In a world built on secrets, who can you trust? I have my assignment: infiltrate the Gifted government and find a way to undermine their power. Should be easy, right? But my magic is going haywire again, the bond to my four is straining, and I don’t know how to play the role I’ve been given. On top of that, I’m starting to realize there’s even more danger here than meets the eye. Someone in the … danger here than meets the eye.
Someone in the Capital isn’t playing by the rules…
Which leaves just one question. Whose side are they on?
I can handle myself in a fight. But can I win the game of lies?
Get ready for more romance, magic, and intrigue in the second book of the Magic Awakened series, a Reverse Harem urban fantasy featuring one badass ex-mercenary and the four sexy-as-sin men who will do anything to protect her.

This was a really good follow up to book #1. Lana is now living newly found Grandma & Gifted Council Representative. Their relationship is slow going but is starting to make progress
Her four bonded men end up moving in to her Grandma’s house with them after a rather large disaster with her unstable magic! Beatrice, although old, takes their odd relationship in her stride The hotness factor beats up especially between Corin and then Fenris with Lana
There is heartache, tears & betrayal for our intrepid resistance fighters in this book. Poor Lana really emotionally battered The continued & constant blatant hatred by each group for the other is awful & is made worse by the overwhelming power the Gifted hold over the Blighted, it’s a sickening state of affairs!!
I’ll be starting book #3 immediately

OMG, this story just got even better!!!… Love the connection between Lana and the four, hope to read more about she and Akio and Jae in the next book… The plot is so good, full of surprises, bad ones, betrayal, losses and a future big bad danger for all of them, if can’t stop Rain’s evil plan. Can’t wait for the next book!!!
I received an advanced/review copy of this book. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content and honesty of my review.
Sadie Moss has quickly become a favorite author of mine. I loved the first book in this series, but I have to say that I enjoyed this one a little more. While the first book primarily focuses on Lana’s new abilities and feeling blindsided by discovering she’s one of the magic users she’s always detested, this book is Lana attempting to figure out where she fits in in this new world of privilege she finds herself in.
This book was filled with action-packed scenes, intrigue, magic politics, romance, and ugh, some amazingly sexy love scenes between a couple of her men that had me sweating while I was reading! lol
I can’t wait for the next book!! Especially since this one ends on such a cliffhanger.
If you’d like to read my full review of this wonderful book, please visit my book blog at https://www.alatedbibliophile.com 🙂
OMG this book blew me away, I was hooked from the start, and riding an emotional rollercoaster and hanging on to the edge of my seat. Just when Lana starts to settle with her long lost grandmother – who accepts her four men & quirks, Lana suffers a horrendous loss, and tensions build around the city increasing danger to the blighted. As Lana and her men start to uncover the mole, she is betrayed by someone close and held captive! What a cliff-hanger, I need the next book, another fantastic narration by Heather Firth.
Game Of Lies by Sadie Moss is a reverse harem paranormal romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Heather Firth. This is the second book in the Magic Awakened Trilogy.
Sadie has done an amazing job on this series so far and I cannot wait to dive into the third and final book in the series Consort of Rebels. This book does end on a cliffhanger but it was no surprise since it is part of a trilogy.
Heather did a great job on the narration. She really knows how to bring a story to life.
I would recommend this book if you like Paranormal/Fantasy Romance, Slow-Burn Romance, or Reverse Harems.

I totally love this series. I love the intricate details, intrigue and wonderful characters in this complex storyline.
This second book has ramped up the pressure on Lana and she has to learn to navigate this new world she has been thrown into.
Love it!!!
This series is just getting better and better. Everything i’ve read so far from Sadie Moss was a fantastic read and this book is one of them too. I couldn’t put it down. It was a well written and action-packed story with twists and turns that kept me guessing. I Had to grab and read book 3 before completing this review, i couldn’t stand not knowing what would happen next. ;)-
Book 2 has so much intrigue and fast-paced storyline, I couldn’t get enough of it. I listened to it way too quickly and hopefully will get book 3 soon so I can devour it like this one haha. Loved Game of Lies, even when I almost cried on my way to work
Narration: Heather I think does an even better job in Game of Lies compared to Bound by Magic. She had waaaay more characters to do and she made them distinct enough I could figure out who was talking. I thought she did the council/representatives very well, as well as Beatrice and her help at home. I loved her Akio voice in here even more, as well as her other men. There was so much emotion for them each to deal with and I could feel it through speaker. Heather enhanced and made the story better by the way she performed. Amazing job!
Story: ahhhhh ok, I wont post any spoilers but this one was super exciting. Book 1 set the stage and book 2 decided to throw all this stuff at Lana and her guys and it was pretty insane at some point haha. I loved every second and seriously didn’t want it to end. I was heartbroken with the loss, not entirely surprised by the twist and almost flung my phone when the audiobook ended haha. Sadie does a great job making you want more. Especially with the relationship between Lana and each of the 4. I am dying for Jay and Akio to get their turn, I will implode with happiness when I get to that part in book 3 . I really liked the group working together, the subterfuge, and the little bits of history revealed to give us the bigger picture and answering some lingering questions. There is still so much unanswered, but I beat Sadie will hit it out of the park like she did books 1 and 2. Love love love
More ‘Magic Awakened” Greatness! Fabulous Audible Listen
Game of Lies: A Reverse Harem Paranormal Romance
Magic Awakened, Book 2
By: Sadie Moss
Narrated by: Heather Firth
This is the 2nd book in this great “Magic Awakened” series, it picks up where the first one leaves off. This is one action packed story and i I just can not get enough of it. If you have not read or listened to the first one do not continue to read this review, go read or listen to the book, it is awesome and lays the groundwork for this story. Lana joined the resistance and this book starts off with her infiltrating the “gifted” government. She finds herself a perfect “in” or rather it found her, that being her a Grandmother she did not know she had. Beatrice is a Government official and board member. I really liked Beatrice, her acceptance of Lana, how she listened how she grew up amongst the blighted and how she just acquired her magic, her gifted ones and the ones from her bonded men. She still needs to control it better and her men are there to help, I just love how supportive and protective they are of her. It is great to see their bond and feelings for each other continue to develop and deepen. A lot goes down in this book, there is plenty of drama and twists as Lana uncovers truths and betrayals, in both the government and the resistance. I am looking forward to next book in this series, Lana must prevail! Sadie Moss thank you for this fabulous story and series.
I listened to the Audible edition, Heather Firth is a wonderful narrator and voice performer. She continues to bring these characters to life, giving each their own voice and personality as well as attitude and heart. Her portrayal of Lana is spot on, she makes her sound badd ass and you can hear her gaining confidence and strength as the story goes on. Her male voices are awesome, she does justice for each one, think my favorite is Akio you can hear his angsty attitude in her performance. Heather Firth is an entertaining storyteller and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another awesome listen
This series has been a slow burn reverse harem and we still haven’t gotten any steamy scenes but the bond between them all is tight and romantic. Lots of action, suspense and mystery! Which always seems to come with a twist 😉 I like this series and am excited for the final audiobook next. The narrator and author both kick butt with this audiobook.

Game of Lies starts where book one lets off.
The plot is starting to thicken, with intrigue, suspense, action, betrayal and we learn more about the characters as they get to know each other. This is a definite slow burn, but signs of progress in there relationship and the chemistry is definitely there.
Looking forward to book three.
Heather does a wonderful job bringing these characters to life.

Oh wow so many surprises, some heartbreak and betrayals. Also some answers as to what caused the great death to begin with. So much happened not only with Lana and her four but in their investigation. Such a good continuation of book one, entertaining and detailed, well written with a great storyline and fantastic characters.
Conspiracies, deceptions, and lies oh my! At least there was love and great story to counteract it! This book is a perfect middle to the trilogy. Answers some questions from book 1 while posing more for the finale. I can’t wait.
This second book of “Magic Awakening” continues where the first one left off. The characters are being more defined and bringing in more that will keep your interest and curiosity peaked. We have the fight against good and evil going with surprises around every corner. Lana is starting to come into her own and what a journey it is turning out to be. This one just keeps getting better and better.
I honestly did not know where Sadie Moss was going to take Lara’s journey after Book One. But this book just really keeps you guessing, in all the best ways! Once I started Game of Lies, I could not put it down and just had to keep going, it was THAT GOOD!
We have high emotions that are tested to their limits, and steamy moments between Lana and her four gorgeous men. People who were once friend are now foe, and foe is now enemy. Or are they? We have plot twists and new issues. It’s such an up and down ride, but it definitely has you craving more!
“I was theirs. They were mine. And I would do anything to protect them.”
