Sabrina is a witness to an attack in this one, could things be changing in Treasure Cove?
Gelato for breakfast?
Jake Williamson and has reneged on his promise and is once more buying up mom-and-pop businesses in town and destroying the lives of many town folks. He ignores Sabrina’s warnings that he is driving people to desperate actions. That is only one of the many things causing turmoil in her life. Kelly is pushing her to get an aura cleansing and a protection ring from the crystal shop but it’s hard to believe they are effective when someone is bludgeoned to death in that same shop. She and David will just have to solve the case without psychic help.
This is another fun cozy mystery. I always enjoy the interactions between Sabrina, her mom, and her grandmother. The suspects never cooperate but Sabrina and David managed to solve the case assisted by ice cream and plenty of good food.
Sabrina found herself in the middle of another murder. I love how well she and David complement each other in their personal lives and during investigations. I had not figured out who the killer until the very end. This story also had a wonderful surprise at the end as well. I enjoyed this audiobook, and Lisa Beacom, once again, did a wonderful job with the voices and kept the action alive.
I received a copy of this audiobook as a gift, and this is my unsolicited review.
GELATO WITH A SIDE OF MURDER is the eighth book in the Daley Buzz Cozy Mysteries series. Each can stand on its own, but I recommend reading them all and in the order of release.
An attempted murder… A murder… Sabrina’s friends are being attacked and she is being stressed, but she is not one to hide and wait. Instead, she follows the clues and questions everyone around her to uncover the most important facts. David may be the detective, but he has learned to trust Sabrina’s instincts and rely on her intuition.
At just under three hours, this is a simple, quick, cozy mystery suitable for the whole family.
Narration: Lisa Beacom is the voice of Sabrina Daley and she is doing a beautiful job of maintaining that voice. Listening to her has become a time of visiting a friend.
Note: While I received this book as a gifted audiobook copy, my opinions are my own and are given freely.

This was a good short story. Sabrina Daley trys to solve who is a murderer in her hometown of Treasure Cove. The dialog still has too many of “He Said”, “She Said” and “That Said”.
Can Sabrina solve another murder in Treasure Cove? An interesting chase with a surprising end. The audiobook is great

Sabrina and David are going for a special date when they spot and interfere with attempted murder of the town’s worst citizen. Not forty eight hours later, the owner of the local new age shop is murdered and the interviews begin. From the spacey to the angry, the suspects all expect to be taken at their word without any sort of alibi. That could seem ridiculous unless you are aware that this kind of suspect behavior is altogether too predictable.
Great recurring characters, good background info, and Gelato for breakfast make this a really good read!
I got the audio and Lisa Beacom certainly has a way with some of the characters!
Sabrina and David have their hands full this time. A attempted murder, a murder and a shocking ending that left me saying FINALLY! A good read that finally had a happy ending.
