The greatest love story ever told…in the Florida Everglades.RomeWhen sinister things start happening on Montreux land, there’s only one potential suspect…the Capshaw pack. Those slobbering, mangy cougar shifters are nothing but backstabbers and trouble makers. And now, they’ve taken things too far by targeting my pack. I’m willing to do anything to protect my family, even if it means taking on … protect my family, even if it means taking on the Capshaws. But when I see Jules Capshaw for the first time, all thoughts of revenge fly out the window. Who would have thought my greatest enemy would be my fated mate?
Jules
Rome Montreux is up to something. When he trespasses onto Capshaw land in the middle of the night, I know it’s with wicked intent. There can’t possibly be another reason for a Montreux to be here. But when he reappears at my birthday party, it’s not hatred or mistrust brewing between us—it’s the lust of two mates. The fact that he’s a panther and my sworn enemy doesn’t matter to my body. And once we are mated, all bets are off.
But something evil is afoot in Verona Forest, and it has nothing to do with the twenty year Capshaw/Montreux feud. There’s a bigger threat.
Can we band together to face the real enemy, or will we let past hatred rule the present?

What a twist on the classic Romeo and Juliet!! This is a quick and exciting novella that you will not want to miss.
What an unusual twist to the Shakespearean tale of Romeo and Juliet! I was hesitant at first with the paranormal story line but it did not take away from the story. If anything, it added so much more to it. Rome and Jules are leaders of their packs and are trying to keep their families safe. They happen to meet up one night while protecting their respective territories and discover that they are fated mates. What are they willing to do for each other and their packs? I really enjoyed reading their story.
Thank you for the privilege of reading this book! Well done
Amazing!!! I loved the classic story with a twist thrown in. This is a shifter story, usually not something I like to read, but I did enjoy this book. An amazing author can bring anything to life. Can’t wait to read more from this author.
Fur Verona a Paranormal Twist on Romeo and Juliet.
Rome Needed to watch the enemy up close.
Jules just wanted to have a great party.
Fate decided it was time true mates met.
A twist you don’t expect but everything you need.
Loved it

Fur Verona By Gywn McNamee
Fur Verona by Gywn McNamee is a paranormal/shifter romance book.Ive read several other books by this author and this one is definitely on my list of favorites. Where this normally isn’t the genre of books I’d read I’m finding myself reading more and more paranormal and loving it. As with any of Gwyn’s books you get hooked right off the bat and then you can’t put it down once you start reading. This story has a few twists and turns that had me sitting on the edge of my seat trying to figure out what happens next. I absolutely loved this twist on a classic Shakespeare. Get ready to be Wow’ed with this story.I highly recommended this book especially if you want to know what happens. I can’t wait to see what she has for us next.
Fur Verona
Gwyn McNamee
This is a short novel. Based on romance between two unlikely mates.
Jules Capshaw is the alpha in her pack. She is strong willed and very capable of taking care of herself, as well as her pack. When trouble continues to target her pack, she must find who and why. She must also stay away from Rome, from the other pack.
Rome Montreux, is the leader of his pack. While a feud has gone on for years, his goal is to stop the fighting between the two packs. Death has again struck his packland. He must find out who and why. In the meantime he must stay away from Jules and her pack.
Gwyn McNamee has pulled the feud between the Capshaw and the Montreux, to a new high. Such a fun and intense story to read. This is a real page turner, loaded with new twist and turns along the way. This story has become my new favorite by Gwyn McNamee.
A quick read with an interesting twist on Romeo and Juliet. Didn’t read Romeo and Juliet? That’s ok because this is a little different and a lot sexier. Fur Verona is a shifter remake with what starts out as a family feud but turns into something more.
While the ending leads you to believe all is well, it also leads you to believe there could be more to this adventure.
I enjoyed the characters of Rome and Jules. I loved how they knew they shouldn’t be together but figured out a plan to make it work. I think each of their packs had elder members who could not see past their own mistakes and their long-held hatred. I am interested in seeing if McNamee takes this group of characters further.
Definitely a one click story.
I love reading books of authors that have mastered multiple genres. Gwynn McNamee is a new to me author, I’ve read just one other book before Fur Verona and it was a fun, romantic comedy. I was curious to see what Gwynn McNamee had to offer in this short read and I really wasn’t disappointed.
I have always had a soft spot for Romeo and Juliet, embracing all adaptations but this story is truly unlike any modern day take I’ve read.
I have very little experience with shifter novels, the closest I’ve come is some shifter appearances in a popular vampire series I once read, this was a treat. I completely devoured this novella in one sitting, it has just about every element that keeps a reader hooked from beginning to end. I look forward to reading more from Gwynn McNamee.

Gwyn McNamee takes us for another great adventure with Fur Verona. A classic fairytale with a twist that will keep you entertained until the very end. Gwyn McNamee takes the tale of Romeo & Juliet and puts a unique spin on it that is fabulous!
Rome Montreux has grown up hating the Capshaw pack. It’s what he has always known. With strange happenings on Montreux land, he has no doubts about who the culprits are and he will do whatever it takes to protect his family.
Jules Capshaw catches Rome sneaking around Capshaw land and she knows he’s up to no good. She will do whatever is needed to make sure he does not cause harm to her pack. So what are these two to do when it becomes apparent that hatred is NOT the strongest emotion between them?
Gwyn McNamee again takes the reader on a whirlwind ride with this book. Action, romance and a bit of mystery keep the reader engaged and entertained throughout the book. Wonderfully rich characters and witty banter make the story easy to read. Yet another fantastic shifter romance book from Ms. McNamee! A quick read that will leave you wanting more!!

I really enjoy shifter romances. This one was packed with suspense, intrigue and war. The author put a paranormal twist on the classic tale of Romeo and Juliet and I think she did an awesome job. Rome and Jules, though sworn enemies, have intense chemistry. They immediately realize they are mates and the sex scenes are amazing. Both packs have been at each others’ throats for the past twenty years. Now they have to work together against a common enemy.
The writing is excellent and the story was well told. My only issue is that it was too short. Had the story been a little longer, there could have been a bigger build up of tension leading to an explosive and volatile war scene. Other than that, I really enjoyed it and would like to get to know some of the other characters better.
“Love is a smoke made with a fume of sighs.” ~William Shakespeare
Oh Mylanta Gwyn McNamee! I am beyond blown away with this novella! I will be blunt. Shifter romance is a no-go for me. Like zero, none nil, my favorite author ever went that direction and I couldn’t do it. But…. That said I love Gwyn’s work. Every single book I have read by her is a five star read, and I have read all of her published works. I debated long and hard with myself, and I kept up with the launch and pre-launch of this book, so I had time. Then I read some reviews as they came out, and well I decided I had to give it a go. Thus here we are, and I am struggling to find the right words to express how much this book blew me away.
This is the way to grasp readers into a new genera. We have the beautiful and classic tale of Romeo and Juliet being retold with a spin on it that makes sense because it is so beautifully done. The shifter romance, paranormal, twist that is introduced doesn’t overshadow the classic love story at the heart of the novel. This didn’t even come close to bordering on being bestiality that I feel was my issue with past shifter romance novels. Don’t worry though, this book is bursting with hot, steamy, and well… sweat drenching scenes. If you have a partner, or if not, a friend *wink wink* they are going to have to thank Gwyn McNamee by the time you finish this book!
Who doesn’t know Romeo and Juliet? Just about everyone, you learn about this particular play in school. It is the way you are introduced to Shakespeare and it is every person who loves romances, idea of unconditional love. Regardless of the tragedy at the end this was the epitome of what you wanted in a love story. I do believe Gwyn you lived up to the intense pressure of doing Shakespeare justice.
In Fur Verona, we have Jules Capshaw and Rome Montreux. For twenty-five years their families have been enemies, engaged in an impassioned feud. Each side feels like they have a valid ground to stand on in the feud. Eventually all battles come to an end eventually.
“Two households, both alike in dignity,
In fair Verona, where we lay our scene,
From ancient grudge break to new mutiny,
Where civil blood makes civil hands unclean.
From Froth the fatal loins of these two foes
A pair of star-cross’d lovers take their life;
Whole misadventured piteous overthrows
Do with their death bury their parents’ strife.”
Romeo and Juliet (1.1)
~ William Shakespeare
Rome Montreux cannot stand the Capshaw pack. It runs through the blood in his veins, and was bred into him from birth. It is not even a question to who is responsible for the things that have been happening on Montreux land. It is the Capshaws’ and he will stop at nothing to protect his pack from them. On a mission to do just that he sneaks into a party on Capshaw territory. Everything he knows is turned upside down when he lays eyes on the beautiful Jules Capshaw.
“No. I shake my head. It can’t be. I had envisioned someone much angrier, with warts maybe, or boils. But this woman… she is… breathtaking.”
“Something tight wraps around my chest and stills my heart at the same time it fills all the spaces in me I didn’t know were empty.”
“What is this? Why does it feel; like this man is… everything?”
“Her. Nothing and no one but her.”
There overwhelming feelings become too much to deny. The two realize that they have utterly and completely fallen in love with the other. There is still the problem of this impassioned feud between their families though. Will there ever be a day where they are able to love each other in public and be together forever? And there is the issue of the strange events that have been happening on their lands. When it brings danger to both sides can Rome and Jules figure out who is behind it before it is too late? This twist here was a nice way to add another dimension to this classic love story.
“I’m sorry it has to be this way, love.”
“Something I never thought possible. Something we thought was impossible. It won’t be easy. There will be a lot of angry people who won’t understand why we did what we did.”
I want more. No I NEED more. Please tell me this is something that we will get more of from Gwyn McNamee. Anyway, that is all I am giving away of that. Go give it a one-click and plan on hiding away for a few hours.
“The course of true love never did run smooth.”

I love me a good Shifter Romance and this one hits it right on the head. It’s short, sweet and to the point. This is a shifter take on the Shakespeare Romeo and Juliet story.
Rome and his pride live on half of Verona Forest. Jules lives on the other half. Their prides have been at war for over twenty years. Jules party brings her and Rome together and sparks fly. Can they be together even though the prides don’t get along?
I loved the idea of this story. The story drew me in from the beginning. The words flowed nicely and it was easy to read. The main two characters are strong and yet sweet. The secondary characters add a bit of turmoil and fun to the story.
This isn’t my first book by this author. But it is my first shifter book by her. It was nicely done and enjoyable! I would read more along this line from her.
Fur Verona by Gwyn McNamee is a fast paced quick and easy paranormal shifter romance novella. This story brings mystery and drama, love and angst, hatred and forgiveness. All this and more keep you guessing and turning page after page with a few surprise twists. Gwyn has once again woven her magic and proven her talent in writing which is addictive and all encompassing. Her word building and character development makes for one sexy and explosive story.
Fur Verona is Gwyn McNamee’s spin on Shakespeare’s classic, Romeo and Juliet. It took me no time at all to read and I completely enjoyed the tale. The characters were sassy and sexy, and the story was fast paced and always exciting. Tension was always present and this author continuously delivered a dramatic love story with a difference. Rome was a brilliant alpha and Jules was his perfect mate. They complimented each other effortlessly and together they reigned over the impossible. This is a perfect short story. 5 stars.
Fur Verona is a standalone novel by Gwyn McNamee. This is my seventh novel by this author.
Jules Capshaw and Rome Montreux are from opposite pack families who have been feuding for the past twenty five years.
So when strange things start to happen around Verona Forest, the two families start to expect each other.
Rome infiltrates a party hoping to find evidence but instead meets Jules, and has an instant attraction to her, the feelings being denied by Jules at first reporicated.
The two lovers know that with the feud they won’t be able to be together. But there is more to worrying about when a new threat start to arise. Will they find out what started the feud twenty five years ago and finally be able to become allies?
As soon as I saw that Gwyn McNamee was writing a retelling of Romeo and Juliet, I jumped at it. I had to have it. Romeo and Juliet is my favorite play and I love any retelling or adaptation made from it.
I looked forward to reading all the changes and similarities that was written. No matter how many retellings I read, I will never get tired.
I enjoyed the new twist ending as well as making the characters shapeshifters.
I love anything this author writes and this novel in no different.

This is my fourth or fifth book by Ms. McNamee, and I have enjoyed them all. I love that she can jump to different genres and still have me hanging on every word.
This book features Rome and Jules, who are shifter’s and leader of their warring packs. The two families have been feuding for twenty-five years, so that makes this story more interesting and the discover they are fated mates.

5-star review
Fur Verona by Gwyn McNamee is a must read paranormal/shifter romance! I have never read a book by this author that I didn’t absolutely love, and this one was no different. This book is action-packed, fast-paced, intense, dreamy and so damn steamy, completely leaving me wanting more!! Unfortunately for me this was a shorter read, I was able to read it in one sitting as I just couldn’t bring myself to put it down. Even though it was a shorter read I found it to be perfectly detailed and well rounded, giving me all the feels!
I absolutely love this author’s take on a classic storyline, I would absolutely recommend this book and author to anyone looking for their next unforgettable read!!

This story is Gwyn McNamee’s version of Romeo and Juliet with a shapeshifter twist and some hot scenes. It actually has a quote from Romeo and Juliet at the beginning, which was a great way to begin. Gwyn McNamee has done fantastic work in her previous books, and this story is no exception! I feel that this story was well done, and I enjoyed reading it.
The main characters are Jules and Rome. Both are alphas in their packs. Both are tough, independent, great leaders, and completely in love with each. Together, they search for a threat that is dangerous to both packs. I loved the secondary characters of Rose, Paris, and Marc.
