I loved book 1 in this series, it was so different to anything I had read so I couldn’t wait to see what was going to happen next. I loved that each chapter again was short and to the point and that we got to see how each character was getting on. I had a feeling that there were going to be a few twists and turns in the story and I was right! I had no idea what was going to happen and the author kept me guessing the whole way through. The author’s unique writing style is really engaging, you don’t get bored with long chapters, everything moves at a good pace and my interest was kept all the way through. I love the girls in the story and enjoyed reading about their lives after the implants but the character who I love reading about the most is Dr Kite! His chapters are the shortest but he is the most intriguing! I can’t wait for book 3 to see what finally happens in the lives of these characters!!
Game Changer by Jane Suen is the second book in her Alterations trilogy. This series does really need to be read in order for full understanding.
In the aftermath of the fire at his warehouse Dr Kite has fled. His experiments have been destroyed and he is trying to hide. Running to a small town he assumes no one will know him. However his identity might not be quite so secret.
Meanwhile Gigi, Ellen and Lilly are all trying to move on from the effects his experiments have had on their lives. Will they succeed? Or have they forever been altered?
I am really enjoying this series. This book was just as good as the first. I couldn’t wait to read more and see what happened. I wanted to find out more about the lives of the three women and how they handled the obstacles. The writing style had me hooked. I have found so far that this is an interesting and unique series, well worth the read.

In this story we are seeing the positive and negative effects of the chip. Dr. Kite is down on his luck after losing everything in the fire. But meeting someone has changed that. We catch up with Lilly, Ellen and Gigi they all are feeling the effects of the chip. Gigi isn’t aging, Lilly trusts no man and Ellen is having baby daddy issues. I liked this book better than the first. I felt like I learned a little more. Dr. Kite just doesn’t know how to leave well enough alone. He is always trying to fix or make things better. This isn’t going to end well for any of the characters involved.
Game Changer: Book 2 of the Alterations Trilogy by Jane Suen was just as good as the first with a little bit of sinister mystery going on in the background.
First off, this book picks up right where the last left off, and it doesn’t give you too much on what happened in the last book, so I highly suggest reading the first book, if not you are going to get lost and be confused.
I’m so happy this story is continuing, I did feel it ended abruptly in the last book, so this instalment didn’t waist anything bringing us back into this strange world. Now the story telling for this is multi POV, and they are short glimpse into into each characters life and where they are now. I have a slight feeling that something isn’t quite right with the girls, more so there are multi hints dropped and suggestive word play that makes you think everything is going to hit the fan in the next book. If I’m right, or partly right, I think the next book is going to be freaking epic.
Overall I loved this short read, it keeps you engaged, just staying long enough on each story to get you hooked before switching to the next. For me it was a great way to keep the reader engaged and to keep them reading. So please take my high recommendation that you will get sucked into this strange world of quick fixes, but, as you know, if it’s too good to be true…
Happy Reading

I LOVED this book, but that’s not a surprise because I love every one of this authors books. I’ve read them all and can not wait for the next.
I wasn’t even aware that there was another book coming after Alterations and when I saw it and then saw that its a trilogy??? This author writes in a way that when you pick her books up you have no idea what you may be in for. Every one of them are different and this to me is awesome!!
This story carried on from the first, the 3 ladies that Dr. Kite “helped” have now started moving on with their lives, and each one dealing with their own good and bad.
Dr. Kite is again up to something, and I loved reading his parts of this story.. I don’t know why he fascinates me so much but he does…Would I trust him if he showed up at my door? Ehhh, maybe to an extent.
Bring on the 3rd!! I can’t wait…This author has a style all her own and she is an immediate one click for me.
Loved it!!
This is the second book in this series but my favorite of the two. I enjoy how this author’s writing style is unique, she keeps things interesting and engaging even though her books are short. In this installment the three characters are on a self discovery journey in search of happiness. These three are relateable and connectable. They are separate but yet brought together in friendship. I highy recommend this book.

The story Game Changer: Book 2 of the Alterations Trilogy by Jane Suen is a book that has suspense, mystery and a bit of romance all added in. I was quite surprised when I found out about this story. I had loved the first one and I like that this one further takes you into the life of the characters that you were introduced to in the first book. It gives you a glimpse into how their lives have progressed since the last story. It seems that Gigi, Ellen, and Lily have been busy since their experience with Dr. Kite and his mind-control chip. They are characters that I have grown to love and wanted them to find happiness. Will they find that happiness with the choices that they are now making? What has Dr. Kite been up to? The Dr. is a character that I am always suspicious of as he is a master manipulator. The story is one that hooked me in and was an exciting journey with a bit of mystery and there are times when you wonder what is going to happen next. It is a well-written story that had me turning pages until I read the final one. I am looking forward to reading the next book in the trilogy.
An outstanding sequel from this author. She continues to give us unique characters that we can continue to root for. It is a suspense filled romance that keeps you turning the pages. Just like the previous installment, this one leaves me wanting more, anxious to continue the journey with these compelling characters, Gigi, Ellen, and Lilly. And who can forget the character you love to hate, Kite. If you haven’t began this series yet, I recommend you do soon.
After the fire destroys the lab, the three women and Dr. Kite are free to carry on their lives, or are they? Are there lasting consequences? They each face personal dilemmas, change, and major decisions, but I won’t spoil it.
Dr. Kite has moved to a new town and developed an infatuation with someone, but now what is he up to?
This is definitely a page turner with plenty of suspense! The author skillfully navigates through the lives the characters, keeping your attention and making you come back for more! If you like suspense, you will love this!
This is a great author, and what I especially like about the writing is how vivid and realistic the villain is. In fact, all characters are great, it’s fun to follow them on their journey.
Exciting, full of twists. I was riveted, waiting how the story would unfold. Couldn’t get enough!!! The ending was a bit abrupt… but I’ll see in the next book!
Lives of Ellen, Gigi, Lilly and Dr. Kite continue to evolve and intersect even after the burning of Dr. Kite’s warehouse. The microchip experience has changed all their lives, some in a better and some in a worse way. As each character carves their own path, I couldn’t but help wonder when it would all crash down once more. The author does a wonderful job of leaving that tension in the air, the feeling that sth is about to happen any moment now. This is a very fast and exciting read. Looking forward to reading the third book and finding out the fate of Dr. Kite.
Game Changer (Alterations book 2) by Jane Suen 4 stars
This is the second book in the Alterations trilogy. I would highly recommend reading book one, Alterations before diving into this book. This review may contain spoilers from book 1 because this book continues the story started in that book. This book starts a little over a year after the fire that destroyed Dr. Kite’s warehouse where all the information and research was stored. I enjoyed reading the continued stories of Gigi, Lilly, and Ellen, and of course Dr. Kite.
Dr. Kite was depressed. After losing all his medical microchips in the fire, he moved away to a small town to hide and live out the rest of his days. He quit caring about helping others. Dr. Kite also quit caring about his outward appearance and his work. He did the bare minimum in order to live each day.
Ellen has taken single motherhood by the horns. She loves her daughter with all her heart and has decided to take on a better position at a new company that pays more, in order to give her daughter a better life.
Gigi has decided to try a relationship with the man who has been by her side throughout her ups and downs. He turns out to be a total romantic and she is happy now that her nightmares and the accident are in her past.
Lilly has a new adventure. It is very unclear what her motives are and what she is actually trying to accomplish. She is training women of the highest physical and emotional health to be her minions.
This book really didn’t answer all the questions I had with book one, and it brought up more complicated questions when the book ended. It was confusing with some of the characters and left me yearning for answers. I can’t wait to read book three and hope all my questions are answered. This book was also more like a novella just like book one.
