Bennett hasn’t made his move, but that’s about to change.Bennett Walker visits my bakery daily. His best friend is dating my best friend. There’s no getting rid of him now. A shared hello or a nod of the head is all that passes between us each morning as I pour his coffee. What I don’t know is that Bennett has a secret. A big one. And everyone’s secrets come out eventually.Pelican Bay is full of … come out eventually.
Pelican Bay is full of surprises. Some of them have been more wonderful than I could ever ask, but others are far more than I bargained for. All I wanted was a cute little bakery by the bay. Now my building is in the line of fire, and there’s a hot former SEAL who refuses to let me save myself.

Second book in the Pelican Bay Security series and it does not disappoint. Bennett is a heart throb and Nessa is the bakery owner he has his eye on. Intrigue, suspense, surprises, laughter. This book is fabulous. Has it all

For a fairly shorter-than-I’m-used-to book, this had everything necessary for a great read! It had strong, lovable characters, drama, action and angst. I received this book as an ARC and am voluntarily leaving my honest review.
Entertaining characters and a good story line make this a nice read and a great addition to this series.

This book is about a young woman named Anessa who owns a bakery. She has a regular customer, a former SEAL named Bennett, and they have become attracted to each other. One day Anessa finds a TON of money in a hole in the wall behind the stove in her kitchen. It turns out that the previous renter was a drug dealer. All sorts of suspenseful events happen when the drug dealer returns for his money. The store gets attacked, Anessa gets attacked and kidnapped. Bennett has to protect Anessa through all the scary events as their love grows. It’s a great romantic suspense book and I highly recommend it!

Loved this book. There is plenty of action, heat, very funny in places and a cute little boy. Anessa owns a bakery, well she rents the building, but what she finds in the wall of her bakery causes her some problems. Bennett likes her and he wants to get to know her better, but everytime he turns around she’s in trouble. Plus she OCD about cleanliness. Entertaining to read to say the least. HEA
