About the books in this bundle:
The Grand Sophy: When Sophy sweeps in, life will never be the same for the Ombersleys. Sophy discovers that her aunt’s family is in desperate need of her talent for setting everything right: Cecelia is in love with a poet, Charles has tyrannical tendencies that are being aggravated by his grim fiancee, her uncle is of no use at all, and the younger children are in desperate need of some fun and freedom. By the time she’s done, Sophy has commandeered Charles’s horses, his household—and maybe even his heart.
Arabella: Arabella never would have pretended to be rich if that odious Robert Beaumaris hadn’t insulted her, practically to her face. Now she has to keep up the subterfuge, even when it gets her into more trouble than she bargained for. How is she ever going to tell Robert the truth? Or does he already know her shocking secret?
Frederica:The lovely, competent, and refreshingly straitforward Frederica is determined to secure a brilliant marriage for her beautiful sister and seeks out their distant cousin, the Marquis of Alverstoke, for his society connections. Frederica makes such a strong impression that to his own amazement, the Marquis agrees to help. Normally wary of his family, Lord Alverstoke does his best to keep his word while keeping his distance. But with his enterprising – and altogether entertaining – country cousins getting into one scrape after another, before he knows it the Marquis finds himself dangerously embroiled.
To Have the Honor (novella): Young Lord Allerton returns home from the Napoleonic Wars to find his father has left the family bankrupt. His mother’s solution: marry his wealthy cousin. But the Viscount would sooner have his beloved Harriet marry whom she chooses than be reduced to accepting a proposal from his financially compromised position.

Georgette Heyer is the Queen of Regency Romance, her books are witty, funny, wonderfully well written, and historically accurate. She has the best and sometimes funniest dialog in her books and her use of language is unparallelled in the romance genre. I re-read her books on a regular basis because she perfectly transports me to the delightful world she creates.
Georgette Heyer writes entertaining yet informative books, her characters are well rounded, easy to like and funny. The plots and twists of her novels keep you wanting for more with each book that you read.
Beautifully researched, historical fiction. Fun characters with real depth.
I loved these books as a teen. They are still entertaining now from an older perspective
I love most of Heyer’s books! I consider her Jane Austen Lite. Her Regency novels are fun and satisfying to read. I also like her post-WWII mysteries. Highly recommend!
Georgette Heyer is the master of regency romance! I read all of her books growing up and they don’t disappoint. Many of today’s authors rehash her plots and crib dialogue and colorful language from her work. These three works feature some strong female protagonists who can be relatable to a contemporary woman without completely outraging the actual ideas of what would have been possible back in the day. I hate “historical” fiction when there’s no way a person in that time period could have done as the character does. No worries about that here. The plots are classics, the characters well drawn and so engaging, and all turns out just the way you hope. Perfect!
I love Georgette Heyer – she is true to the Regency Period, her characters are real, captivating, and romantic, without being steamy.
Love her books and all the research that went into them
I read these books years ago and have bought them again to read. Love G Heyer!
Always entertaining. Every title a winner. As “mother” of contemporary Regencies, Heyer is well researched, keeps her stories clean, and knows what she’s writing about. Lots of fun!
I read all of these books years ago, but it was wonderful to read them all again. A delightful antidote to pandemic news.
I had forgotten just how much I enjoy Georgette Heyer. Each one of these books was a delight. The best of the lot is The Grand Sophy, I purchased this collection because this book was in it. Heyer’s books were originally my entry into Regency romances, and they are still the best of all of them. No sex other than an occasional kiss, but for the wit of the conversations and the clearly defined characters there is just no one to match Heyer. I highly recomment this collection!
I am enjoying these Gorgette Heyer books so much I have trouble putting them down. They’re not just regency romances, in fact it doesn’t center on romance but it is a thread running through the stories. These books are full of humor and have wonderful character development. My favorite is Grand Sophy but they are all well worth reading.
All of Georgette Heyer’s books are wonderful, and these are three of her best. I love the heroines of these three, especially the Grand Sophy. If you enjoy the Regency romance genre, there is none better.
I love all of Georgette Heyer’s Regency romances but these three are my absolute favorites. I can’t count the number of times I’ve read them all. Highly recommended for escapism, pure enjoyment, and a lovely way to spend your time.
Very entertaining stories. Also bought the audio books and enjoyed listening to them.
All Georgette Heyer books are good and these three are some of the best. All three heroines are unique so this is a nice bundle to get to know Georgette or re-visit some favs.
Georgette Heyer never ceases to delight me. She was one of the first Regency writers I devoured and I love going back to re-read.
I really enjoyed reading these books.
Her descriptions of period dress and manners is always a delight
