“Shalvis makes me laugh, makes me cry, makes me sigh with pure pleasure.”—Susan Andersen When Breanne Mooreland gets left at the altar, she decides the best thing to do is to go on her honeymoon alone. Of course, she loses her luggage along the way and ends up snowed in at a Sierra mountains lodge run by a noticeably quirky staff. And before she can order room service, she finds a naked—and … service, she finds a naked—and gorgeous—man taking a shower in her suite who refuses to leave . . .
Vice cop Cooper Scott is in serious need of a vacation. He’s not about to give up the only available room to a stranger because of a mix-up. They’ll just have to make the best of it by sharing the bed. They’re mature adults after all. But when Cooper wakes up kissing the long, leggy Breanne, he wants to show her exactly what the honeymoon suite is intended for. That will have to wait, though, because a screaming Breanne has just stumbled over one very dead body . . .

Cooper Scott is burned out …
This was entertaining and well worth the read! Good character development and interesting story line. I highly recommend this book!
Love all Jill shalvis books
First cozy mystery I’ve read from Jill Shavis. As usual, her characters are great and the story is full of twists and turns.
A really entertaining story. Breanne is taking her honeymoon alone after being ditched at the altar. After finding a naked man in her shower it seems that the room had been double booked. Now with the snow isolating them, they are stuck in the house with the staff and a dead body. The story is really well written and captivating.
The story had some twists and turns, until the end. A fun read.
“D+” – Way too much graphic sex scenes. The only saving grace was the dead body “who-dunit” mystery.
I have read several books with stranded in cabin in the middle of a snow story with stranger in the shower. But this one had me chuckling and wondering who Breanna’s night time visitor was that scared her into Cooper’s her the first night.
I enjoyed every minute.
I stumbled upon this “oldie but goodie” by Ms. Shalvis on Bookbub. I never heard of it (it came out in 2005), so I thought it would be a fun winter read during a cold winter month. It was a quick read, filled with dated technology (a Palmpilot?!?), a whiny heroine and a hero who was an interesting mix of tortured and horny, with the former not …
Rarely do I laugh out loud when reading a book but this was an exception! Great read!
I was very disappointed. I thought it would be more of a mystery. It was just too much sex, and not enough mystery to keep me entertained.
Predictable, boring.
This book started off well and funny but the book seems to be more about who is getting sex and the main characters are always doing sex acts which each other in detail. I don’t care for that. I know what sex is and if there is a little I’m ok with it but to go into detail every time with pages this says too much for me. The story could have …
This book had just about everything one can want! Laugh out loud funny at times, steamy and romantic. A mystery to solve. Highly recommend!
I usually love this author but this particular book is too far fetched and doesn’t present information to keep interest enough to want to read further. Couldn’t finish it even though I tried.
I Thoroughly enjoyed this book. I enjoyed the characters I really didn’t know how the death occurred and was pleasantly surprised by the ending.
This surprised me by turning out to be a very good murder mystery with some fun romance thrown in
Not my cup of tea. The bones of the story were good but not realistic. To much sex .
I like a good romance but for me this bordered on pornography
Loved it!!
