When the stakes are this high, it’s game on. . . . “Kelly Jamieson is an auto-buy for me.”—New York Times bestselling author Carly Phillips Cam Brickley and his pro hockey teammates bet on everything: who can win five faceoffs in a row, who can do forty pushups in less than a minute, who can eat a ghost pepper without puking. But when his buddies bet him he can’t date the same woman—like, say, … date the same woman—like, say, the hot blonde over at the bar—for two months and not fall in love, he’ll take that bet all day. Then he’ll laugh all the way to the hockey arena, where they’ll be washing his jock straps for the rest of the season, because Cam’s never giving up his bachelor lifestyle.
Olivia Lockwood, heiress to the Lockwood Industries fortune, is used to people using her for her money and family connections. When Cam Brickley hits on her in a club, Olivia’s first instinct is to brush him off. But he couldn’t be using her for her money, since he has more than enough of his own. Cam’s gorgeous and built, and it would be no hardship to go out with him . . . besides, he’d be the perfect spokesperson for the children’s charity she works with. Maybe it’s time for her to start using people.
Cam and Olivia are both in it for something. What they don’t know yet is that they’re playing for keeps.

Scorching hot and so much fun!
THE END…. but such a wonderful ending to this series. Game On is just the perfect story to bring it all together. Most of the guys are ready to retire, or move on to other teams, but they need to win the Cup first! Brick and Olivia are just so perfect. The et that turns both of their worlds upside down! The first date to beat all others! This book has all the best wrapped into one, and the EPILOUGE.. Fan-freaking-Tastic!!!
10 hockey stars for sure!!
Olivia’s struggling, youth non-profit organization needs a famous figure to help draw attention and much needed funds. Cam, local hockey star and ladies man, can’t refuse a bet with his teammates – date 1 girl for 2 months without falling in love. How lucky for Olivia, that she just so happened to be in the right place at the right time. Being in a 30yr relationship, myself, that started with a similar bet, I was intrigued by the premise. These characters were fun to read. Olivia’s snobbish family provided the angst, while Cam almost seems too good to be true. He’s funny, an unabashed flirt, yet sensitive to others needs and feelings. When it comes to his own feelings, he’s a little slow on the uptake. He insisted he won the bet when his 2 months with Olivia were up. Thankfully, with some wise parental advice he realizes his true feelings for Olivia, leading to the expected happy ever after.
This was my first time reading a book by Kelly Jamieson and I must say I loved it! I’m a sucker for hockey romances and saw the blurb on this one and thought it might be fun and I was right.
Cam Brickley is a hockey player. He is known as a playboy and loves to make bets with his friends about anything. When his fellow hockey friends bet him that he couldn’t date the same person for 2 months in a row and not fall in love with her, he easily takes that bet. The hot blonde sitting at the bar is just the person that his friends pick.
Olivia Lockwood, aka hot blonde, comes from a family of lots of money. Too bad she wants to make it on her own and not work for the family business. Olivia started a charity that helps underprivileged children keep active because of her problems in her youth. When Cam Brickley hits on her at a bar instead of blowing him off she plays along. He wouldn’t be interested in her because of her money and family connections and he may be just the perfect choice to be a spokesperson for her charity.
What these two didn’t realize is that they were both using each other to get something they each wanted. Funny how their original plans got blown out of the water because both of them ended up wanting more from their arrangement than they first intended. I just adored these two. Olivia doesn’t want to be the rich princess and wants to do something good in her life. Cam never wanted a real relationship because of things from his past but Olivia quickly changes those thoughts. Together these two were fun, flirty and down right sexy. I loved every part of this story and would highly recommend it.
Game On is a great ending to one of my favorite hockey romance series!!!
Cam and Olivia are great together! Both aren’t looking for relationships. Cam has always been busy with hockey, and he has no intention of giving up the single life, no matter how many of his friends have settled down. Olivia isn’t interested in a relationship because she has been burned too many times in the past with men using her for her family’s money and influence. One night in a bar is going to change everything they thought about love.
Cam is sexy and really has a great sense of humor. He is one of the most charming characters I have come across. I couldn’t help but love him. He is so supportive of Olivia. She has issues because of his family, and Cam really helps her with those.
Olivia appears to have a charmed life. She is smart, wealthy, and beautiful. She is also the perfect example that wealth doesn’t always bring you happiness. Her family is very critical of her and always has been. Because of that, she has insecurities that hold her back from living a full life. Thankfully, Cam helps her to believe in herself, and she really flourishes. Both she and Cam grow tremendously throughout the book.
The chemistry between them is intense, even from the beginning. There are also some very sweet moments too. Their banter is flirty. I like the way that Jamieson developed their relationship. It was steamy, yet these two really liked each other and liked each other’s company.
Jamieson definitely knows how to combine romance, spice, sweetness, and the game of hockey into a great little series. My only regret was that I had to tell some of my favorite characters good-bye. If you are a hockey romance fan, you can’t go wrong with this one!!!
I really loved Olivia and Cam’s story. I was instantly drawn to them and loved how their relationship was built on a foundation of them getting to know each other. Yes, there was instant chemistry and lust, but they didn’t act on it immediately. Their first date was perfect – well, aside from the aftereffects of the food – talk about great first impressions!
I’m sad to say I have only read one other book from this series, but that is soon to change as I am going to go back and get the others I do not have. I thoroughly enjoyed Kelly Jamieson’s writing style, her descriptions, her character development. Her love and knowledge of hockey is evident in her writing. I could clearly see and feel each and every scene whether it be on the ice, in the bar, in the bedroom… Speaking of the bedroom, holy hotness!
I highly recommend this book and I for one am looking forward to going back and reading all the others in this series and hope you do as well.
Thank you to the publisher, the author, and Netgalley for an advance reader copy. These are my honest and unbiased opinions.
Olivia Lockwood is smart, funny and dedicated to her cause. She is used to people using her to get what they want as she is an heiress. Cam Brickley is major hockey player on the Aces hockey team. You would think he is full of himself but that is not who he is. He is all about his family, friends and making sure his team makes the playoffs.Cam is a softy when it comes to kids. From the moment they meet, sparks fly. Teammates are giving him grief about dating and her friends are pushing her to date. Thanks for taking us to spots in Chicago that I’m sure people have never heard of. Olivia made me want to tour Chicago with new eyes. Parts of this book will have you laughing and smiling. Oh watching these two fall in love was all worth it.
ARC for honest review with no compensation received from NetGalley 4.5 stars
This is my first book from author, Kelly Jamieson while its the last book in the series it is also a standalone. Enjoyed meeting the people in the other books and will be purchasing..
Cam Brinkley an Aces pro hockey player, playboy, bachelor and his teammates are always making bets about anything. So while out at their favorite bar they bet Cam he can’t date the same woman for two months straight and not fall in love! They even pick out a beautiful, blonde hair, stacked woman at the bar…all Cam has to do is get her to go out with him. The bet is the loser has to due the others jocks straps for the rest of the season. Cam thinks it’s a piece of cake and he will win…
Olivia Lockwood, beautiful, sexy and heiress to the Lockwood Industries fortune but is to tired of being used for her connections and money. When Cam approaches her at the bar her first instinct is to turn him down but once she realizes who he is he just might be the spokesperson she needs for her children’s charity..
Sparks fly, laughter, compassion are just a few things going on but are they using each other for their own benefit or will being together show them that love can happens when it’s least expected ..
Cam & Oliva I loved this series. I fell for this couple a little more with each chapter. Cam is a player on and off the Ice and he takes a crazy bet on a gal that he thinks is so out of his league, Olivia she is strong, smart and her own woman . She has be burned in the past by men that where interested in her but found her family and their business much more appealing. Their relationship starts out on false pretenses but soon becomes so much fun and real! I couldn’t help but root for this couple and their fabulous cast of characters ! So sad to see this series end!!
~~Michele McMullen ~~
Olivia Lockwood has put her heart and soul into the charity she founded. She is a bit leary of any new relationships and quite guarded when it comes to her family ties.
Cam “Brick” Brickley doesn’t do relationships. After accepting a bet from his teammates, he’s found himself in denial of his feelings for the beauty he can’t stop thinking about.
This is the last in the Chicago Aces series and I’m saddened to see it end. I loved the characters and how they were able to build a relationship with little effort. Her insecurities made her realistic and his cocky attitude was somewhat endearing.
I loved this book and I will definitely be downloading the rest of the series as well as checking out her other works.

Game On by Kelly Jamieson is book 8 and the final book in the Aces Hockey series. It is hard to say goodbye but, this is a great ending for this team of players. Having been apart of the team since the beginning, I have enjoyed each of these books and their individual stories.
Cam and Olivia’s turn is just as wonderful as the the first player to fall, Marc with Lovey. By reading all the books in this series, I could see the author’s growth. I found this story to be more. More depth, more tension, more chemistry, more drama.
Cam along with his teammates bet on anything they can. When the stakes are raised and the bet that Cam can’t date the same women for two months without falling in love, the bet’s accepted and it’s Game on!!!
Olivia is tired of being used for what her family has. Meeting Cam in a bar one night, what could happen? He doesn’t want her for her money, he has his own. Maybe she can use him to help her be the spokesperson for her Children’s Charity…Game on!!!
Two people with their own reasons to play the game. What could go wrong?
This story is so well written and has such a quick pace that you won’t put the story down until it’s over. Don’t forget there is also visits from some of the other Ace’s Hockey team throughout this story.
Unfortunately ‘Game On’ is the last book of Aces Hockey Series, nonetheless it was a wonderful ending to an amazing series. Cam Brickley, aka Brick, is charming, handsome and extremely cocky. He and his teammates can bet on anything and everything. When his teammates bet him that he won’t be able to date with same woman without falling in love, he jumps on it since he doesn’t do love. The only challenging part of this bet for Cam is to convince the hot blonde to date with him for two months. Olivia Lockwood is pretty, smart, independent and determined. Her family is really rich and thanks to her trust fund, instead of working for her family, she runs a nonprofit charity called ‘Move on Chicago’. When Cam starts hitting on her in the bar, her first reaction is to run. But then her friends points that he is the perfect candidate to become the spokesperson of the ‘Move on Chicago’, so she decides she will give Cam a chance for a date. Their attraction for each other is sizzling hot and their banter is hilarious. I still cannot believe after the first and second date how they both wanted to keep dating each other. I enjoyed seeing the ‘real’ Cam, who is sweet and kind. As for Olivia, I love how strong her personality was. Even though, she has insecurities and scars, she never lets these to control her and/or her life. When she knows, what she wants she goes for it. Are you curious about who won the bet and who ended up washing dirty jock straps for the rest of the year? Then, I recommend you to grab your copy and start reading it 🙂
‘Game On’ is a funny, sweet, lighthearted, sexy story that you won’t be able to put it down until you are done with it. This book can be easily read as a standalone. I am really sad to let go of the Aces Hockey series but also excited that Kelly Jamieson will have a new hockey series: Wynn Hockey.
Would I recommend this book: Yes.
Would I re-read this book: Yes.
Would I read future books by this author: Yes.
Well, wow! That was fun. So yes, this is a sports romance. It is not the first book in the series, yet it was still approachable as a standalone – I may have missed the significance of certain names and events, but oh well, I was still able to enjoy the book. This story starts as a bet, cocky hot male and an attractive rich female, but it is more than just a bet. At times, the book seemed long, but then I realized this was no insta-love. This was not a second chance romance. These were two strangers that needed to connect. And, while things moved fast, it wasn’t unrealistic – the romance that is.
Cam and Olivia are likable characters. Cam plays well his role, yet shows a softer side. Olivia has multiple insecurities, yet she is strong. I loved their interactions and I was laughing with them. There was also plenty of steam…I want Olivia’s lingerie collection. 😉 Overall, highly enjoyable.
Brick and Olivia both need something from each other. She needs him to be a spokesperson for her charity and he needs her to win a bet. What happens though if they start falling for each other for real though? Not just for Brick to win his bet? What if one falls and the other doesn’t?
Heart pounding, laugh out loud funny, sighing was involved and a few tears, the chemistry between these two was super hot!
What a fun read! It all starts with a bet, Cam”s teammates throw up the challenge that he couldn’t date a woman for two months without falling in love–easy for Cam the commitment phobia, a few dates and he moves on how hard could two months be, right? Olivia is blowing off steam with her coworker friends when this drop dead gorgeous guy comes up flirting with her, yep, her! What stroke of luck is it that he also happens to be Chicago hockey team, especially when she needs a celebrity to endorse her charity? When they have fun despite the fate of their first date, Cam figures the two months was going to be fun but Olivia just came off a bad relationship and didn’t want to jump into a serious relationship–but two months of fun times together, nothing serious, right-after all it’s about winning a bet. Fun banter, great characters and steaminess make this a great read!
I’m a big fan of sportsromances and ones involving hockey in particular, so my expectations are high when I read something by a new to me author! From the start, Game on sucked me right in. The book starts off with Cam agreeing to a bet. First that he can’t get the beautiful woman he sees to go out with him and on top of that, after dating her for two months that he won’t fall in love.
Cam may seem like a typical arrogant jock, but not that far into the book it’s clear that there’s more to him that meets the eye. He may have his choice of women and not stick to one after sleeping with them a few times, but he is a true gentleman. The woman doesn’t pay for dates, he even seems protective. Cam knows he needs to work for what he’s got and doesn’t take it for granted.
Olivia is over men! After her she caught her now ex-fiance cheating on her, she was done. She’s decided to concentrate on her non-profit organization, despite her family not agreeing with that at all. I liked Olivia. Even though she comes from money, that’s not something she took lightly. Her starting her own non-profit instead of working for the family business didn’t go easily.
Olivia has never felt completely accepted and she feels like she’s always competing with her siblings. So when Cam, a famous hockey player, asks her out, she sees the perfect opportunity to help out her non-profit. No more, no less.
Game On is a sexy, funny and feelgood romance. I haven’t read the first seven books, but the way the players are around each other, it makes me want to dive in. Kelly Jamieson made me love Cam and Olivia from the start. On top of that, she made them feel real. I mean, in what book do the characters have a great first date to end up puking, because of food poisoning? While I felt bad for them, it was hilarious.
Cam and Olivia fit together perfectly and I love their chemistry. Even though they both are in it to gain something, it’s clear that they’re starting to feel more than they bargained for. I loved that the romance was kind of slow burn though. They didn’t jump into bed together and were all of a sudden in love. They actually went on dates (that didn’t always go well) and met each other’s friends and family.
The romance, humor, sexy times and other aspects of their lives was in perfect balance in this book. I loved reading about what they were both doing when the other was off working. I’m also a big fan that this author actually had them be honest to the other that they were using each other. In most romances it comes out at the worst possible moment and they end up upset. That wasn’t the case in Game On and I really appreciated.
If you’re looking for a fun sports romance filled with humor, romance, some feel good moments and characters you can relate to (even if they’re famous hockey players), Game on is the book for you! I will definitely be checking out the rest of this series!
The final book in the Aces Hockey series, this can be read as a standalone, but as always, the reader will get more out of it if they’ve read the previous books (I myself, haven’t read a couple of books in the series yet – TBR problems are real – but it doesn’t detract from the story). If you like hockey romance, I highly recommend checking out this series – Ms. Jamieson is one of the best hockey romance authors I’ve had the pleasure to have read.
I really like the characters of both Cam and Olivia. Their relationship starts out under less-than-completely-honest pretenses on both sides, but quickly develops into something more. Olivia is an incredibly relatable character in that her history has caused her to retain some insecurities about herself – both about her appearance and her “worthiness” of being wanted for herself. Cam is described as having a reputation as being a bit of a player, but isn’t depicted as being a jerk about it (later in the story, you come to find out why he’s gun-shy about relationships).
Overall, this was a great ending to the series and I hope we’ll continue to see some of these characters pop up in future books by Ms. Jamieson. I look forward to reading her future works.

This is my only second book by Kelly and she is fast becoming a must read author for me. I am loving the guys of Aces Hockey and can’t wait for more. I really want to go back and read the first books in the series and get their stories as well. I am falling more and more in love with these guys. Kelly did a great job delivering a book that kept me sucked in and wanting to see how it was all going to play out.
Two people who not looking for love end up spending more and more time together for two different reasons. He has a wager going that he won’t fall in love after two months and she is looking for someone to be a spokesman for her non-profit organization. The more and more time they spend together the more feelings get involved, well maybe just for one of them.
This book was one that had me invested and I couldn’t wait to see how it would all play out. You know a train wreck is about to happen but you can’t help but to watch and see what will happen in its wake. This was a great read and I look forward to more by Kelly in the future.
In this last book in the Aces Hockey series from Kelly Jamieson, perpetual bachelor Cam takes a bet that he can’t date a woman for two months without falling for her, and he picks Olivia as the target of his affections.
Olivia is a good sport about things when she finds out what is going on, but everything backfires when Cam and Olivia start realizing their true feelings for each other.
This was a fun story that was a perfect ending for this series. Light and sweet and full of heat and an enjoyable easy read. No big surprises. Can be read standalone.
An ARC was provided for review.
I’m sad, you want to know why I’m sad? It’s because this is the last book in the Aces Hockey Series, this is one series that I actually hoped would keep going and going and going. It’s rare that you find a series that keeps you coming back for more and wishing it would never end but that is exactly what I had found with the Aces Hockey Series. Not only do we have a great group of men but the women they fall for a phenomenal as well. Each and every book had me hooked from beginning to end.
Game On is Cam’s story. Cam and Oliva’s story touched me on a personal level because of how they got together, the guys made a bet that Cam couldn’t get Olivia to go out with him (part one of the bet) and if he did that he couldn’t date her for two months without falling in love (part two of the bet). Well this is somewhat similar to how my husband and I started dating, yes it was a bet very similar to part one of Cam’s bet only there was no second part because everyone was shocked that I said yes to the original date they weren’t going to push fate any further…smart guys..LOL only Cam’s friends weren’t as smart….or maybe they were. You see Cam was sort of a Playboy he was the One and Done type of guy, you know what I’m talking about but what no one was expecting was that Olivia was just the person he needed to change his ways.
This was an emotional read at times because both Cam and Olivia have been hurt before and when their stories are told, well lets just say I understood why Cam was the way he was. As for Olivia, she was guarded and had every right to be I’m just glad she gave Cam a real shot.
This is an easy book to recommend for all lovers of contemporary romance that will heat up your eReaders, over 18 please, especially if you enjoy the sports romance genre. Game On can be read as a standalone as can the other books in the series but I guarantee once you read one of the books you’ll want to get to know each of these men better, and since this is the last of the series it will contain spoilers for past books so if you think you may want to read more of them I suggest you start at the beginning, you wont be disappointed. Happy Reading!!!
