When the stakes are this high, it’s game on. . . . “Kelly Jamieson is an auto-buy for me.”—New York Times bestselling author Carly Phillips Cam Brickley and his pro hockey teammates bet on everything: who can win five faceoffs in a row, who can do forty pushups in less than a minute, who can eat a ghost pepper without puking. But when his buddies bet him he can’t date the same woman—like, say, … date the same woman—like, say, the hot blonde over at the bar—for two months and not fall in love, he’ll take that bet all day. Then he’ll laugh all the way to the hockey arena, where they’ll be washing his jock straps for the rest of the season, because Cam’s never giving up his bachelor lifestyle.
Olivia Lockwood, heiress to the Lockwood Industries fortune, is used to people using her for her money and family connections. When Cam Brickley hits on her in a club, Olivia’s first instinct is to brush him off. But he couldn’t be using her for her money, since he has more than enough of his own. Cam’s gorgeous and built, and it would be no hardship to go out with him . . . besides, he’d be the perfect spokesperson for the children’s charity she works with. Maybe it’s time for her to start using people.
Cam and Olivia are both in it for something. What they don’t know yet is that they’re playing for keeps.

A little tearful that it’s the end of the series. I enjoyed Cam and Olivia’s camaraderie. Their first few dates made them feel almost human to me .
I really enjoyed this book and would definitely read more of her books.
Loved reading about their fun dates and how they really could have a lot of fun with each other. Good book.
This was my first KJ book and it hooked me. Also seriously inspired me to start writing my own hockey romances!
Cam a pro hockey player makes a bet with teammates he could get Olivia to go out with him.
The story continues with Cam going after Olivia to win a bet he would have to go out with Olivia
for two months without falling in love with her. Does Cam own up to his teammates he loves
Olivia?? Well you will have to read the book to find out. It has you rooting for Olivia and hoping
her dreams come true. A sweet love story of course with a HEA.
4,5 stars
I love the “Aces Hockey” series. I’ve read some of the books and I’m eager to read all of the characters books!
Cam is known to sleep with a woman just once. When his friends bet him that he can’t be with the same woman for 2 months without falling in live, he’s eager to prove them wrong. What he didn’t see coming was Olivia! She’s trying to boost her nonprofit organization and Cam will be the best spokesman to help her do that.
Their every date ends badly. I laughed so hard with how unlucky they were each time. Their dates may be a disaster, but they get along so well, that feelings are developing. I was so frustrated with Cam’s stubbornness and unwillingness to open up to her.
I really liked this book and I’m so sad to see this series coming to an end. However, I’m looking forward to more sports romance books from the author!!
This was okay for me. The writing flowed well for the most part, but I did skim a little bit. I haven’t read any of the other stories in this series, and there were a lot of other people mentioned. It got a little overwhelming at times. Olivia and Cam had pretty good chemistry, and I liked them most of the time. Even though Olivia finds out about the bet pretty early on, I did get aggravated with the way she acted with Cam’s response to his friends about it. She had feelings, and was mad when Cam didn’t admit he had them too (for the first time mind you) in front of everyone. The deal was supposed to be a fling. Cam eventually comes around. The ending was sweet, and I was happy to see these two get their HEA. I will be on the look out for other titles from this author.
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced readers copy of this book.
This book was so hard to put down to get stuff done. I could have spent my day getting lost in Cam and Olivia’s story. I need to go back and read all the books in this series. I love a good sports romance.
Cam doesn’t take chances and doesn’t do commitment. He takes a bet his teammates throw at him. They don’t think he date one woman for two months without falling in love. After getting to know Olivia it was game over.
Olivia is the daughter of a powerful family. She doesn’t trust easily. All the men from her past dated her for what she could do for them. She is not looking for a relationship but decides to go one some dates with Cam.
Game On was a fun fast pace read that I did not want to end. I will miss these characters.
THE END…. but such a wonderful ending to this series. Game On is just the perfect story to bring it all together. Most of the guys are ready to retire, or move on to other teams, but they need to win the Cup first! Brick and Olivia are just so perfect. The et that turns both of their worlds upside down! The first date to beat all others! This book has all the best wrapped into one, and the EPILOUGE.. Fan-freaking-Tastic!!!
10 hockey stars for sure!!
I have enjoyed getting to know the Aces team and their girls. I have enjoyed each book more and more. While reading Cam and Olivia’s story I had no idea this was going to be the finale. It’s a bittersweet goodbye. As I want to get to know the rest of the team, the ending is everything you’d want not only for Cam and Olivia but the entire Ace’s franchise. It may be the end of the Aces but it’s not the end of Ms. Jamieson’s hockey romances and I say BRING.IT.ON!
Okay, this wasn’t exactly a hit out of the park for me, but I still found it to be rather enjoyable.
Books starting off with a bet always get me a little nervous because you know once the truth is revealed all hell breaks loose. But Game On surprised me with the truth coming out a bit earlier than later and I really appreciated that. To me, that was just more realistic.
I give these two major props for still giving their dates a chance in the beginning, sooo many freak accidents happening, but it was super entertaining to read about. However, it really gave us the chance to get to know them better.
Cam was what made this book for me because I had trouble connecting with Olivia’s character. I found that she was a bit stuck in past and used it as a crutch more than I liked her too. I was hoping that the real reason behind why Cam doesn’t do relationship was mentioned sooner and talked about a bit more. I think it would have added even more depth to the story.
The one thing I need to get going on ASAP is reading the rest of this series. As usual, I’m a bit late to start this series with Big Stick being my first-read. I truly enjoy Kelly Jamieson’s writing style, she definitely had me giggling at some of the moments between Cam and Olivia.
So there’s no doubt that I’ll be keeping my eye out on Jamieson’s future releases!
Major thank you to Loveswept and Netgalley for the advanced reader’s copy!
Outstanding contemporary hockey romance. The blurb describing this book is very good but only gives the reader a small glimpse into this book. I loved the characters and how they interacted with one another. Olivia was hurt in the past and unsure how to ever trust another man. Cam has had a charmed life but loves his teammates and even going so far to make a bet regarding a woman. That’s an almost always a fatal mistake. There is crossover from characters in years books which I think increases the enjoyment of reading it. I received a complementary copy via Net Galley and chose to write a review. I look forward to reading future books by Ms. Jameison.
My favorite of the series! There was just something about Cam and Olivia that really had me invested in their relationship right from the start. Each of them was a good person all in their own right, but had reasons for not trusting in forever. It was a joy to watch them overcome their doubts and go for it. Really enjoyed the Aces!
Chicago Aces hockey player Cam Brickley is always up for a challenge! When his teammates bet him he can’t get the hot blonde standing over at the bar to go out with him, he’s all in! When they bet him he can’t date her for two months without falling in love, he says even better. Color him shocked when he actually enjoys her company and doesn’t want the two months to be up.
Olivia Lockwood is used to men wanting her for who her family is, so when she meets Cam who obviously has money all on his own, it’s almost like a breath of fresh air to spend time together. She’s not in it for a relationship, but she could use a spokes-person for her non-profit! Both are looking for a win in their own way, but neither are expecting to stumble into their very own forever.
Something about a bet when it comes to romance that just spells bad news. But for once…this romance spells H-E-A. Cam, pro hockey player extraordinaire, is a sucker for any bet because he’s confident he can win them all. When a night out with them team lands him a bet with one hot woman, he’s not sure he can handle the stakes. Olivia is smart as a whip and funny as hell. The more dates he takes her on the less likely he thinks he can win the bet of not falling in love with her before their time is up. So what does out our brave and bold hockey player do? He tells the heroine about the bet!
Olivia is tired of mean only dating her to get in her fathers good graces; not to mention her families doubts about her charity work. Focused on finding happiness for herself, a night out with professional hockey play Cam could lead to some great opportunities: in her charity and her bed. Olivia is convinced she can keep their “dating” as a business contract, but she didn’t plan on Cam being filled with charm and caring. Now she has to decide on fighting for her charity or protecting her heart. When she learns their dates have only been part of a bet, she decides to shield her heart and help him win against his friends; at the cost of her happy ever after.
I loved Cam and Olivia’s relationship from the get go. These two had quips back and forth like they’d been friends for years. Not to mention Cam is such a swoony hero; he’ll sweep any reader off their feet. Watching his realization of his feelings for Olivia was different from typical heroes of romance. He had a fear of failure but not quite a failure of love; just a fear of not being able to accomplish something so great. Olivia’s tender heart and honesty help him figure that out along the way. Its a sweet feel good romance about trusting your own heart to find out what makes you happy!
What do you get when you cross a klutzy, beautiful, rich girl with a cocky, gorgeous, wealthy hockey player? You get an incredibly funny, sweet, hot story called Game On by Kelly Jamieson. With lots of hockey playing and hockey players this book is chocked full of Chicago history, hockey moves, and cheesy pick up lines that will leave the reader laughing and ready to grab their foam finger and hit the rinks. Jamieson’s brilliant writing is entertaining and had me laughing and hoping that the main characters find a way to stay together. Even though Game On is the last book in the Aces Hockey series Jamieson promises it will not be the last hockey book that she writes, which is AWSOME because she is just too good at it. Game On is worthy of a hat trick and all 5-stars.
Olivia Lockwood needs a celebrity to promote her non-profit organization to keep the donations coming in. Cam Brickley needs the gorgeous blond at the bar to go out with him to win one bet then to date him for two months to win another. One disastrous date turns to two and the duo might just be hooked, but it’s only to get what they need from the other, or is it? It’s all about donations for the kids and winning a bet, but what happens if they actually have fun together? What happens if the chemistry between Cam and Olivia is so off the charts that neither one of them can stand to be away from the other? What happens when one bet and one non-profit organization needs two people the way they need each other? It’s Game On!
I’ve been a fan on this series since the beginning and I’m sad to see it end. Every one of these books was a spot on in the sports department and every story was relatable.
What I loved most about Game On were Cam and Olivia! These two were FUN! Not only with their personalities but also with their chemistry! They both had history to move past to get to their HEA and it was poignant and heartwarming to read them go thru their journey.
I cannot recommend enough, not only this series but this author as well. Altho this story could be read as a standalone, previous players/couples do play a part in the story so you might as well start from the beginning and ENJOY!
So sad that this is the last book in this amazing series! But I know Kelly won’t disappoint when she starts the next one!
Follow Cam Brickley, he and his friends bet on just about everything! When Cam spots the girl at the bar, he doesn’t think about it, he knows he can score with her, but when his friends make it a bet, and when he actually meets her and gets to know her, can he not fall in love with her as per the bet with his friends?
Olivia comes from a well off family, and she’s used to guys using her to get to her father. But something is different with Cam, he’s got his own money, he doesn’t need her dads or the connection to him. She’s never considered herself overly pretty, so what does cam see in her?
Read along as their story unfolds, Cam and Olivia will have you swooning your heart away! 5 hot hockey pucks for this one don’t miss the final story in this series!
Game On is the 8th and final book in the Aces Hockey Series. While I was able to read this book as a stand alone I was definitely hooked by these characters and can not wait to go one click books 1-7. As much as I absolutely loved this book, I believe that had I read the other books first I would have loved this one even more.
Right from the very first page I was drawn into the story and could not put it down until I had finished. There were some seriously hilarious moments between Cam and Olivia that had my laughing out loud as well as some serious heartbreaking ones.
This book really does have it all and I couldn’t think of a way to make it any better. – By Alisa
Game On is the final book in the Aces Hockey series, which is Cam and Olivia’s story. Really liked these two characters, the over confident hockey jock Cam and the confident lacking Olivia who has a heart of gold and wants to make a difference in the lives of kids. I’m not usually a cocky character reader, but Cam just reached out and drew me in, I really loved his compassion for Olivia and her klutziness, which was pretty hysterical in the beginnings of the relationship. Liked Olivia’s character, but got rather irritated at times of her insecurities, just got kind of old after awhile, but overall she was really enjoyable. Great romance and steamy scenes throughout this book, this couple was definitely made for each other. Ending was probably my favorite of all the books in the series, great way to end it.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC copy of this book.
It’s very sad indeed when a series you have been enjoying since the very first book comes to an end, but I also feel that when you extend series for too long they lose their luster. So, this series ends with a bang with a great story about Cam Brickley and the girl he finds in a bar and invites out on a date to win a bet with his group of hockey team friends. They bet that he couldn’t date her for two months without falling in love. Game on!
Olivia is a great character. She has a slight problem about self-worth, coming from a childhood where she was chubby and clumsy. Now she’s the proud founder of a non-profit organization Move On Chicago, with programs to get kids in school to run and live a healthy lifestyle. She is also an avid runner and turned that chubby body into the sculpted body of an athlete. She knows how much she has achieved, knows how much she’s worth, yet the niggling feelings of inadequacy hide deep inside. When she meets Cam and he invites her out, she can’t believe that he could be into her, but she goes. The first dates are a riot and a comedy of horrors. There are so many laugh out loud moments, but both characters show their colors. They persevere in their dating and they get to a point where they are a fantastic couple. Cam wins Olivia over because he’s caring, attentive, charismatic and so well mannered.
I loved meeting with old friends like Rupp, Chase, Hallsy, Dupois, Army and their lovely wives. Their bantering and caring for each other shines again in this book. The sex scenes are, as always, plentiful once they get going, but their tender scenes are also plentiful and cute.
This story was straightforward with a few bumps and bruises to make it entertaining and it was straight fun and sweet and sexy. A great finale to such a fantastic series.
