NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER • On the trail of a killer who cannot possibly exist … Jeremy Logan, the renowned “enigmalogist,” has often found himself in situations where keeping an open mind could mean the difference between life and death, and that has never been more true than now. When Logan travels to an isolated writers’ retreat deep in the Adirondacks to work on his book, he discovers … to work on his book, he discovers the remote community has been rocked by the grisly death of a hiker on Desolation Mountain. The attack occurred during the full moon and the body was severely mauled, but the unusual savagery calls into question the initial suspicions of a bear attack. Logan’s theories take a dramatic turn when he meets Laura Feverbridge, a respected scientist who is still struggling with the violent loss of her father months earlier. As Feverbridge shares her research with Logan, he begins to wonder whether he is actually up against something he can’t believe is real.

Very strange & somewhat gruesome. Curious combination of werewolves & enigmas. A bit too esoteric.
Found myself going back and getting all the previous books in the series! Loved this one and loved the rest.
As always, Lincoln Child knocks it out of the park. Absolutely LOVING the Jeremy Logan series!
Unforgettable
A terrific modern day penny dreadful.
Predictable but a character study of the protaganist.
Not my favorite of Child’s books but I enjoyed it.
Somewhat predictable, but a good read nonetheless.
Child’s stories are always a treat I look forward to.
Awful.
Great fun read if you like werewolf novels.
The writing is very professional and successful in establishing an apprehensive atmosphere. The main characters are well-draw. My biggest disappointment was feeling I’d already read a much better version of this storyline in Preston and Childs The Relic
This wrter, whether with part of the eam or alone,
Very interesting premise
Another winner!
This book is a worthy read, though predictable. I was hoping the author would surprise me, but it was the same old chestnut. Can’t fault the writing, though, and I happen to love werewolves. Definitely worth the time!
I have to say that I entered with anticipation of this book, and even though I enjoyed reading it and missing nothing from the story, it is still not the best book by Lincoln Child, I have ever read.
