The gripping conclusion of the bestselling Fire and Ice Trilogy!I’d thought the threat from Seattle was finished. That we showed up in time and took care of business.I hate being wrong. It really ruins my day. When Roger, the alpha of the North American pack, shows up at my door with the news that a demon has made it to the Underworld with knowledge of me, some hard decisions have to be made.Do I … hard decisions have to be made.
Do I stay above ground, with all my magical friends, and wait for the battle to come to me? Or do I seek the demon out, and pluck the threat out by the root?
I don’t want my friends to die on my behalf. I could never life with myself. But if I venture into the Underworld, it’ll be the most perilous journey of my life.
This time, it isn’t just my life hanging in the balance, it is my eternity.

This is Book 3 and the series final and it did not let me down. I would add Suspensefol and Thrilling to thosr keywords. The excitement, adventure, and steamy romance were all there, a little more intensely, and we see our two main characters’ relationship take an eye brow raising turn.
Breene is able to make the world of magic and the world as we know it co-exist in a way that makes it feel normal and the characters wonderfully brave and believable, though not the type you want to run into after dark. The highlight of this book was the journey to the Undetworld…..FINALLY….taken by the main character with her maon man in tow…..and I thought their trip through the Realm was a trip!
The Underworld is not at all what we think…yet it is. Breene artfully wove her perspective with that.of fiction and mythology…definitely not a place to visit but one to brave if you have to. She makes an interesting distinction between hell and the underworld that makes the latter seem more like Pergatory….on steroids. You feel it just might be real as she so vividly describes each level and the nasty beings encountered by the two primary characters; one of whom is half demon and half humanish, quite a talented lady to boot, and the other a 1000 year old elder vampire who is quite debonair and appropiately referred to as a pant melter. Note that this young lady can hold her own in a fight….and can back up her swagger with the biggest demon….or any other bully. And she calls Lucifer Dad., and yes he is an absentee father, something he may want to change…
I read this book in a few hours. I wanted to know what happens at the end only to find a great segway into the Natural Witch series. All the characters from this find their way inro NW series as we discover more about each, meet new characters and become more engrossed in this topsy turvy world. So buckle up for another ride!
Darius is becoming more and more dependent on Reagan in this latest book in the Fire and Ice Trilogy. Reagan, though she will never admit it, feels the same about him. When an underworld war becomes imminent they must make that dependency even stronger by doing the unthinkable… they need to form an illegal bond in order to get Darius into the underworld and stop a demon from letting Reagan’s father know that she exists. What ensues is an epic adventure fit for the movies. As usual there are plenty of movie references, quirky characters, Reagan’s special brand of crazy & humor not to mention battles to the death. Darius is the perfect counter balance to Reagan and her fast and loose style, ying and yang. Both Darius and Reagan are coming in to their own. He with his humanity and she with her power and this story is explosive in all the right ways!
This is by far my favorite K.F. Breene series. The magical world she has created, the characters, the adventure and the amazingly inappropriate lines at all the wrong times it all comes together to make this a fun, exciting, must read series. The sexual energy, chemistry and dynamic between Reagan and Darius adds even more layers and their own brand of hotness. All the characters are well thought out and bring their own uniqueness to the story line. Basically this series has everything except the one thing I need…more books! Sadly this is the last installment of this series and I am heartbroken. I need more of Reagan, Darius, Dizzy, Callie, Penny, Roger, Red and even Moss. There are way too many more adventures that need to take place to put an end to it all now!
Please hear my plea and don’t stop this at three books!!!! PLEASE!!!
Reagan Somerset is one of my favorite characters. She’s strong, sarcastic, an adrenaline junky, and loyal to her friends. She’s one of a kind, half-human, half something very special that she’s trying hard to hide. The action and story telling are great and the characters are interesting and likeable. This is the third book in the Fire and Ice trilogy and I truly hated to see it end. I’m already reading it over again and am looking for more from this author.
The main characters Reagan and Darius take center stage while Reagan charges into danger headfirst as usual. Only this time there’s no time to breathe as this book has one speed, full speed ahead. There is the usual snarky comments and plenty of action and danger. It almost doesn’t feel like an ending even though this is the end of a trilogy. Seems to be too much unanswered, or a left hanging sort of feel.
I’m a sucker for a hot vampire hero and a kick-ass heroine, which is why I love Darius and Reagan together. Not only is the couple great and sparks fly, but the two witches (a married couple) are wonderfully written. This is Book 3 of a three-book series, and I enjoyed all three.
Well Said! But please make it 10,000 characters or fewer.
Okay then…
I would recommend this 4-star fantasy about Reagan Somerset to those who enjoy paranormal romance, humor, and world building that includes nearly all things rumored to exist from Tolkien to Rowling. The Fire and Ice Trilogy is for those who may like werebadgers, werewolves, and vampires, including powerful elder vampires like Vlad and Darius.
If Ms. Breene’s Fire and Ice world were on TV it would blend X-files, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them with Portland’s detective Nick Burkhardt, one of the last Grimm’s to confront the wild “Wessen” of Portland Oregon.
No offense to the cameo appearances of minor species like unicorns, dragons, T-Rex, or beloved evil clown demons. You may be surprised to find common goats and llama grazing unconcerned in the hallucinogenic wilds of hell, however.

What a journey! Reagan and Darius drive you through a story of discovery, love, battles, but above all of confidence. And partnerships. As always, K.F. Breene presents us to new worlds and creatures beautifully painted throughout the narrative and gives the need to have more of it. A breathtaking story.
There is nothing better than a strong, wisecracking woman as a tough female lead character in an Urban Fantasy/Romance! The Fire and Ice trilogy was well worth the time and money. Reagan is terrific and Darius, the Vampire Elder who becomes more than her lover, along with a great supporting cast of character made this one of the funniest and well written series in the genre.
Still a great book, but slightly disappointing. The story is mainly about Reagan and Darius entering the underworld to make sure that the demons don’t find out about her existence. Darius doesn’t quite shine here and sort of takes a back seat in this 3rd book.
I was looking forward to a different plot and storyline. Maybe something about the other vampire that Reagan had a short relationship with.
Anyways, all I can hope for is another book about Reagan and Darius. Things just feel a bit unfinished.
The third book in this Fire and Ice Trilogy, and I sincerely hope not the last, as there is definitely scope for another book from this, or a spin off series, lets hope!!
This has been an epic series from KF Breene!! I have loved every minute of it, and this book is no exception. Set in a fantastically descriptive world, so much so that you can actually see it all going on in your minds eye, playing along like a movie! Fast paced, thrilling, action packed, emotionally charged – from laugh out loud funny to highly strung sexual tension!! A real page turner, I was unable to put it down til I’d finished, and then I was sorry it was done and could have carried on reading so much more!! Brilliant characters and fantastic plots, you have it all with this series!!
Kallie is struggling to get both sides of her fire and ice magic working in sync unless severely threatened, and then its out of control and she wants to kill everything in sight!! Darius, Callie and Dizzy are trying to help as best they can, but think a demon may be required to help where they can’t. But a war is about to start, demons are massing, and Kallie is trying her best to keep her identity unknown from her father, Lucifer. So Kallie must decide if she lets the war come to her, possibly destroying everything she loves, or if she goes to them in the Underworld, whilst her magic is still not working right. Darius of course is not letting her go anywhere on her own, his love and desire growing daily for her, but in order to go with her they must be bonded, which means Kallie facing her fears of being tied to an elder vampire for eternity, and recognising her growing feelings for Darius also.
Kallie is back with her own special brand of crazy, with her movie theme quotes, and her bad ass self dealing out lots of whoop-ass left right and centre. I love her, with her sass and magic abilities, nothing stands in her way!! The relationship between her and Darius grows massively in this one, with the hot sexual tension nearly melting the pages, especially with the bonding – whew!! Darius and Kallie are like yin and yang, matching so well together, he will do anything to protect her, even dying if necessary.
A brilliant read, highly recommended for any PNR lovers out there, you won’t be disappointed!! Personally I can’t wait for more from KF Breene, her writing is just epic, able to transport you to another world in the blink of an eye. Fabulous!!
this was the first I read in her books, and I love it! Made me willing to read the entire series thus far about Reagan. Highly recommended!
Awesome book and series! A must read! This author really knows how to tell a story.
Loved It, An Unmissable Conclusion … For Now!
All Of The Stars.
Fused in Fire (Demon Days, Vampire Nights World Book 3)
I loved this trilogy & this finale book lived up to the first two by far!! This story took our heroine & hero into the underworld to protect her identity. It’s what we’ve all been waiting for, well that & also seeing if they’d bond – Lucifer & if we’d find out what Vlad is up to. The answers are all in this story!!
Cassie & Dizzy aren’t in this one as much, but they do make an impact when they are. Lol The sexy shifter Alpha makes a couple of appearances which are very interesting. The Underworld becomes like a Character unto itself, it’s fascinating, violent, beautiful & scary!!
The Author very kindly at the end of this trilogy, states that other books from the same ‘World’ will be coming! It seems like Penny & more will be featuring & so we will be seeing these beloved characters down the line possibly in their future’s as well as in crossover timelines?! (I love this idea as I’m a huge fan of Dannika Dark’s Mageri, Seven & Crossbreed Series)
I 100% recommend this book & trilogy. I’ve yet to read a book by this author that I haven’t loved!!

Fused in Fire is the third book in the Raised In Fire trilogy and picks up right where the last book leaves off. To get a sound understanding of the world and characters in this series I recommend reading the books in order. Reagan is my girl, she is a kick ar$e, bad a$$, take no prisoners, give no apologies kind of gal. Darius, is the good looking, gets what he wants kind of vampire that most can’t resist and together they make a good team. This story is quick paced story but a great read. There is laughs and humour, battles to be fought, magic to be tamed and a bunch of characters you just can’t help but love.
I love how original Breene’s characters are, from the heroine’s neighbors to the main characters themselves. I got so invested in these people! This was a great book that explores more of the heroines origins, and was a great endcap to a fun series. I know the author said she feels like their story is told, but I would love to see more from them. A novella about their HEA? Do they ever have children? Does Vlad get his comeuppance?? What’s the deal with Penny? Inquiring minds .want. .to. .know!
