No one expects lace in a laundry room to change their life.At twenty-one, Flores Williams has a few things his (non-existent) friends don’t: a police record, abusive parents, and a colorful hobby. But the worst thing about being independent? Breaking an expensive washing machine right before your ballet audition. Flores needs clothes, he needs a job, he needs a miracle. As long as that miracle … miracle.
As long as that miracle isn’t Gareth Brown.
Ten years ago, Gareth lost his husband to a car accident. These days, he hangs around with his firefighting team, trying to fill the void in his heart. When his friend makes a request, Gareth agrees: Watch Tim Williams’ son. Flores is a criminal, and Gareth thinks he can stop that boy from going back into jail.
But Gareth isn’t prepared for Flores to call him Sir. Add to that the fact that Flores has never been kissed. And that Gareth increasingly wants Flores to be his boy. Gareth shouldn’t—he’s far older. He’s promised Tim that he wouldn’t get involved with Flores.
As fate drags them into a whirlpool of lace, sweet punishments, and an accidental pregnancy, will the growing fire between Flores and Gareth draw them closer, or will the demons from their pasts burn them to the ground?
Gareth’s Boy is a 82,000-word standalone non-shifter age-difference MPreg romance, featuring a protective firefighter, hurt/comfort, and a broken soul who learns to smile again. HEA guaranteed!
Warning: This book contains so much heat, it’ll fog up your windows. Try to stay cool!!

A beautifully artistic boy & a gruff older Sir. Forbidden?
Welcome back to the Meadowfall Firefighters series. I really love these books. The characters come alive, drawing you in to their stories. This book has a beautiful boy whose parents have stifled his artistic talents. There are very alpha firefighters, sassy omegas, and a cute little boy obsessed with snakes. Oh, and honey.
Finally on his own, Flores is trying to spread his artistic wings. His murals, while illegal, are breathtaking. His paintings are, too. And his ballet is just plain beautiful. If only someone could see who he is. Gareth is watching Flores, making sure he doesn’t get into trouble. He owes Flores’s farther. But one day he really looks at him. What he sees confuses him. All he wants to do is protect this young man, make him his boy, claim him. But he’s just a few years older than Gareth’s son. So hands off, right?
Flores is starved for basic human touch. For any attention. The attraction bertween him & Gareth is intense. When an expected heat throws them together, everything changes. But Flores’s father has plans for his son, that don’t include what Flores wants or needs. Can Gareth step in before it’s too late?
With the help of good friends, HEA is assured. Come. Laugh with them. Share the joy of dancing in the rain with a little boy. Shares their hopes, fears, love & anger. You will love this book!
This book contains adult themes and language, mm sex and is intended for mature readers only.
My goodness I truly loved getting to read about Gareth and Flores, this book was everything I truly hoped it would be. The storyline just pulled me in, and the characters had great depth.
A new level of heat in this book, in this series! WHOA!!
Warning: there is psychological and physical abuse mentioned in this story if you are sensitive to that. Not explicit.
I’ve read almost all of the books which have taken place in Meadowfall’s omegaverse, both regular and firefighter books and this is the first with D/s involved. Let me tell you, this brings with it a new level of hotness. It is also nice to go back and see characters we met from previous books. Like meeting old acquaintances at the mall and catching up.
Flores Williams is a 21yo mess up or that is what we are led to believe. He comes from a prominent wealthy family but doesn’t want any of their money b/c he feels it is gained dishonestly. He has been abused and neglected by his parents. They now have him watched to keep him out of trouble before his father’s big election to Mayor.
His current “boy-sitter” is Gareth Brown, 41yo, firefighter with a body that should be on a calendar 😉 When he realizes he’s been betrayed by Flores’ parents about the boy’s past deeds, he has a change of heart. And WOW…does he ever! Gareth is a widower, having lost is former husband. Gareth finds out things about himself he didn’t know until Flores comes into his life.
Loved this book. In my mind the best of this whole series from Meadowfall so far. Lots of angst, humor, steamy romance, and an HEA. I volunteered to review an ARC of this book and it comes highly recommended if you like steamy Dom/sub romance.
Gareth’s Boy, book two of Anna Wineheart’s Meadowfall Firefighters series, is a wonderful mpreg read.
This is a story that starts with lace and gets ever hotter. Yum!
Gareth and Flores are two men who both know loss. One lost his husband, one his mentor, and both have been greatly affected by these losses. Some of the moments that focus on these losses are tear-jerking and tough to read.
Flores is a broken man, with parents who’ve never even shown him love. Gareth is tasked with watching over Flores, leading to Flores not trusting him at all. The complex family issues are well done and are extremely emotional. Both men are affected and have decisions to make.
The writing is good, with two well developed complex characters and a whole lot of tenderness and emotion. I was hooked from the start, but it’s a long book with a slow pace at times.
Their story includes lace as well as dresses. It includes an age difference, which adds a lot to the tale. And, it includes a marker that leads to a super steamy scene. Damn, Gareth and Flores are super hot together. Expect intense chemistry and some smoking firsts, and some hot rimming.
One of my favorite lines is “…Gareth wanted to see what Flores would look like when he finally remembered to smile.”
My absolute favorite however is the snake moments. I couldn’t stop laughing. Caleb is an adorable little kid who is truly hysterical, adding tremendous amounts of love and humor to this book.
Gareth’s Boy is a great mpreg read. This Anna Wineheart book is a wonderful story of getting a second chance at love. It’s a beautiful story of finding someone who believes in you and encourages you in life.
This book was sexy, but also very emotional and character driven. I loved poor misunderstood Flores right away. It took a bit longer, but pretty soon I loved Gareth, too. These men had such great chemistry, and I enjoyed their story of healing together. My heart broke for Flores’ and the way his parents made him feel unimportant and useless. I wanted to shake his mother and punch his father. I was also sad for Gareth and the way he missed his late husband. They both fought their feelings, but every romance reader knows that doesn’t work! in the midst of sexiness and angst, there were moments that made me smile. This was another great story from an author who never disappoints.
I thought that this book dragged a bit between 20% and 50%. There wasn’t anything specific that I can say that I didn’t like, it just felt like I kept reading forever, but when I’d cheek my progress, it ended up not being that much. But suddenly, after about half way through, the book just flew by, but not rushed.
There was one thing that, when I read it, I actually exclaimed WTF?! aloud, because it was so out of left field. I didn’t recall a single instance of any omega wearing a full on wedding dress at any point in the previous books. If I remember right, there was something about a character randomly wearing a skirt, once, but why would Tim pay for something like that? And, while I can understand that omegas could be feminized, in this world, if there’s going to be a wedding dress, why don’t some omegas embrace it in their everyday life? Or, why didn’t Tim push a feminized ideal into Flores this entire time?
It took me a while to not feel animosity against Gareth in this book. He was a bit naive to not see how absolutely horrible Tim was as a father, and I wasn’t thrilled with his compromise after confronting Tim – it felt like he was willingly choosing to become complicit, which left a bad taste in my mouth. What eventually conceived me that Gareth was a good guy, was his consistent encouragement and support of Flores. I loved that a line early in the book had Flores thinking that loving something was to set them free – and Gareth showed that he was willing to give Flores his wings over and over again – even to stupidly let Flores leave him. But I think that was exactly what Flores needed to understand that Gareth truly valued him.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
Oh my tissues needed for this reas! The emotion just whoa! Flores melted my heart and Gareth the way he realises he has been fed wrong info about Flores and changes his ideas! I absolutely adored this story and love this whole series
Gareth’s Boy by Anna Wineheart is a sweet age gap love story. Gareth lost his omega years ago and isnt looking for another, but the twenty-one year old sonof his “friend” he was asked to watch over proves to be too tempting when he calls him Sir. This story had me hooked and rooting for Gareth and Flores, and had me wanting to see Flores’ parents get smacked or punched, something justly fitting for such ugly souls.i laughed, I felt heart broken, I felt anxious, I swooned… I loved every moment of Gareth and Flores’ journey.
So many emotional tears, laughs, anger, frustration, and pure white heat!! OMG, those kids and the snakes again! Lol. And the honey!!! Lmao! Those vile empty vessels called Flores’ parents had me so appalled and incensed on his behalf ! I can’t!!! I wish the guys could have communicated better, then I wouldn’t have to be yelling at my kindle so much! What a dramatic twist moment in the story! I thought I had palpitations at wedding #1. Wedding #2- swoon worthy and the ring! Omg! Yes! Phenomenal!! I’m moving to Meadowfalls immediately!!! Love that world and those wonderful guys!
