Beth had held onto silence and grief until it broke her. In the middle of a concert onstage, singing a song that reminded her of her deceased wife, she could not find the words or music.
Beth had learned the hard way that not mourning and throwing herself into her work without acknowledging her love or her loss was destructive to her in a soul killing way.
In Alman she found a healing place, a home, and a chance at a new love and life.
One of the hardest lessons is that endings are beginnings too.
What happens when you need to escape the stage and bright lights because of a tragedy. Famous country singer and closeted lesbian winds up Iin a police station in a small town after crashing her car because she’s sleep deprived. Small town life is different nice bookshop owner offers her a place to stay because there aren’t any motels in town. She slowly adapts to small town life and hiding out from her ghosts. A romance slowly develops, and blossoms. The town used to have a music festival but the its us slowly dying. There are subplots including a nefarious character causin the town to die and a romance growing. This was a fun and sweet read that I couldn’t put down. I read it in two days straight when I should’ve been doing something else,. I can’t wait for the next novel in the series!. Spoiler alert there is an HEA

Beth is a true Wednesday child. She is full of woe. The guilt and anger she feels over her lost is understanding but dealing with it is another issue. It’s hard to accept and move on. This story is beautifully written. You can feel the raw emotion of the characters. I would like to have learned a little more about Skye’s history. The towns people made for great supporting characters. I look forward to reading more books in this series.

So-so
Beth Harmony Grey is a country music star with a broken heart. After running off during a concert and crashing her car, she finds herself in the tiny town of Alman where no one seems to know who she is and she can finally breathe. Sky is a sweet woman with a heart of gold with her own pain and a few secrets of her own. Alman is a dying town and Sky offers Beth a place to stay while her car if fixed. Beth falls in love with the town and with Sky comes up with a way to save the town. Soon enough the women are drawn to each other but will they be able to overcome the pain in their lives or will the past haunt them forever…
This book was ok. It wasn’t great but not horrible either. I liked the characters and the homey feeling of the town but nothing really stood out in the book. There was no emotional connect for me and I became rather bored…
Harmony froze then broke allowing Beth to break free and deal with the aftermath of her grief.
Harmony Grace is the voice that fans know and love. She is the “straight” voice that everyone knows. The reality is a woman named Beth whose wife died a year ago in a freak accident who never took the time to grieve. Then one day on stage the two worlds collided in the middle of a song and they both ran.
Running takes Beth and her wife’s ghost Cara to Allman where she crashes her car. Luckily for Beth, she landed in a small town with a big heart. Lily feeds her. Skye takes her in. And Cara pushes her to move on.
Can you move on if you don’t want to let go? Even if you have love standing right in front of you?
It has been awhile since I have read a Sierra Waters book and I forgot how she can just pull your heartstrings. Full of Woe (B07ZN1WG2K, 2020) is just as much about dealing with loss as it is about falling in love again.
Beth must deal with forgiving herself. Allowing herself to be angry with Cara for dying and acknowledging that it is okay. She must allow herself to just grieve. Beth also learns how to be something else for another person. Instead playing the role she did with her wife, in her newest relationship her role is different. Instead of comparing the two, she learns to accept and roll with life’s surprises.
Waters brings to very human women together who have their severe emotional baggage who decide to fight for their own lives and then for each other. It is a beautiful love story, one that I think everyone will enjoy.
I received an ARC of this book and I am writing a review without prejudice and voluntarily
We all have our ways of overcoming grief, well the main character Beth deals with it in her own way and sometimes we have to experience things in our loves to become stronger. This story is full of loss and love and it holds a special place in my heart. I am glad I got to experience this book firsthand and I highly recommend it for anyone dealing with loss and how to overcome it.
