When the stakes are this high, it’s game on. . . . “Kelly Jamieson is an auto-buy for me.”—New York Times bestselling author Carly Phillips Cam Brickley and his pro hockey teammates bet on everything: who can win five faceoffs in a row, who can do forty pushups in less than a minute, who can eat a ghost pepper without puking. But when his buddies bet him he can’t date the same woman—like, say, … date the same woman—like, say, the hot blonde over at the bar—for two months and not fall in love, he’ll take that bet all day. Then he’ll laugh all the way to the hockey arena, where they’ll be washing his jock straps for the rest of the season, because Cam’s never giving up his bachelor lifestyle.
Olivia Lockwood, heiress to the Lockwood Industries fortune, is used to people using her for her money and family connections. When Cam Brickley hits on her in a club, Olivia’s first instinct is to brush him off. But he couldn’t be using her for her money, since he has more than enough of his own. Cam’s gorgeous and built, and it would be no hardship to go out with him . . . besides, he’d be the perfect spokesperson for the children’s charity she works with. Maybe it’s time for her to start using people.
Cam and Olivia are both in it for something. What they don’t know yet is that they’re playing for keeps.

This is the first book by this author I’ve read and I loved every page. It’s hard to find the great romance writers these days with so many books out there. I was so happy to have discovered a new author to follow. This one is witty and funny with a great premise and fantastic writing. Love these two and their love story. Highly suggest for all lovers of sports romance or contemporary romance.
Kelly Jamieson does it again with another ice-melting read. Game On is all that!
I’ve never read anything by this author before so I didn’t know this was #8 and the final book in the series. I actually really enjoyed it. I didn’t feel lost not having read the previous books so that was good. Cam and Olivia are smoking hot together and I loved her non profit company that she runs. There were a lot of great moments in the book. I also liked the writing, I finished it in a couple of hours. I might even check out the other books in the series, some of the other players had me all kinds of intrigued.
This is the series finale for our Chicago Aces, and a fantastic finale it was!!! I loved Cam and Olivia. They had great chemistry both in and out of the bedroom. I really enjoyed their banter. They had a rough start, but still found ways to laugh about their misfortune. I liked the easiness between them. Cam was cocky, but love-able… Olivia, even after being hurt, was open and willing to risk her heart. They really seemed to compliment each other. I was glad we were visited by our favorite Aces couples, but I’m sad to see them go. A great ending to a great series! ***ARC provided for an honest review***
WOW Book Eight Already. Chicago Aces is not just another Hockey Series it’s A Kelly Jamieson Hockey Series and from the very first book you are totally vested in this team.
We get to meet in this final book Cam “Brick”Brickley. He is a Fantastic player for the Aces, A Great Brother & Son But he is also a player when it comes to the ladies and whenever there is a dare he never backs down, so asking a woman out seemed like a easy bet but when it’s Olivia Lockwood the odds are so much different.
Olivia Lockwood is a woman on a mission to prove to her family that she can succeed on her own and not working for her family. With her non-profit organization Move On Chicago her priority is her job and never again a man. But one night can change everything.
From the moment they meet you can’t help laughing out loud as they spend more time together you see how much fun they have with each other but can a stupid bet and some insecurities derail how incredible they can be together.
Even though this is the last book in this series Kelly Jamieson ends it with a high note and you can’t help feel this is a series I’m happy I read from book one right up untIl book eight.
Now here’s a bet worth losing!
Cam makes a bet with his teammates, but he can’t win without losing. Olivia is a terrific partner for him, as she challenges him on every level really makes him work for it. Their dates were certified disasters, yet they made the most of their time together and proved that the unconventional ways are sometimes the best. These two really bring out the best in each other, and their love story was sweet and steamy.
The author beautifully wrapped up the storyline for the Aces in this book. If you’ve read any of the books in this series, you don’t want to miss this one. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
I am so sad this is the last book in the series. It has been a remarkable journey with these players and the women they fall in love with. Whether you are a hockey fan or not, there is always something in these stories that will melt your heart.
This is about Cam and Olivia. Cam is the joker of the group who is always up for a good time and a crazy bet. He meets Olivia on a bet made with his friends. On their first date they get food poisoning and that is the beginning of a funny a comedic set of events to follow. The author includes tiny and interesting details about the locale in this, and her other books, which gives life and personality to the plot and characters. This book not only allows Cam and Olivia to find their happiness, but neatly ties up the entire series which is well done.
I just love this series and while I am sad to see it go, this was a great way to end it! Kelly Jamieson put the perfect icing on the delicious cake that has been this series!!
I adored Cam and Olivia and I loved being on their wonderful journey to their HEA. Their first date was absolutely epic! Unfortunately I felt like I was right there with them lol. You really need to read it to truly understand.
I think I laughed and swooned my way through much of this one. Their dates were just awesome! I enjoyed them so much, but probably not as much as they did! What started out as a bet, turned out to be the best thing to ever happen to Cam and Olivia. I really love them together! And I loved the interaction with Cam’s teammates, who we all know from previous books, to bring this series to a nice conclusion. You don’t want to miss this final Aces book, you really don’t!!
I loved this book! It was full of humor, steam, and honesty (except with themselves). Olivia learned to believe what others said about her because of Cam’s directness. He was a sweet but mixed up man. By the end of the book, there were tears and smiles. I did not want to stop reading this story. I highly recommend this story. It was sort of sad to end this series, but I look forward to the next one.
I received an ARC through Netgalley, and this is my unsolicited review.
Great Hockey Romance
This was an easy romance to get into, not too much drama and angst, but a lot of hilarity with their first dates. Omg, for Cam and Olivia to be able to laugh at themselves, with each other and at crazy situations just set a good mood for me.
Their characters also had flaws which only made them more real to me. I did have a bit of trouble going back and forth between the two POVs, until I read something definitive on who was speaking. Not a bad thing, just a stutter in the flow, as I read each chapter.
The storyline, the events and the descriptions ALL got firmly planted in my mind as I read their journey. The heat, the sincerity, the intense moments were all felt. And yes, the funny moments were especially liked and felt, because they just popped in at any ol time and could make me snort laugh at the most inopportune times.
A great ending to this series, and I look forward to more hockey from this knowledgeable author.
I received an ARC thru Net Galley and am voluntarily giving my honest review.
5 Star Review of Game On (Aces Hockey #8) by Kelly Jamieson
This is book 8 in the Aces hockey series and can be read as a standalone. Kelly Jamieson has done a great job with this series; this is Cam Brickley and Olivia Lockwood’s story.
Game On brings the series to a conclusion and I am saddened. This has been a great series and I have enjoyed all the books.
Cam is a confirmed bachelor and when his teammates bet him he can’t date the same woman for 2 months without falling in love, he has no problems accepting the bet; after all he is Cam Brickley.
However the woman in question Olivia, is a woman of money used to men only wanting her for what she can give him. This time she is determined to get something she wants out of a relationship too; Cam would be the perfect spokesman for her Children’s charity.
The chemistry between Cam and Olivia simply smoulders. Will they both realise the potential their relationship has or run before it has a chance?
I really liked Cam and Olivia, they were great characters and I enjoyed their story line. Cam was hard to like initially but he really grew on me. Olivia has been hurt in the past and her fears compound her insecurities. However when they both realise that their feelings have deepened, Cam tells her about the bet.
Game On was a fitting end to a great series.
Fabulous. A perfect blend of romance, fun, drama and sports. Cam doesn’t like to lose, ever. When he is bet that he can’t date a woman for 2 months and not fall in love, well, he takes that bet knowing relationships aren’t his thing. Olivia is surprised when Cam approaches her at the bar and even more shocked when she agrees to a date. Well, she does need a celebrity spokesperson to help her charity, Move Chicago. Now, these two have the best first date ever that ends in the most unexpected way. Taking a chance for a second date is a gamble for both of them. Truly, this surprised me in the best way and built a great foundation for how these two just naturally connected. Of course, there are challenges along the way. Olivia believing no one will believe she measures up for love and Cam, well, he is afraid of it. As the hockey season gets more intense, can these two find a path to love? It was a great ride for me that a thoroughly enjoyed. I voluntarily read an ARC of this book and this is my honest review.
A refreshing take on a trope that’s been done and done again. Overall, the story is pretty lighthearted with terrific wit, and the author’s use of sarcasm is right up my alley. We also get some great chemistry between Cam and Olivia, including plenty of steamy goodness. In the beginning, I wasn’t sure I was going to like Cam, He’s that guy, the one who always gets his way, is good at everything, and has no concept of failure. However, as the story progresses, it’s impossible not to fall for that charm and cocky attitude, especially with the amount of personal growth for our sexy playboy. Game On winds up the Aces Hockey series, but does stand on its own. And props to the author for including some exciting and nail-biting game play in this sports romance. Kelly Jamieson has knocked it out of the park with this one, and I’m excited to see what she comes up with next.
I absolutely love Game On!
Get ready hockey romance fans because this is a fantastic story, with characters that you will love and moments that will have you laughing.
What starts as a bet among those tough hockey plays ends with Cam having his legs pulled out from under him by the sweet and sassy Olivia! The same is true for Olivia. She doesn’t want another relationship after the last one she experienced, but slowly Cam works his way into her heart.
Their first couple of dates don’t exactly go smoothly but those moments seems to bond them from the beginning. They have fun together and simply enjoy each other’s company. Yes, they definitely have chemistry, but they really have so much more to offer each other than that.
Game On (Aces Hockey, #8) by Kelly Jamieson Oh my… Kelly this is the best one so far…Thank you so much to the publishers and #NetGalley for letting me preview this book. Cam and Olivia … he hates to loose and she never felt like she measured up to her brother and sister…. they are perfect together…this books has all the laughs, the fun game of Hockey( and since I live in Clearwater, Fl is was fun to have Tampa Bay Lightning in the story) some history and very steamy sex getting to a very HEA. ( and lets not forget Magnum) I am so looking forward to more books in this series.
Great Characters
This was an easy fun read about a man saying he would never settle down and a woman who had every material thing within her grasp but was still missing an important piece of herself. Olivia was dedicating her life to a nonprofit organization helping kids be active and a part of something life changing. Now she needed a standout person as her spokesperson. Just her luck she was having drinks at the same bar as where Cam and his friends were having some drinks. What better spokesperson that a pro hockey player at the top of his game.
His friends had bet Cam that he couldn’t go out with Olivia for two months without falling in love. This was an easy win for Cam, or so he thought. He wasn’t a long term relationship type of guy and what better way to spend two months than by dating the beautiful Olivia. Both Cam and Olivia stand to gain something by going out.
This was a fast paced fun read with laugh out loud moments and at other times had your heart breaking. Even though this is the first book I read in this series I am definitely going back to read the first books.
**I voluntarily read an early copy of this title courtesy of NetGalley and the publisher in exchange for an honest review**
Game On is the final installment in the Aces Hockey series. We’ve had a great run with this series and I was happy to see it end with a strong finish.
Cam Brickley has always been a player in every sense of the word – he plays hard on the ice, but he also loves women and isn’t a fan of long term, committed relationships. He’s upfront about that and so it hasn’t been a problem to this point. When he and his teammates do what they always do, bet on something, what turns out as a seemingly simple bet, to get the beautiful woman in the bar to go out with him for two months, may turn out to be the most complicated wager of his life.
Olivia Lockwood is making a name for herself with her non-profit organization, which is a far cry from her family’s business Lockwood Industries. She’s never really fit with the family business and she also has never totally fit in with her siblings. The one thing that Olivia has always had to deal with is people wanting to befriend her or date her in order to get closer to her family’s business and that has begun to weigh on her, causing her to want nothing to do with dating. When she meets Cam, will he change that?
Will these two people, who need one another for different reasons, figure out that they really want each other for themselves and not for the original reasons they got together? Or will their past insecurities end things before they really get going?
I enjoyed these characters and I also really enjoyed how Jamieson pulled in little known facts about Chicago. As someone who has been to the city many times, I didn’t know those things and it makes me want to go back and explore further now! I’m sad to see this series come to an end, but I’m glad to know we’ll be getting more hockey from Jamieson in the future!
I was provided and uncorrected proof of Game On by Netgalley for my honest review… and to be honest? I knew I that I was going to love it before I even read it because…Kelly Jamieson! Hockey! Sweet and sexy romance! It’s a combo that can’t go wrong!
Game On is the latest installment in the Aces Hockey Series featuring Cam Brickley and a bet he makes with his teammates involving the sweet and lovely Olivia Lockwood. Neither of them want to fall in love, but these things have a way of sneaking up on hardheaded hockey players… can’t say he wasn’t warned… and sweetly insecure heiresses.
Cam and Olivia’s story was a joy to read. I hope that you enjoy it too!
Reading Game On by Kelly Jamieson is bitter-sweet! I have loved this whole series SOOOO much, but am so sad to see it end! This 8th book in the Aces Hockey series gives you the story of Cam Brickley AKA “Brick” and Olivia.
Olivia, an amazing woman who started up a fitness program for underprivileged kids called Move On Chicago, is now the challenge of a bet between hockey player Cam and some of his teammates…loser has to wash jocks! EW! He is to date her for 2 months, and not fall in love. She needs him as a spokesperson for her charity, so it is a win-win. However, with her demeaning family, and his obnoxious teammates, things get a little difficult.
This hot, emotional story ties in some of the players from the previous books, but they don’t necessarily need to be read first (but ummmm….why wouldn’t you???) I love the way the author, Kelly Jamieson, wrote this book and this series! I am a huge hockey fan and it wasn’t hard to fall in love with the characters and the storyline! I give this and every book in the series a MUST-READ!!!
I’m so glad that I found Kelly Jamieson, wish that I would have found her sooner. But I guess, better late than never. I really enjoyed Cam and Olivia’s story. I liked that their dates didn’t get off to a great start but wound up being very memorable. I, also, liked that Cam was upfront about most things trying not to hurt her. If you love hockey and great stories, I highly recommend that you try Kelly Jamieson.
