Game of Fear was a good 4 star read and book one in the Fearless series.
Abbie has been working hard at school and has set her sights on going to an exclusive Ivy League school after she graduates. Abbie happens to come across a letter that was left in her locker, she’s confused as to why it was left for her.
Things take a twist when she gets a photo, now she knows this is more serious than she originally thought. She is at risk of losing all that she has worked so hard for. Can Abbie figure out who is black mailing her before it’s too late?

If you’re looking for an exciting storyline with engaging characters written by an author with amazing talent I’ve got the book for you. Game of Fear by Glede` Browne Kabongo is all that and so much more. This book is full of exciting, suspenseful and enjoyable characters.
In Game of Fear Abbie Cooper’s entire life is about to be flipped upside down and she will question everything she thought she knew. Abbie is in her Senior year of High School and she has her whole future mapped out starting with going to Princeton. Yet everything changes when Abbie finds a note in her locker.
“I know what you did. Hypocrite! Justice will be served.” -The Avenger
What Abbie doesn’t know is that The Avenger’s game is just starting and won’t end until Abbie plays to the end. With the help of some awesome friends Abbie tries to figure out who is behind this and to stop them before it’s too late.
Will Abbie find out who The Avenger is or will Abbie’s entire world crumble around her?
This was my first time reading anything from this author Glede` Browne Kabongo and I can sat it will definitely not be the last! This author is extremely talented and I am thrilled that Game of Fear is only the beginning. Abbie’s story continues in book two Autumn of Fear.
Abbie knows what she wants out of her life and she knows that she has to work hard to accomplish those goals. For her, dating is a distraction, one she doesn’t want to toy with. She’s kept herself on the straight and narrow for so long. But even she is susceptible to mistakes. Someone out there knows of her mistake and is determined to make that moment be known to all. If this comes out, it ruins her dreams. Her family has already had to deal with her mother being framed for a murder and her father’s battle with cancer. To share the burden with them would cause more unnecessary hurt she feels. So she thinks she has no choice but to play the dangerous game the “avenger” wants to play.
Within all of the gameplay, Abbie lets down her guard, agreeing to date she finds out what it’s like to have the best of both worlds. She becomes closer to her friends, even opening up about what’s going on. Through them, she’s able to sort through the clues to reveal more and more dangerous levels the cruel avenger is willing to go to. In the end, who does it really end up being, a friend or a stranger?
I had read the 3rd book in the series by accident first and was determined to go back to the beginning. I’m so glad I did! I loved this book so much. It gives me so much insight into where Abbie ends up later in the series. Even though I thought the avenger was one person, the little bit of doubt was constantly there, messing with me. I felt like the answers were there, just out of reach! Through the whole book, I was sucked in and was ready to throw away my work for the day in order to just read more. I’ve already started book three and I plan on re-reading book 3! This was a fun thriller to read, and one that I’d love to go back to. It’s very well written and just fascinating!
This novel was great! I was enthralled from the beginning, this book would not let me go! Great storyline, slight thrills, and a very conclusive ending. There were some twists I was not expecting! Game if Fear was a psychological suspense story, one I recommend. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series!
Game of Fear by Glede Brown Kabongo is an exciting psychological thriller. Although the storyline isn’t exactly original – it is quite a common go to for this book type – the author has done a great job of creating an exciting story with it.
The book was a little shorter than I expected – either that or I just read it quicker than I realised. However I found myself engaged with the main character Abbie and enjoyed reading about her journey.
This is the first book that I have read by this author and I have to say I am thoroughly impressed. It was a well written and well developed book with interesting characters. I can’t wait to read more of her work.
Game of Fear – A gripping psychological thriller with a shocking twist (Fearless Series) by Glede Browne Kabongo lives up to its title. It is a YA thriller that is a little slow to start with but it builds and you are thrown into the psychological game of who is behind the taunts, the demands, the threats, the suspense continues all the way to the end when a twist you did not see coming is brought to the fore.
If you love a thrill then grab a copy.
I absolutely loved this book. From the first chapter and on, it kept me hooked. I love Abbie- our main female character. She is so smart and goes through trying to figure out who is blackmailing her, with normal emotion and also some serious smarts. Every character is extremely well established. I cannot wait to read the next book by Glende! New author for me, but I will definitely be back! If you like characters that are fully developed and stories that keep you hooked- this is the book for you!
I must admit right off the bat, I had no idea what I was going to be getting myself into with Game of Fear. I have never read anything by this author before, but I knew that I wanted to find out what this book was all about the moment I read the title and saw the cover. I was immediately hooked on the idea of a twisty psychological thriller and plunged right into the book head first.
It was a quick read with a rather predictable and typical mystery of someone is out to make our main character, Abbie Cooper, crazy when she receives a note and threat of “I know what you did.” Since the idea isn’t necessarily original I look for the book to be fantabulous in other ways like am I sitting on the edge of my seat? I was happy that for the most part this book kept me on the edge and reading right up until the end to figure things out. It was fast paced and I wasn’t bored. I am excited to see there will be more books available soon. I will be back for more to see what could come of it.
Game of Fear- A gripping psychological thriller with a shocking twist (Fearless Series) by Gledé Browne Kabongo is my first book by this author. The title peaked my interest as my favorite genre is psychological thriller. Her characters are fully developed and a bit mysterious. I feel as though I am apart of the story. This story kept me on the edge of my seat. It was such a roller coaster ride for my emotions. The story is about Abbie. Abbie had a goal to get into the Ivy League. But there is one problem, she did something bad and she is trying to keep it a secret. That proves to be hard since there was someone else knows her secret. Will Abbie get to the Ivy Leagues or will her secret come out?
Loved this book! It’s the story of a normal high school girl who made a mistake and has now got to try and keep it secret. It’s got love and mystery, and a plot that you’ll never see coming. It kept me guessing right to the very end. It had me gripped from the very first page and I couldn’t put it down until I devoured it all.
I loved this book. It brought suspense to another level. This author does a great job of making you feel as if you are part of the story. The story is well developed and engaging. The twists and turns left me sitting on the edge of my seat just waiting to see what would happen next. Abby is a good person and has everything going for her except that one time she did something very bad. Now someone has popped up saying they know but what do they want with her? I highly recommend reading this book and find out what happens next
