Becca, an American in Britain searching for the right horse. She meets Austin Heath who owns the perfect horse. The author provided some world building and character development. The beginning of the story was a bit slow for me but stay with it as it soon takes off into a delicious mystery thriller with some twists and turns along the way.

Gambler’s Choice by Laura Nightingale is a wonderful contemporary romance. In this book, Becca McQuaid is visiting England to look for the perfect horse to purchase. While attending an equestrian riding event she spots a gorgeous horse named Gambler’s Choice being ridden by his handsome owner Baron Austen Heath. After seeing Gambler’s Choice, Becca sets her heart on trying to talk Austen into selling her the horse. Before Becca tries to approach about purchasing Gambler’s Choice from Austen he is involved in an accident that could end his riding career forever. Becca decides to take care of him because he has no one else and this is the beginning of their friendship that eventually turns into a romance. This book is full of romance and a mysterious death that needs to be solved before Heath is imprisoned for a murder he didn’t commit. If you enjoy a great story with plenty of romantic suspense, you will love this book as much as I do. Gambler’s Choice is full of mystery, suspense, and romance.

Off to England looking for a horse.
I started this book way too late I could not put it down so kind of dragging this afternoon. The writing is so well done with such a well-developed plot this was a page-turner! The mystery and suspense, the ghosts will keep you wondering what will happen next. I have one more book of Ms. Nightingale’s to read and I cannot wait to start it. I loved the book! I did receive a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.
