Can Hillary get poor strong willed, yet sweet old Rose out of the line of (literal) fire, or will she and everyone’s lives and businesses go up in flames?

But not because it’s Summer time. There’s been a fire at a popular bookstore, and Genevieve Hardcore, the store’s owner and a beloved local denizen with more than a few foes, was caught in the … Hardcore, the store’s owner and a beloved local denizen with more than a few foes, was caught in the fiery blaze….
Looks like another hot case for amateur super sleuth, Hillary Sheridan-if Rosemary Harbor police chief Preston Holden doesn’t cool her tracks, first.
But Hillary has more than a good enough reason to stick her irons in the fire: her building’s landlord (and Hillary’s good friend), Rose Humbert, has just become Suspect #1 in the case for many reasons, including a very dubious history she has, one that puts her in hot water now.

More crime strikes this small town where everyone knows everyone’s business but Hillary is on the case when a close friend is implicated. I love the close, loving and supportive relationship between Hillary and her daughter, Annabelle, and their relationship with their good friend and employee, Rose. I also adore Hillary’s spunkiness and determination. I really enjoyed learning about Rosemary Harbor’s past, too. I highly recommend this series as well as the author’s many others.
Hillary and her daughter are in their shop, Something Special, listening to their friend and helper, Rose, complain about her arch rival, Trudy. Trudy wants to buy the bookstore but Rose is against it and is hoping to try also. Hillary takes Rose to breakfast and there they meet up with Violet who is having an issue with Genevieve. To get away from it she sees the police chief, Preston come in and goes to him to ask him to put a little bit of sane into the day. As they are talking he receives a call and leaves. She follows and to her chagrin sees the bookstore on fire. After the fire is put out, the body of Genevieve is found, alive but unconscious. As Hillary prepares to return to her shop she sees something and when she picks it up she sees a matchbook. Now she is curious and she once again finds herself involved in police business.
A lovely little mystery that is alluring and sweet.
Fantastic story and read!!

Great New Cozy Mystery!
Hilary breaks her promise to stay out of the crime solving sleuthing when Rose is accused of arson and attempted murder. Interesting combination of new and returning characters with plenty of suspenseful drama, nice twists and great HEA. Enjoy!
I received an advance copy and am happy to leave my honest review.
Gardener’s Greenhouse

A wonderful addition to the series. Hillary needs to accept her feelings for Preston. I really didn’t like her in this book. She came across as pushy and demanding instead of helpful. I felt like she was taking things personally, but in the end, it all worked out.

Third in the series, this book was just as awesome as the first two. This author does a wonderful job on a cozy mystery. Awesome written with fabulous characters, this mystery keeps you guessing to the end.

“Gardener’s Greenhouse” earns 5/5 Arson Antics…Fun!
Engaging Fun! Wendy Meadows uses a traditional cozy formula with a third-person narrative to present a fun mystery novella. Although it’s not my favorite perspective, it is well-written with an engaging, well-paced story, vivid descriptions, wonderful characters, and dialogue that best illustrates personality and tone. Hillary Sheridan promised boyfriend/police chief she’d not get involved in future investigations, but that goes out the window when her friend Rose is the prime suspect in an arson that injures her nemesis. Providing ample some twist and turns, I was pleasantly surprised at the final who and why. Life is not investigation 24/7, so I enjoyed the Side stories about the characters, ins and outs of a small town gossip mill, dynamic between Hillary and her daughter Annabelle, and the on/off/on relationship between Hillary and Preston. This third book is where I started, and I’m eager to go back and read the other two…fun!
Good read. Entertaining story and characters. Good dialog between characters. Interesting story. Liked the story flow. Good who-dun-it! Keeps you guessing. Would recommend.

Another great book by a fantastic author! I can’t believe I read it in about 2 hours…it was that good! I could not put it down. Great characters, a funny bird, and while someone was injured, no murder! Although I did want to kick Preston in just butt for the way he treated Hillary. Men!

Hillary Sheridan and her daughter Annabelle along with their friend Rose run a gift basket shop in the small town of Rosemary Harbour. They have a thriving business and things seem like they are going well until a fire in a neighbouring bookshop and all signs point to Rose. Can Hillary find the true arsonist.
I enjoyed this cozy mystery because of the great characters, small town atmosphere and how the mystery was solved. The storyline flows smoothly and allows the characters to reveal aspects of their past and personalities. The number of suspects is fuelled by the gossip mill that sometimes occurs in small towns. It is an easy read and enjoyable with a feel good vibe. So if you are looking for a cute easy going cozy mystery then give this one a chance.

A great cozy mystery read set in Rosemary Harbor. A good story line, fun characters, drama, suspense and some emotion. The author does a great job of grabbing your attention from the start. Since I haven’t read the previous books in the series, they are now on my reading list.

I am really enjoying this series. In this one, Rose is competing with another lady in town to buy the local book shop. In the middle of this, the bookstore is burned down in a manner of something Rose did in the past leading the police to believe she did it again.

Watch out for a determined Hillary. In this book, we find Hillary willing to do what is necessary to clear her dear friend’s name. This book was written very well and created vivid scenes. I wish that the relationship between Preston and Hillary would develop into something much more, but I guess that I would have to keep reading to find out.

Rose is very upset about Trudy Hound wanting to buy the bookstore, End of the Road Books. Rose, if she buys it will own every store on the street. When Rose attempts to take Rose’s mind off of it with buying her breakfast, Violet Greenwood comes in and fans the flames of Rose’s discontent. They leave together after taking some matches from Antonio’s. Hillary never knew Rose smoked, but it seems this has pushed her into smoking again. Next thing they hear are sirens, and the bookstore is on fire! Preston takes Rose in for questioning. Seems Rose has a history of arson! Who knew? But Hillary knows Rose didn’t do this and is going to go back on her promise to stay out of investigations. Can she prove Rose is innocent? This one is going to be hard, if not impossible to prove. Hillary gets a clue in the last place she ever expected, but will it be enough? I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book from Booksprout.
Hillary has a dilemma, she promised Preston she wouldn’t get involved in any more crimes and she wasn’t going to but ….. this one is too close to home and she needs to help. I think this has been the best book to date as there was lots of humming and haring on my part as to who it was who started the fire and to be honest I was worried it was Rose! There are some good twists and surprises as well as being great to see Hillary really coming into her own and deciding what she needs to do and not always doing what others want. I am worried on what will happen to her and Preston’s budding relationship after this though as he just can’t seem to get past that Hillary is just good at solving things and isn’t being a busybody!!!

I knew as soon as I started reading that one of the feuding ladies would find themselves in trouble. The past does haunt one of the characters, but the book shows just how clever Ms. Hillary is. Plus there is someone at the end who is in a bit of hot water great cliffhanger! Love who the villain turns out to be It was a fun read and I so recommend it.
Hillary can’t shake the bad vibes she is getting from Rose’s uncharacteristic mood swing. The usually sweet grandma-like personality of Rose has turned into a spitfire with an ax to grind. When Rose has her sights on purchasing the bookstore across the way, she soon finds her nemesis has the same plans. Rose gets a bit verbal about her unhappiness about the situation, so when the bookstore goes up in a fiery blaze and the current owner injured, all eyes are on Rose as the arsonist.
It is up to Hillary to try and save her good friend from being cast as the number one suspect by the police and the townsfolk. As she uncovers things from the past, she soon discovers that she might not know Rose as well as she thought. Will her judgment get clouded? Or will she be able to look past secrets from long ago and clear Rose’s good name?
This is the third book in the Rosemary Harbor mystery series. It can be read as a stand-alone, but with the wonderful cast and storytelling by the author, I would highly suggest catching up on this fantastic series.

Arson dredges up some of the town’s former gossip scandals that implicate Hillary’s friend, Rose. Only Hillary’s fresh perspective may be Rose’s only hope. Gardener’s Greenhouse is the third novel in the Rosemary Harbor Mystery Series. The characters have become familiar, and I can’t wait to read the next one.
