There are three things I know about New York so far: everybody is late for something, nobody has a freakin’ clue what sweet tea is, and King Kong himself is still alive and well and has taken the form of a growly blacksmith named Mac.
This book was freaking awesome! From quotes shared from Cookie Rutledge to Poppy James herself I couldn’t stop laughing. This author is a genius.
Poppy has the chance to land the job of her dreams but it means moving away from Savannah Georgia and her family. On the plus side she will also get a break from Bobby Lee.
Moving to New York is a dream come true and once she stumble upon Mac her heart is home. Mac is a man’s man and a man of few words but he melts Poppy with just a look.
This story is a good lesson in Karma and family. Puppy’s character is quirky and cute and Murphys Law definitely applies to her. I loved all of the laughter but also the warm fuzzies that came with this book.
I will definitely be stalking this author and you should too.

Game Changer has all three components of a 5-star romcom: Humor, heat, and heart. Poppy is adorably awkward and Mac, AKA Angus, is a growly, sexy alpha. Together, they’re absolutely perfect for one another. This story had more angst than I was expecting going into it, but I think that only added to its greatness. The Cookie-isms were fantastic! I loved every moment of this book and highly recommend it.

Game Changer
By: Sylvie Stewart
5 out of 5 stars
The story Game Changer by Sylvie Stewart is a book that I loved reading. It pulls you in from the beginning and doesn’t let you go until the final page. The storyline is humorous at times as well as emotional. I loved reading about the main characters. She is working hard to secure her dream job. She is intelligent, strong, and independent. Mac is a man that she at times finds confusing. What does the future hold for her? Read this book to find out. This is a story that is entertaining and fun to read. The book has romantic scenes that make the temperature in the room rise. I couldn’t help but care for the main characters and wish for them to find happiness. I enjoyed the bantering/interactions that goes on between the characters. This is a story that you won’t want to put down until the end. I would highly recommend reading it.

I have always known about Southern Belle’s, with their charm and sweetness about them. But then I met Poppy and everything changed. Poppy is not that typical southern gal. She has spunk, and sass. She brought humor to the story like I did not expect. Mac is that alpha who is always distant and with little words. These two are as opposite as you can get, yet the chemistry was strong between them. The banter between them had me laughing out loud.
Meg Price was a great Poppy. She had that southern twang when Poppy slipped it out. Meg brought Poppy to life and made her easy to relate to . Meg really brought out the spunk in Poppy. Meg had a great voice for Mac too. It was easy to determine who was speaking. Meg has an easy to listen to voice. Overall, the narration really enhanced the story.

What a fun, heartfelt, slow-burn romance! Mack and Poppy are complete opposites. Poppy is a lively, sassy southern belle and Mack is a surly, brusque, alpha with a heart of gold. Poppy has moved to New York to take her dream job in publishing, and Mack is a local talented blacksmith. I love their witty banter and their awkward and hilarious encounters. They really have a sweet connection that is so endearing and a chemistry that really sizzles! They help each other professionally at first, but the big apple has rules of it’s own, and could end up break their hearts instead. Meg Price was fantastic bringing this delightful story to life. She easily brought out the many different personalities of each character and her inflections were spot on, especially during Poppy’s hilarious inner dialog. I really enjoyed this entertaining and sizzling romance!

I thought the characters were cute and the storyline got more complex throughout the book, which I really liked. I would have liked to give it 4.5 stars. I loved the creative similes. They added humor to the story and illustrated the events or feelings in greater detail.
I listened to the Audible version. This is the first time I’ve listened to something narrated by Meg Price. She did a great job bringing emotion (or stoicism in the case of Mac) to the characters.

I am so glad I picked up this book from this new-to-me author! I can tell you she found a reader in me! If you haven’t had the pleasure, I suggest you indulge.
I really enjoyed these characters. They were pretty unique, just like their story. From their quirks, to their secrets, to their attraction, to their chance meetings, I was completely engulfed in this story.
I can honestly say I laughed. I swooned. I got angry. I was happy. I was up and down alongside these characters on their push and pull, steamy ride. I enjoyed every last bit of it!
What else can I say? I am looking forward to more journeys with this author’s characters.

Who knew that I would learn to love Sweet Tea?
I am always looking for a book that is a breath of fresh air. I find a lot that I really enjoy but rarely do I find one where I truly lose myself in the magic. This was one of those ones that I can say mesmerized me. It couldn’t have happened at a better time, considering I finished it well into the wee hours of my birthday. To discover a book that truly reinforces why I love to read is truly one of the best gifts that I could ever ask for.
From the first chapter, I fell in love with Poppy and all of her Southern charm. I could just picture her as a Reese Witherspoon character (Combine Legally Blonde and Sweet Home Alabama) and that made it even more perfect. She was infectious and genuine and ever so sassy. Her naivete was touching as it was hilarious. Her intentions were pure even if she had no idea how different things would be in a big city like New York. Her inner monologues with herself were so funny. I cannot count the number of times that I laughed out loud. I am generally not a huge highlight person when I read (largely because getting my degree in literature almost killed me annotating everything), however, this book I had so many laugh out loud moments or sweet moments that I had to change that. Her connection with” King Kong” didn’t stand a chance. Mac. Sweet Lord. This godsend of a man. He might not have said much with his words but what he did say and do with his actions was HOT. Together these two were delightful.
Add in funny side characters from the South and this book became the best birthday present ever. Were there a few things that didn’t seem plausible. Absolutely, but did I look past them because the book was that good? ABSOFREAKINGLUTLY. For me, just having a book hit all the feels and leaving a mark on me is a sign of a good book. Bravo, to this author. You just made me a fan.

Game Changer by Sylvie Stewart. I have read many many books by this author and I have loved every one of them. I knew this one would be no different. I love Poppy and Mac. I enjoyed how she broke though his rough and tough exterior. There were plenty of times that I wanted to jump into the book and smack the daylights out of Mac. At first he comes off very rough and mean but in actuality, he is just very guarded. I could not put this book down once I started it. I can not wait to see what else Ms. Stewart has for us…. I am hoping for Iris’ book……

Game Changer is the newest romantic comedy from Sylvie Stewart, and holy hotness is about the best way to put into words how I felt after reading this book. I adored Poppy and Mac. Poppy is the sweet and sassy southern red head that finds herself transplanted right into the hustle and bustle of New York City life. Mac is quite possibly the strong opposite to Poppy. He’s a quiet and withdrawn, and often growly alpha male. He truly is balanced whenever Poppy is around. Both of their personalities shine in both the comedic relief and steamy scenes. Sylvie Stewart once again drew me in those first few pages so intently that it was next to impossible to be able to put this book down. I found myself reading well past my bedtime to find out how this book would come to a culmination. I am not even one bit sorry for the grumpy mood that ensued the next day from lack of sleep lol. Well worth every moment spent laughing and swooning with Poppy and Mac! I can’t wait to get my hands on the next book by the ever talented Sylvie Stewart!

Game Changer by Sylvie Stewart
5 +++++ Stars
I loved this book so so so much, I met Poppy in Rule Breaker by Phoebe Alexander which if you haven’t read go grab that as soon as possible, the two books work well with each other. Poppy is now one of my favorite female leads. She cracked me up half the time with her inner dialogue and when she was talking directly to me.
Sylvie has a way of grabbing you at the very beginning and slowly transporting you into the story where you forget that anything else is going on around you.
This book had it all and Poppy and Mac had quite a journey, ups and downs and definitely the slow burn the author tells you to expect before beginning. Mac is every girls dream and I fell in love with him immediately, even when he scared me as much as he scared Poppy.
Not going in to the storyline…Just know you need to read this book, it was completely awesome and I know I will read it again in the future.
Can’t wait for the next book I pick up by this author, an automatic one click for me.

An entertaining story with a whole gamut of emotions. I laughed, I cried, I got angry and frustrated. Mac was a behemoth with such a gentle side and Poppy was a motormouth from the South who tried to pretend she was someone else. A satisfying Happily Ever After.

So good. So so good. I was completely prepared not to like this character who was so worried about her appearance and how she is viewed by others. But then her Southern reared up and she became so endearing. And seriously, who doesn’t love a man who communicates through his eyebrows and grunts but holds your hand walking down the street. Yum! Sylvie Stewart certainly has a way of bringing her characters to life and giving her readers a great escape into romance with new fictional friends. Go read it. You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, you’ll want sweet tea.

What could possibly go wrong when sweet southern sass arrives in the big city? The story of Poppy and Mac have everything a girl could ask for in a great book. Characters you would love to be friends with, a story you wish you were part of, and of course a hot guy that makes you wishes you were the female lead. Sylvie Stewart once again delivers an awesome book!

GAME CHANGER, has a sense of humor about itself that I found myself highlighting line after line. There are so many elements that are my favorites… Humor, great friends, loving family, a hot guy and a visit to MOMA.
