James is my favorite Malory Elder. He lives by his own rules and doesn’t care what anyone thinks. He’s smart, outspoken and so loveable. He’s very protective of those he loves.
Georgina decided to go home after getting heartbroken. She thinks she’s doing a great job with her disguised. However, James knows and decides to play along.
I absolutely …
This is the book that made me fall in love with Linsey’s Mallory series. James is a larger-than-life hero, and I love that George was written as another wilting-flower.
I loved this book when I read it many years ago. I read it either late 80’s or early 90’s. It’s what’s referred to as old school and may not be to everyone’s taste today. It’s part of the Malory series. Give it a try.
Gentle Rogue is the third book in the Malory-Anderson Family series and wow this book was just awesome. I was just transfixed by this incredible story and I was just on the edge of my seat wondering what would happen next. It was just so easy to get lost in and I just can’t get enough of these amazing characters. I can’t wait to read the next book …
James is headed off to sea again and comes across Georgie, the gal who made such an impression just a few weeks earlier. Their adventure begins. The characters are interesting strangely enduring.
This is a series that even after to many years to think about I come back to. This time via Audible and the narration of Laural Merlington who did a …
Love her books!
My first. My favorite. Wish it had the Fabio cover.
This was the first historical romance I ever read (at the age of 15) and I’ve been hooked ever since.
My love of romance came from reading such amazing authors as Kathleen E Woodiwiss and Johanna Lindsey, but the book that truly made me fall in love with this genre was GENTLE ROGUE by Johanna Lindsey. James is the perfect hero and Georgie, the heroine ahead of her time. If my books bring half the joy to readers that this one has brought me in my …
Love, love, loved this book. As soon as it was over I wanted to re-read it again. The two main characters are great. I fell in love with James and George. Highly recommend this book.
Gentle Rogue was one of the 1st books I read by Johanna Lindsey. I fell in love with James Malory instantly; a dashing, brawny, daring, amusing hero, to this day I enjoy seeing him pop up in other Malory novels. Georgina makes for the best heroine. She’s sassy, spirited, brave and the type of girl you’d want for your best friend. Needless to say, …
I’ve read a crap ton of romance in my life, and the Mallory series is one of my all-time faves. I reread this one and Tender Rebel sometimes in the same way I used to comfort myself with a security blanket as a toddler. It’s regency so not for everyone, but it’s truly delicious. This whole series is.
I simply LOVE THIS BOOK! This is what made the Mallory/Anderson saga so GREAT! Love James & George’s love story!
