⅘ stars
Georgia On My Mind is the second book in KG Fletcher’s Southern Promises series and the second book I have read by this author. This could be read as a stand alone but I enjoyed knowing the backstory of Katie and Clay as they both appear in this book as well.
I enjoyed Hart in Katie’s life in book one so it was an interesting contrast seeing him in more depth and in a romantic relationship rather than a sibling role, I wasn’t disappointed. I liked Gia’s character as well and felt that the connection both characters shared was sweet with obvious instant chemistry.
Georgia On My Mind was engaging from the first page to the last with bumps in the road throughout. I enjoyed the storyline and felt that the conflicts were relatable and not over the top.
Overall it’s a sweet, quick read that I would recommend.
Georgia on my Mind (Southern Promises #2) by KG Fletcher is the second book in the Southern Promises series and is one intensely passionate read. KG writes her characters with so much feeling that it makes them feel so real. I enjoyed reading this story as the plot unveiled itself with a few twists and turns along the way. My emotions were all over the place as the layers were peeled back to expose these raw and wonderful characters and to read about Gia’s early life was heartbreaking. KG keeps you captivated till the very end whilst making you feel a part of their lives.
Grab your copy now you will not be disappointed. I look forward to reading more from KG.

After loving book 1 in this series I was really excited to read the second book in the series and enjoy more of the authors great writing style. I loved Hart and Gia’s story, I may not have got into it as quickly as Clay and Katie’s but once I did I was in love and hooked! This author really does create wonderful characters and I love her descriptive writing. I really felt like Hart and Gia were just perfect for each other. I really love this author’s way of creating characters, for me in this story it was Hart! I really felt like I could feel everything he did, I could feel his pain but also his joy at times. I really liked Gia too, I thought that she was a really strong character and I found myself just really wanting the best for her.
I am really looking forward to reading whatever else is going to come from this author, I love her writing style and her books are such a pleasure to read. I highly recommend this book and series so far, you will definitely fall in love in with the amazing characters!

We all make mistakes but Gia kept making them over and over. I didn’t really like her character because she is so indecisive. She needed help and had someone willing to help but instead she continued to lie. Hart forgave her for so much and yet his father does something and she just walks away. The author wrote an interesting story about two people from different backgrounds trying to make their relationship work. Learning to rely on others is hard especially if your trust has been broken before. I also liked that Hart was just a normal guy. Not a millionaire or billionaire looking to dominate some woman.

Georgia On My Mind by K.G. Fletcher is the second installment of the Southern Promises Series. It is a contemporary romance that can be read as a standalone. This is the story of Gia Bates and Hartford Parker. Gia is an independent and smart woman that has a passion for dancing. Hartford is in the process of finding himself after leaving his last place of employment due to issue he had. He doesn’t want anything to do with women, until he meets Gia. They both have an instant connection and attraction from the moment they meet. But in this relationship, there are secrets being harbored. What will happen when the secrets are revealed? Will the secrets hurt Gia and Hartford’s relationship? This is my first read by K.G. Fletcher and I truly enjoyed it. The author wrote a seamless story that will take you into the characters’ world from the moment you start reading until you are finished. I look forward to reading more books written by K.G. Fletcher and also reading this series from the beginning.

This is a wonderful follow up to part one Georgia Clay. This story centers round Katie’s brother Hart and Gia. Though their love story progresses quite quickly, it is true love. Hart is a real estate broker who got caught with his pants down, literally. After moving back home to Atlanta, he meets Gia at his buddy’s birthday party where she was doing a Marilyn Monroe impersonation. There was instant chemistry. Gia is a dancer who owns her own studio. She is doing gigs on the side trying to make ends meet. Can Hart be the knight in shining armor she has always dreamed about? Can they overcome the secrets of their past and learn to dance together?
The story was well written and flowed so smoothly, I was enraptured from start to finish. They had obstacles to overcome, especially Gia but I was rooting for them from the start. There were even times when I got choked up and shed a few tears. This is a book I thoroughly enjoyed.
Georgia On My Mind by KG Fletcher is the second book in the Southern Promises series. This can be read as a stand-alone although you will want to read the full series.
Gia is desperate. Desperate to make her dance studio work. So desperate that to make ends meet she is working as an impersonator to make ends meet.
Hartford is struggling. Struggling to come to terms with being fired from his prestigious firm. Living each day one at a time, doing nothing but working out and drinking, he has nothing else going for him.
And when the two of them meet it could be exactly what they need to then things around. Or what sends them spiralling.
I really enjoyed the first book and this book was just as good. The author wrote these characters in such a way that you can’t help but be sucked into their story. The storyline was interesting and will be sure to leave you wanting to read more by KG Fletcher.

I Loved this book!! I loved the first one as well but I think this one is my favorite. You could absolutely read this as a standalone, but dont…The first one Georgia Clay is completely awesome and those characters are in this book as well 🙂
This storyline was amazing, you take 2 broken people who just want to be happy but can’t seem to escape their pasts and you have all sorts of emotions while reading. I had all the feels while reading this story and there were times I just didn’t know what was going to happen. Hart and Gia were both such great people yet made some not so great decisions that almost ruined their lives. Can they get past these and find hope, love and happiness with each other?
This author has become an automatic one click for me..Her writing style is spot on and the way her stories flow you just get started and then the next thing you know your done. She has many books I have not read yet but will definitely be fixing that. Not sure if this series will go on but I would love it if it did, checking back in on these characters would be awesome!!
Many thanks to this author for giving me yet another story that I just know I will be rereading in the future.
Loved it!!
Georgia on my Mind by KG Fletcher is book two of the Southern Promises series. This book is the story of Hart and Gia. I loved this book as much as the first book in the series. I couldn’t put it down and finished it pretty quickly. The characters feel like real people. You meet them and you are instantly drawn into their story.
Gia is passionate about dance but unfortunately her studio isn’t doing so well and she feels like she is drowning in her debt. Because of this, Gia has a second job as a Marilyn Monroe impersonator. This is how Hart and Gia first meet.
Hart is swearing off women since his last hookup cost him his prestigious job in DC. When Hart runs into Gia at a party for a friend, there is just something about her that draws Hart in.
Will their paths cross again? Will they fight for each other and their happiness? Read their story and see if they can put their unfortunate situations aside and allow themselves to be happy.
These characters faced real problems that they had to try to overcome, especially if they want to be together. I was sucked into their story and by the end, felt like I knew them. I absolutely loved this book!
Georgia On My Mind by K.G. Fletcher is the second book in her Southern Promises series. I did not read the first book and it is actually my first encounter with this writer but I was intrigued by the blurb. I think you can read it as a standalone as you can follow the storyline easy as it is Hartford and Gia’s story though I can bet that Hartford was quite present in the first book!
Georgia On My Mind is a sweet romance story that feels real as Gia and Hart feel real and you are sticking close to them while they give you a run for your money! Both of them have their own demons and secrets, both of them are easy to relate to and both of them demand you root for them! It is a great story of how you can find your dreams again and there is light at the end of a long and hard day … even when you get so overwhelmed with the daily struggle …
I loved the bantering between Hart and Gia and I found myself laughing out loud … the story was a great combination of …basically anything that you look for in a romance story!
Georgia on My Mind by K.G. Fletcher the second book of the Southern Promises series. This was my first book by K.G. Fletcher and I can for sure say its not my last. This is a sweet and sexy book. Gia is a broke and broken dancer and Hartford is recovering from losing his career as a high power Real Estate Broker. They are not looking for a relationship but they instantly connect. This book keeps you reading to see if through all the crazy circumstances and bad decisions will they end up together. Its a great read. My first but most certainly not my last K.G. Fletcher book.
This series continues to delight! I loved the characters and plot development. I was immediately invested in the storyline and couldn’t put it down until the last page. I enjoyed this book and look forward to seeing how the series continues.
Georgia on my Mind (Southern Promises book 2) By KG Fletcher 4 Stars
This is the second book in the Southern Promises Trilogy. It can be read as a standalone, but I would suggest reading the first book, Georgia Clay first. This book continues where the first one left off, but it is Hart (Katie from book one’s brother) and Gia’s story. If you haven’t read the first book, this may contain spoilers from that book. Just like book one, this story is a cute romance book. It is a quick read with a HEA. The characters are believable and the character development in this book is true to life. Both Gia and Hart are broken souls that find themselves whole together. Both have secrets in their past, some of which they are embarrassed about. Neither one is looking for a partner, let alone love at this point in their lives. They are both on a path trying to get by with day to day living. Gia and Hart have all but given up on their dreams and aspirations. Hart finds himself living with his sister. When Katie leaves to go on tour with Clay, she puts Hart in charge of condo sitting. With his strained relationship with his dad and being let go from his perfect and prestigious job in DC, Hart finds himself back in Atlanta trying to drink his problems away. He hasn’t had any contact with a woman since leaving DC. He isn’t looking for female companionship either. He is just trying to live day by day and find another job in the lucrative real estate businesses. He is good at what he does, but one indiscretion on his part washed his whole career down the drain. Hart meets Gia in an unusual way and they find that they enjoy each other’s company. As the relationship progresses, Gia gets cold feet. She is such an independent person, she has yet to ask another for any type of help. She is strong willed and refuses to let others in on her burdens. This could be the breaking point to their relationship.
I recommend reading book one first before diving into this story, but it isn’t necessary. The reader will get in site on Katie and Clay, plus the background information on Hart that this book continues to uncover. Anyone who enjoys romantic love stories will fall in love with Hart and Gia.
eorgia On My Mind by K.G. Fletcher is the second book in the Southern Promises series. I definitely recommend reading Georgia Clay first, that will help with understanding the characters and you will not be disappointed. The story continues from Georgia Clay but this time is about Hart and Gia. Both Hart and Gia have been through so much and were broken. They are not looking for romance, just trying to get through each day as it comes. What will happen between Gia and Hart? Can they mend together?
Georgia On My Mind is well written and keeps you turning the page to see what will happen next. The characters are well developed, believable and have good chemistry. You are cheering them on hoping all will work out. I highly recommend this book, you will agree what a great story.

This is the second book in the Southern Promises series. I enjoyed this and read it fairly quickly. One of my favorite things about this author is how she writes these characters to make them so real. Meaning I can feel their feelings right along with them. Their happiness, pain and embarrassment is mine as well. She did an extremely good job on Hart’s character. His pain and anguish? Or Joy and pleasure? It was easily seen (aka read) and felt. Color me impressed!
I was so excited to see this one is about Hartford. I enjoyed many things about him in Georgia Clay. I am glad he called out to the author for his story. It was nice to see more sides of Hart. At times he seems so serious. Then You see the lighter side of him. He is so open around his mom and sister i could almost see him as a little boy. I love when he puts his arms around the women in his life. He seems so comfortable doing that. His smile? That’s a thousand-watter..right there. I can picture that in my head! His feelings for Gia? I loved reading how excited he was to get her to have coffee with him and how worried he was about screwing up with her.
Gia..first off..I love her name and what it’s short for! So creative! Gia is a strong, smart girl who the author also made relatable. Gia has dreams but is having a problem attaining them. She has been down on her luck for a while. But she keeps plugging along. She is an inspiration. It was nice to see her besties support her in good times and bad.
This is my second book by this author. The story flows nicely and, of course, I love the characters. I see there is going to be one more book in this series!!!! I wonder who it’s going to be about??? And when?? I am So excited!
Georgia on my Mind is book two in the super sweet Southern Promises series by KG Fletcher. I can honestly say that this series gets better in book two. Katie and Clay juggle the long distance thing, while trying to work and function without each other. Their love and commitment are tested, but it would take something massive to break their impenetrable bond.
The blissful way this story was told will live in my memories for a long time. I totally escaped into the Southern Promises series and was provided with yet another unforgettable reading experience. 5 stars.

The story Georgia On My Mind (Southern Promises Book 2) by K.G. Fletcher is a contemporary romance book. It is an amazing story that I loved reading. Once I started I didn’t want to put it down until I had finished the last page. I loved reading about the characters of Hartford Parker and Gia Bates. Gia is a smart, beautiful woman who doesn’t like to depend on others for help. From the business that she runs to her personal life, she keeps the truth hidden. I love how Gia’s passion for dancing is described in the story. You can feel just how much it is not just something that she does, it is a way that she gains peace in her life. Hartford is a man that is in transition. After leaving his last job because of an embarrassing situation he has sworn off women. That is until he meets Gia. From that moment he knows that there is something special about her. The attraction/connection between these two starts fast and is very electric. The deep emotions that they both feel for each other only grows the more they spend time together. Keeping secrets can hurt a relationship. What will happen when secrets are uncovered? Will their love for each other be enough to keep them together or will their relationship fall apart? Read this story to find out if Gia and Hartford get a HEA. I loved the flirting/bantering back and forth between this couple. There are steamy scenes that have the temperature in the room rising. I also loved that Hartford is such a gentleman. He is just the type of man I would love to meet and fall in love with. There are also other characters that are introduced and I loved reading about their interactions with Gia and Hartford. This is a well-written story with amazing characters you will not soon forget. It is the second book in a series and am looking forward to reading the next story.
This is the second book in the series. I enjoyed this book a little more then the first. This book can be read as a standalone but suggest reading the first book as well. What happens when a dancer and a playboy find themselves at the same place at the same time? I enjoyed how these characters had chemistry right from the beginning. They made the story flow with the twists and turns that I didn’t see coming. I enjoyed how they were able to pull me in to their story right from the beginning

This is book 2 of this series, and while it is about a different couple, id still read the first book since it’s an amazing book as well.
This book follows Hartford, or Hart, and Gia.
I really liked these two, both going through so much and still finding each other. Hart is trying to get his feet back after a horrible turn of events at his previous job. When he meets Gia, theyre both hiding their weakness from each other .
Gia works one job in the day and a different at night, and she’s hiding her living arrangements from everyone.
I cant go into them anymore as it will ruin their story, but I highly recommend this book! Cant wait for book 3!
After reading Georgia Clay I did not know what to expect for Georgia On My Mind. I loved it so much that this book had a lot to live up to. However, I think I actually love this more! The story was so captivating. It was a quick read but it was packed full of emotions.
‘We’re broken people, Gia. I’m broken. You’re broken. We’ve both had our fair share of terrible mistakes.’
The pain that Gia and Hart were feeling, I felt it too because the writing was so real. I did predict the ending of this story but it did not make me love this any less. Bring on the next book!
