Impulsive and Obsessive. Two words people use to describe me. What does that mean?I impulsively jump into hobbies and get…obsessed. Rock climbing. Bungee jumping. You name it. Why? Because I need to keep the glass full. There’s no time for romance or sticky relationships. It’s just not who I am. -Perrin MichaelsBitter and Broken. Two words everyone uses to describe me. What does that mean? I’m … words everyone uses to describe me.
What does that mean?
I’m fucking broken and bitter over it… Leave me alone.
War vet. Life failure. You name it.
Why?
Because I don’t fit in here anymore.
I don’t want to care about someone else when I’m stuck.
It’s just not who I am.
-Emiliano Espocito
Can two people really heal each other, or does it only work one way?

This book is amazing!! It has a perfect mix of heart, heat, and humor and will give you all the feels! I laughed, cried, swooned, cringed, cheered, sighed and more. When the MCs (Perrin and Emil) are first introduced they seem like complete opposites, the only thing thing linking them is a nosy old man and Bachata. As the book progresses you get to see how good they are for each other and watch them go from strangers, to unlikely friends, to lovers (the barn scene…holy hotness Batman!!), to soulmates. You can’t help rooting for them, even if they both needed a kick in the butt once or twice. The secondary characters are wonderful as well and add a lot of depth to the story. I can’t wait to read some of their stories!
This is a definite 5 star read for me. It’s beautifully written, the characters are engaging, perfect balance of serious and heartbreaking to lighthearted and funny, and it involves sexy shoes and sexier dancing with hot Latin men, what’s not to love?!
Every once in awhile, you will find that one book that will creep up on you and next thing you know, you are so hooked in the story that you didn’t want to put it down? This was what happened to me with this one.
The story follows two individuals who couldn’t be more opposite: Emil, a war veteran who fights his demons in the daily and Perrin, an adrenaline junkie who avoids any emotional situations. Two opposite people, one fated encounter. Will the saying “opposites attract” be enough to overcome their differences?
Full Glasses and Burju Shoes is a tale of love, friendship and celebration of life; of trying to “fill your glass full” by finding things to motivate you to live your life to the fullest. This book will hit you right in the feels: it will make you laugh, cry and most of all, believe in the power of love.
Blake blessing.. Holy crap.. What can I say about this book.. I love it.. I also had my mind blown with the after effects the soldiers may have from war and how PTSD can’t take lives.. And a relationship between the MCs.. That work towards a successful coupling.. It also touches base on suicide and the impact it has in others.. Which from experience was pretty on point..
This book has quickly become one of my favorite books ever and I am eagerly awaiting it to become available in paperback because I need this in my little home library.
I loved watching the journey of two completely different individuals and their reactions and choices and adventures they encounter from the moment their paths cross. I have never heard of Bachata dancing but now I really want to try it. The message in this book to “always keep your glasses full” has so much more meaning than just part of the book’s title; it’s going to quickly become one of your main mantras in life. This book is full of fun, laughter, adventure, tears, romance, friendship, steam, and everything else you could ever want.
This is only the second book by this author and her ability to successfully write across different genres shows just how truly talented she is. This book will pull you in and makes you feel things, then rip your heart out and sew the pieces back together again. This book drew a literal tear from me, and I am just left wanting more. More from the main characters, more from the secondary characters, just more from this author in general. I never knew a contemporary book could evoke this much love from me. Once you read this, you are going to want to become a friendly stalker and preorder every book she ever writes from here on out. I’m wanting to plan a reread because I miss these characters already.
I love the authors voice and her writing style. I give this book all the stars!
Full Glasses and Burju Shoes is a story that several people can relate to. While Perrin and Emil don’t have a normal relationship by any means, they have a type of relationship that you could find in the every day life. They don’t shy away from making the gentle jabs that could easily been see with any modern couple. Their story is a constant page turner. Following along in their story, allows the reader to experience the best highs, but also some of the darkest lows. Blake Blessing wrote a story that will be read over and over.
