fun little read
You may have a pet. More specifically, a cat, if you’re like me, you’ve wondered what is going through it’s mind as it looks at you or seems to be staring at absolutely nothing. Now, imagine if you could communicate with that cat telepathically. Got the picture? Now, add murder and witchcraft and you go a story that can go any number of directions. The author has managed to write an easy to read murder mystery with a couple of twists in it. I enjoyed this book just because it didn’t take a of of thinking while at the same time, held my interest.
Okay–so now I am looking for portals and trying to talk to the cats (even more than I did before). I want the cousins to gain in their witchcraft powers.
I have just finished a 1/2 dozen of Harper Lin’s books and was suitably impressed to read them all, one after the other. She does not write the same book twice and shows some interesting plot lines. I enjoyed them all for light reading and a quick getaway from the stresses of today’s living…
Lots of fun to read!
The cats, of course, are the real heroes of the book! I also have loved the setting, the town, and the cafe. A very pleasant read,
The perceived predator was thought to be extinct but it’s not. The Greenstone witches prevail after identifying the culprit.
Quick read and enertaining. Nothing special. Mainly read because of cats on cover.
This story is great for fans of the paranormal. Not the first in the series but the first I read, it was not difficult to follow the characters. The plot is interesting and the there are some tense action packed chapters.
A bit darker than I anticipated due to the crimes involving teens. However, most of the violence took place “off stage”.
A good read!
Liked the book, the characters ran the gambit and Aunt Astrid is a trip. I like the cousins who are really more like sisters, their group of supporters – friends and family and their familiars especially Treacle. Neat book, I will have to at least read the 1st in a the series to see how it started.
Fun book. Loved reading this book.
A good story, loved the special powers the characters had and interaction with being able to speak to cats, help others with their energy. I enjoyed enough that I will most likely buy another or two of this story line.
It had some interesting moments for the characters and was a different genre than what I usually read. Good book for taking a break from non-fiction.
Nice little story. I will read it again someday.
Very original especially with “talking” cats! I loved the storyline
It was a fun book to read! Told a few friends about it.
The author told the story well and kept it moving. My three-stars are because it was just a little too out there for me.
This is one in a series and some of the relationships don’t make sense without having read the other books in the series. However this one didn’t capture my interest enough to make me want to go back and read them.
