Shot and left for dead, shapeshifter Jack needs to find out who wants him out of the picture… preferably before the sexy veterinary tech he kidnapped manages to escape again.Louisa moved to Raven Falls to make a better life for herself. But “better” isn’t working out so well. Her apartment is a dive, her boss might as well be possessed, and the sweet dog she brought home isn’t actually a dog. Not … home isn’t actually a dog. Not that the exceedingly attractive naked man in her bed isn’t a step up—but it would be nice if she knew who the hell he was… or how he got there.
Jack has always put his clan first and his desires second—until Louisa. Her dark curls and warm, vanilla scent ignite a fire within him that he can’t quite shake. Sure, he can transform into a seven-foot monster, but he deserves love as much as the next guy.
Knee-deep in a dangerous investigation, memories missing, and a bullet wound in his shoulder, Jack doesn’t have time to dawdle with a certain brunette… even if she is waving a baseball bat in his face.
Unless he takes her with him.
Kidnapped and pissed off, Louisa wants nothing to do with the sexy shifter and even less to do with his secret world of monsters and nightmares. But the longer she spends with Jack, the less she can deny the odd pull between them, or that he might just be the “better life” she was looking for all along.

In the doghouse
I think I just found my new favorite series! The author did an amazing job with this adventure. The characters are fantastic! I love how well developed and believable they are, and the emotions that I felt like they were my own. And I enjoyed the witty repartee between the characters, even the bad guys. It helped to lighten the mood when the story reached a super intense moment. By the end of the book I was completely invested in the characters, and in seeing what happens next. The story was so well written, with smooth transitions and danger and excitement at every turn, that I just couldn’t put it down until the very end. And with an epilogue like that, I can’t wait to see who finds their HEA next.
Furbidden Attraction: A Cursed Romance (Raven Falls Cursed Romances Book 1) by R. O’Leary
5-Stars
Furbidden Attraction is romantic and funny. This fast paced, easy to read novel, was delightful. I could not put this novel down. Louisa and Jack were creative and fun main characters. There were several instances where the two had me literally laughing out loud. The author did a magnificent job with those two and also a wonderful job on the supporting characters . The different settings were easy to visualize and I loved the variety of animal shifters. This is the first book of this series and I highly recommend it. I can’t wait to read more from this author with this series.
This paranormal shifter book was an enjoyable read. Some predictive plot developments and some unexpected twists. A very natural ebb and flow between the main characters. A good book to enjoy on a lazy afternoon. If you enjoy shifter romances, pick this one up.
I enjoyed this book. It is a paranormal shifter story that kept me turning pages until the end. I enjoyed how I was pulled into the story right from the beginning. The characters are creative and made the story come to life for me. Louisa and Jack are interesting together. She just wants to start new but the world she enters maybe not be what she thought. He just wants to be loved but not don’t think he is good enough for her. Will they find their HEA? I highly recommend their story.

I really enjoyed this book. It was whitty, sweet, sexy and humorous.
Louisa and Jack make such an interesting couple. She is very entertaining with her quick comebacks. Plus she is strong mentally which is huge considering what she goes through. I absoutely loved her! As far as Jack he was alright. He was affectionate and sweet until he decides Lousia would be better off without him. He learns his lesson though. (PS. I loved him more in is dog form)
I also loved that this book was action packed with many different types of “monsters.” Shapeshifters, ghouls, blight, witches and more make this story. It’s the first time I’ve read a shifter book that contains all of this. It was strange at first but I loved it.
I am excited for the next book in this series. I hope it’s full of action, drama and romance.
