than what he’s received. Even his own family takes him for granted.
She’s made it her new mission in life to prove to everyone that Darby isn’t the bad guy. That he’s a kind-hearted, sweet soul that’s just looking for a place to fit in.
Only, Darby is fairly sure that Waylynn is out to kill him, not help him. How else do you explain all the fights he’s having to break up on her behalf, or all the times he has to come to her rescue when she’s managed to put her cute little butt right in the middle of something where it shouldn’t be?
There’s obviously only one solution. He has to make her his. Then everyone will know not to mess with her. Darby Valentine protects what’s his. No matter what the cost.

A beautiful ending to the series! Ashley @ Carolina Chic’s Read
I hate to see it end! The Valentine family was a quick series that I would love to see go on but I know Lani Lynn Vale has more words to give us about others and her writing just keeps getting better every book. Darby the baby of the family was the bad boy who his family can’t see is grown up. Waylynn has just wanted to be loved and accepted. Can Darby help Waylynn find that she is worth being loved? Can Waylynn help show the community and the Valentine family he is not the boy they once knew but the man he has become? This is a great end to the series and LLV even gives us a glimpse of the future this family has in the become!
5 Wonderful STARS!
What a great ending to this series! Elizabeth @ Carolina Chic’s Read
Darby & Waylynn are thrown together in this story and they have so many fireworks! Darby has a need for family, to feel wanted and appreciation, but he is not feeling that. This leads him to an electric connection to a girl that is so easy to love he just can’t help himself. Waylynn has never felt love or absence of belonging. What does she do with this pull she feels for the youngest Valentine boy? She goes with it & IT IS BEAUTIFUL!
5 BUCKED STARS!
I was hooked from the blurb on this one and then I was just smiling most of the time reading this. Darby is the misunderstood hero that has turned his life around. Not everyone sees him that way though, not unless it’s Waylynn. Their relationship is cute and funny and downright sexy. What got me was all the times Darby had to come rescue her and the banter between them.
Get Bucked was the perfect conclusion to the Valentine Boys’ stories. I will so miss these rambunctious men. I have adored, swooned, and laughed my tush off these men over the last few months.
Lani Lynn Vale did a fantastic job wrapping the series. I pray one day she may circle back and give us more Valentine love.
Waylynn Jennings & Darby Valentine were two souls destined to be together. Both received the short end of the stick when it came to fathers. They did not have the best childhoods, but both came out of it okay and as people others respected.
Seriously, I stinking love Waylynn aka Way. She a little bada$$. There are a few times in this book, I was like Darby kiss her feet boy. She is too kick butt. Holy smack. lol
By the end of this book, I was giggling at the entire Valentine clan. I completely adore the entire group so much. The ending was perfect. I just love Darby and Way.
This is the final book in the Valentine Boys series. It is a standalone. I’ve been waiting for Darby’s book since we first met him in Nico and Georgia’s book.
He was a complete shithead and asshole then.
Now he is all grown up and is completely different from when he was younger.
But, not everyone sees that. They still see him as a mess up and trouble maker.
Waylynn hasn’t had the easiest life either.
I love how this was an “almost: enemies to lovers read. I say almost because they didn’t truly hate each other.
Waylynn sees the real Darby. The one that loves his family and even protects them by putting himself in harms way. He would do anything for them.
This book is the perfect ending. The epilogue tied it all together and closed it perfectly.
This is another series I will enjoy re-reading over and over again.
“Women will never know the dread of when your dick touches the inside of a toilet bowl.”
This is the final book in the Valentine series. This series has been good & wonderfully written as all of LLV’s books are, but was not my top series. I enjoy her other series focusing on cops, firefighters, etc. in characters. Don’t get me wrong these sexy cowboys are enjoyable & are full of steaminess! Darby, the baby of this family & in prior books had the bad boy vibe with some juvenile delinquent mixed in. I expected so much more in his story, more of his earlier years & showing more of how he got to where he is now. This story flowed very quickly & before I realized it was over. Waylynn is sassy & could put her foot down, not falling for the charming arrogant Darby. She was a good h to his H. Their story was so light & fluffy that I felt there was something missing. In a way I am said that boys are coming to an end, but am excited for what the future holds. A great end to a great series!
I recommend this book. Told in dual POV.
What an epic conclusion to the series! I just knew Darby’s story was going to blow me away!! Darby is always underestimated and looked at like a bad seed stemming from his wild days as a teenager. He is trying so hard to make it up to everyone but his brothers still treat him like the wayward teenager that he portrayed all those years ago. But Waylynn sees him for the man he has become. They have this almost electric connection. Waylynn has grown up feeling unloved and second best. She has an absentee bull fighter as a father and her mother left them when she was a child. She is such a strong personality and I love her for it. She feels a pull towards the youngest Valentine, will she give in? I am sad to see the series coming to an end but I can’t wait for the next adventure I take with this author!!
Darby may have made some bad decisions when he was younger, but he’s straightened up and has been an upstanding citizen for years now. He aced college, now has a job teaching at his university, along with still helping on the family ranch. And yet, his family still treats him like he’s the same hellraising kid he was years ago. He’s sick of it. And then Waylynn pokes her adorable nose in his business and decides to show him that he is a good guy deserving of love. Will Darby let her in or are the effects of his family’s disbelief in him too much for him to bear?
Get Bucked is so freakin sweet and sexy. I adored Darby and Way together. She was such a spitfire, and I love how she was determined to get him to see his own worth, how she stood up for him to his family. Sigh…so sweet! If you’re in the mood for something sweet, sexy and low angst, this is the perfect read for you.
5 Stars
Darby Valentine is the proverbial bad boy and has finally cleaned up his act. Now if only he can get his family to see that. Darby and Waylynn’s story just melted my heart. These two go to bat for each other time and again and don’t realize they’ve fallen for each other until nothing else matters. I devoured this story in one sitting. I just couldn’t put it down. It’s a sweet love story with all the feels, plenty of laugh out loud moments, and lots of steamy sexiness. I’m truly sad this series is over, but I have loved every single page of it.

When I read Georgia and Nico’s book, I didn’t think Darby was ever going to get past the anger of his past. Things were looking up toward the end, but he was still so full of anger, it was palpable. I hurt for everything those boys (and Georgia!) went through. It was an unthinkable tragedy, and definitely left it’s mark on all of the Valentines.
Waylynn is my hero! I want to be her when I grow up! She had an unconventional childhood, but is definitely one of the coolest characters I’ve read about! She takes what life hands her and makes the most of it, living her best life everyday! And Darby! He compliments her personality perfectly! The two of them are just the couple to take the world by storm, and come out stronger on the other side!
Waylynn and Darby were so much fun! I never knew what they were going to do next, but I knew I’d get a huge laugh out of it! Their take-no-crap attitude made me smile (and kept me guessing!) right through to the very end of the book. The only thing that got me about this book, is how I temporarily saw a side of some of my favorite characters (The Valentine boys!) that I really didn’t like all that much, they totally redeemed themselves in the end. This book really proves that family may not always like each other, but they always have each other’s backs! This was another amazing Valentine Boys story, and it just makes me want to go back and re-read them all!
I received a complimentary ARC – early release copy of this book in Kindle format from the author for review purposes.
This is the last book in the Valentine series about Georgia’s brothers. This is the youngest, Darby’s story and the author pairs him with Waylynn who is awesome. She is fun, perky and a real go getter and her and Darby are absolutely fun and perfect together.
In this story Way has moved to town and her dad has bought a crappy house and a large parcel of land, near where the Valentine boys live. Darby and Way know each other from the rodeo and so he helps her around town and they end up as roomies and that’s when the fun really starts.
This was a really fun story with no big issues at all. Its about the family we love no matter what and about love and friendship and I absolutely adored this story.
Ok so that epilogue made me all warm and squishy. But I really can’t believe that’s the end of my Valentine’s. I had honestly forgotten that this was it when I started reading the book so when I got to that epilogue and it hit me I suddenly wanted to read a hell of a lot slower.
Darby was such a misunderstood character. His family still saw him as the hell raising, angry, trouble making, teenager he had been and missed the years where he had grown up and turned his life around. And I felt his pain. Until we got more of Waylynn’s story anyway.
Waylynn really made my heart hurt. Not once did she complain or feel sorry for herself and damn did she deserve to. I really wanted Darby to kick her dad’s arse for being such a selfish acehole. But I guess in the end her dad doesn’t matter when she has the Valentine family to fold her into their brand of love, support and craziness.
This book was super sweet and I read it in one sitting with a big smile on my face. And even though I’m going to miss them all, I have loved every minute of the series. The heartbreak, the laughs, but mostly, the love. And thank God they are always there for a re-read.
Get Bucked
Darby is the final Valentine brother to find himself a match Waylynn and Darby have known each other for a while after her father took Darby under his wing when he first started working with the rodeo However, Darby was a troubled youth and isn’t really looking to be in a relationship with anyone but the more he hangs out with Way, the more he finds himself attractive to her.
Way has basically raised herself as her father was always working and not around much. Now she’s hanging out with the one Valentine she shouldn’t but she can’t help who she’s attracted too
Loved Darby and Way and hopefully in the far future we get more of these couples or maybe their kids for a next generation Valentine series
I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie’s Book Reports.

You are going to fall so in love with Darby Valentine that it is not even funny. He is the bad boy of Kilgore that has worked really really hard to change his ways. The only one that sees this though is Waylynn and she is determined to show the town that he has changed. I loved these two. They have the most amazing chemistry and this book will have you so engrossed you will forget the crazy world that we are living in right now. I loved it so much and as always the headings on the chapters are the best!e
LOVED! This was my favorite Valentine book by far!! I loved getting to see more of Darby’s inner thoughts, he was always underestimated and I loved seeing his brothers learn to appreciate that! Waylynn was so entertaining! I loved how strong & quirky she was…I mean she literally handled a robber like a BOSS!
This was an amazing series & I just loved it!
This is the final book in this series about the Valentines Boys and I am so sad to say goodbye. Lani left the best till last with this one.
Darby has been through so much and has really shown the most growth throughout this series. He started off a stupid punk, lashing out and making bad decisions until his BIL Nico pointed him in the right direction and he turned his life around and has grown into quite a fine young man. He works hard and loves his family, he has heart and soul.
Throughout this series I have loved these Valentines boys but this one made me quite ragey at them and super protective over Darby. They still treated him like he was the stupid kid he used to be, someone who couldn’t be trusted and needed to be told what to do. My heart honestly broke for him but I was so happy he had someone like Waylynn on his side! she stood up to his brothers and my heart was happy.
I loved Waylynn, she was strong and totally independent. She has never really had anyone to lean on, to support her, not even her parents (god I wanted to punch her dad, selfish idiot) until Darby bulldozes into her life.
The chemistry between them is off the charts hot and I loved it!! they were so perfect together!
Loved the epilogue were we got to see all the Valentines Boys and their families! I can’t imagine the chaos with them all living together in that house with their families but it made my heart feel happy.
Well down Lani on a simply brilliant series
Darby Valentine has always been the little brother who screws up but now that he has graduated from college and wants more than just the family business, then in walks Waylynn Jennings the woman who he always thought hated him but he was so wrong. This was the perfect ending to this series, Lani Lynn Vale gives us complex characters, family and a story that you will want to read again and again. Highly recommended!!!!
This is the 4th book in this amazing series and is Darby and Waylynn’s story. My heart broke for Darby! Darby had made mistakes in his past, but this reformed bad boy has redeemed himself. Watlynn knows that he has changed, and she stands by him, even though their relationship is complicated as they move from enemies / lovers, they are just perfect together, and the chemistry between them is explosive. This is a beautifully written story which is emotional, heartfelt, and an all-round wonderful story which had me captivated throughout this addictive page turner. I highly recommend for all.
Fourth book in the Valentine Boys series and just as good as the other three. Lani writes amazing books and each one shows off her writing style. Darby is the trouble maker of the family. At least he was. He has changed his ways in more than one way. But his family is not quite accepting of it. Waylynn moves back to town when her father purchases land and an old house that is on property that Darby wanted to purchase because it was close to his family’s property. These two knew each other from the rodeo circuit when her father and Darby worked together on it.
These two get to know each other better over the weeks together and learn that they have more in common then they realize. But will family come between them? They both sacrifice for each other but will it be enough? I absolutely loved reading about Darby and Waylynn. I loved the fire and chemistry these two have and how well they get along. This was a great ending to this series. Lani wrote another amazing book.
I am loving these Valentine men! Get Bucked is the fourth and final book and a perfect way to finish a series! It is a fun, steamy story that you definitely have to check out!
Darby is trying to get away from his troubled bad boy reputation after all of the shenanigans he got into when he was young. He had changed and is responsible and hard working, but his reputation still follows him. Now, it seems his luck is changing especially when he has a chance to get to know Waylynn. She is smart, sassy and has blown into his life like a perfect storm. They are perfect together, have an easy banter and the chemistry growing between them is something that will have steam rising from the pages.
If you love to read about a hot cowboy and the woman who stole his heart then grab your copy and enjoy!
