I swore off dating athletes years ago. I’m completely committed to my career in politics and public relations, and I love being a single woman, thank you very much.
When I met Gideon Maynard at our friends’ engagement party, the attraction between was instant and undeniable. Still, I’m smart enough to know that a relationship isn’t in the cards for us. Being friends is enough for me . . . until it isn’t. And that scares the hell out of me.
Gideon
People call me football royalty. Generations of my family have played this game, owned the teams, run the leagues . . . and as starting quarterback for the Richmond Rebels, I guess I’m fulfilling some kind of destiny. But I don’t care about any of that. I live and breathe football because the rest of my life is broken and empty.
The moment I spotted Sarah Jenkins at that party, I knew she was trouble for me. One night might not have been enough to get her out of my system, but it’s all I can risk . . . even if I can’t stop myself from wanting her.
When steamy nights and passionate kisses aren’t enough anymore, I’m tempted to try for something deeper, even if that means believing in scary ideas like trust and forgiveness.
If only love were as simple as football.

A great addition to the series. Great story line that flows smoothly and holds the readers attention. Strong, well developed characters that have great chemistry. You’ll be feeling all the feels as you read through the story. An enjoyable read.

I really like how books by Tawdra Kandle are always about REAL people! She makes me feel all of the emotion and insecurities as well as the bonds that form with a friendship-only to long-lasting love experience!! Ms. Kandle has a true gift in that area and the story about Gideon and Sarah is an excellent example of that. I have loved every single book in this series and it was great to catch-up with the couples from the previous books!

Wounded people trying to live in a harsh and broken world.
Trust is more hard won than friendship- and is much easier to throw away.
Romance and enduring love need work and more chances.
Rocky roads to possible romance, or ruined romance?

Gideon, the king of leave me be, meets the woman who threatens to blow his privacy fort out of the water.
Sarah has a no dating athletic rule, meeting Gideon makes her reconsider that rule.
Gideon and Sarah are the latest installment in the Keeping Score series and what a return it is. They both find themselves in the minority of quickly coupling friends. Neither is happy in their lives overall and want to make changes.
After a quick, no string attached, hook up things get weird for Gideon. Can Sarah help him realize they can have a valid friendship without all the weirdness and demand of a “real relationship”, or can they?
Sway was a good mix of emotions, from friendship to heat and back again. Letting ourselves trust our emotions again after heartbreak is a long road to traverse. Learning to let go and live is one of the greatest things we can do for ourselves.
I voluntarily read and reviewed a copy provided by Booksprout without expectations. Another good read from Tawdra Kandle, I expect nothing less.
Every time I start to read one of Ms. Kandle’s stories, I have to be sure there’s nothing else that will need my attention because from the beginning my sole focus is going to be that story. “Sway” is no different. You are drawn into the lives of Gideon Maynard and Sarah Jenkins and become so immersed in their story that you will hardly be aware of your surroundings. Yes, it is that good! They start out as reluctant friends who just haven’t figured out they are meant to be together. It’s quite a journey, with some bumps and a wrong turn or two, but just like most journeys, it’s well worth the trip. I strongly recommend you make the time to read this very engrossing tale. If you’ve been reading the other books in the series, you’ll enjoy getting to visit with some of the characters from those stories. But even if you haven’t, this love story stands on its own and will keep you involved and entertained from start to finish.
Sarah and Gideon have chemistry from the very beginning. They agree to be just friends as neither of them are ready for a relationship, but you can’t help who you fall in love with and they eventually have to admit their feelings. There are a lot of deep emotions in this book, family issues, past loves, hidden hurts, but in the end it is a romance with a HEA
