I am so impressed with Fiona Quinn‘s creativity. Having the first novel of each of her series combined into one box set is positively brilliant. Not only did I get a good taste of this author’s writing, I am completely hooked and anxious to read every series she has written.
I won’t bog down potential readers with a synopsis of each story. Instead, I’d rather focus on Fiona Quinn’s style. With richly drawn characters who lure you into their mystery on page one, villains you love to hate, blockbuster plots, twists and turns, and edge of your seat, nail biting suspense, you’ll be convinced you found a new favorite series… until you read the next story in this thrilling box set.
Treat yourself with a gift that keeps on giving. If you love mystery, suspense, thrillers, and romance, with great characters you won’t want to leave behind, then I highly recommend Fiona Quinn’s Full Force: First Novels from the World of Iniquus. Intrigue, psychics, stalkers, romance, military, government, espionage, the list goes on. Just try one story and you’ll be hooked, too.
Awesome! Awesome!! AWESOME!!!!!! I often find myself musing about the Iniquus world ~ maybe too often! These books are truly fabulous! !
The only reason it gets four stars is due to the second story. There were a lot of errors. Still, looking for entertainment? You won’t be disappointed.
this is another group of good stories. I like Lynx the best but all are good . if you like suspense and romance that is steamy then you will want to read the books
Weakest Lynx (Lynx #1)
I started reading in this world roughly in the middle. That means that some of these characters are a little bit familiar to me, but now I realize just how much I didn’t now. This story sucked me in from the very beginning. I was easily caught up in Lexi’s predicament and swept away with her in the events that transpire. The flurry of events surrounding the ending left me gasping for breath and desperate to know what happens next.
Wasp (Uncommon Enemies #1)
In Too Deep (Strike Force #1)
Mine (Kate Hamilton #1)
A small town with a sinister twist and a soap opera’s worth of personal drama. I don’t even really know what to say about the story. I adored it, but that feels like I’m damning it with faint praise. Kate is such an amazing character. She’s brilliant while still being down-to-earth. She represents every one of us who’ve sat at home watching or reading crime dramas wondering what it would be like to be in the thick of it. Turns out it’s both not nearly as exciting as we’d like to think and so much more terrifying than you’d expect. I can’t wait to read more about Kate.
Open Secret (FBI Joint Task Force #1)
In spite of the amount of time I spend reading books, I’m totally a movie girl when it comes to imagery. And in that vein, this story felt like an unholy cross between Live Free or Die Hard and there were some moments that I felt were channelling The Purge. Now these are not two movies I’ve ever thought of in the same sentence before, but they have the right concepts to match the terror-inducing plot the author has created with this book. The reason I find it so terror inducing? I can’t prove that any of this isn’t happening at this very moment. I’m going to go put on my tinfoil hat now and find a small, lead-lined casket for my cell phone… Or maybe a large one to hold all my electronic devices.
This book set contains the first book in the different series Ms Quinn writes. I have a warning for you…once you start reading these books, you won’t be able to stop. They are action packed, make you think and scare you because you know this could and does happen. There is a reading order for the books and I would advise following that. It’s printed in each of the books. Here are my reviews of each of the books except Open Secret. Life and obligations to read other books has gotten in the way but it is downloaded on my Kindle app and waiting for me.
The Weakest Lynx
This is a really good book. It is action packed and full of suspense. Striker and the men of Iniquus try to keep Lexi safe from a serial killer after she is stalked for 8 months and then brutally attacked. Lexi has ESP and other abilities that have been taught to her secretly by another member of Iniquus and uses her talents to help solve cases while the men work to find her tormentor. This book will definitely keep you entertained.
WASP
I’m loving these Iniquus books. We get a look into the Panther Force In this one. Gage Harrison has interviewed to be on the Panther Force with Titus as team leader. His girlfriend is Dr Zoe Keahola, a scientist working with DARPA. Gage kills two highly trained assumed dead Mossad agents who were trying to kidnap Zoe and now her life is in danger. The men from Panther Force along with Gage, who sign their offer of employment, try to figure out who is trying to hurt Zoe. The suspects include a Senator, the CIA, a General who has known Zoe her whole life and is her boss, the company that rents her lab space or Mossad. This book is full of action and suspense and will keep you posted turning the page when you should be sleeping.
In Too Deep
This is another great addition to the Iniquus Series. Deep met Lacey at a museum when he was working on a case with Lynx and feel in instant like. She however, was dating someone. he leaves her his card in case she changes her mind. Now months later Lacey is in “deep” trouble…like people trying to kill her trouble. She has been thinking of him since the meeting and now calls and gets his answering service at Iniquus. He gets to a press conference her lawyer has called in time to save her from an sniper’s bullet. He gets her away into hiding at Lynx’s house and they try to figure out who is trying to kill her. We have the FBI, CIA, 2 warring crime families from other countries, a mysterious death, action, suspense and two people falling in love.
Mine
I loved this book. Coming from a small town I can say T-shirt author got everything right about the gossip, rumors and nosiness. Kate returns to her hometown in time for her uncle’s funeral and her internship as a CSI with the local police. The detective she works with happens to work with is her high school sweetheart, Tim. Her husband in Boston asked her to leave while he tries to get help with his PTSD. As soon as Kate shows up, people start dying and she and Tim try to find who is responsible.
Open Secret
Ms Quinn has written a book that’s a little too close to real for comfort. I was having a discussion with my nephew last week about violent video games in the hand of impressionable young people and crazies and now I read this. Avery is a romance editor at a publishing house and has been forced by her neanderthal, sorry excuse of a boss to edit a book totally out of her expertise. It is the second book based on the newest violent video game due to come out. The first book caused violence and unrest in the masses and puts Avery in danger. There is also a NDA her boss has threatened her with, a million dollar penalty and being back balled in the publishing community. Rowan is an FBI Agent who has been following a link of activity in Bulgaria to the United States and this very video game. He and Avery have been Twitter friends for years and finally decide to Skype when he discovers she’s in danger because of her involvement with the book. Avery also has the added stress of a mentally unstable mother, an apathetic selfish sister and self righteous preacher brother-in-law. I love her bestie Lola, she provides Avery chocolate and love and laughs. We also get to catch up with some of the Panther Strike Force too. This is a really great book and the first in the FBI Joint Task Force Series.
Great way to introduce a new series to yourself. All the series interconnect in the Iniquus world but they all have a very separate “feel”.
Weakest Lynx
Not your average heroine! Lexi is unconventionally educated but don’t let that naive, girl next door, butter wouldn’t melt persona fool you. She is sharp, talented and deadly! She is also in the sights of a stalker.
Different take on romantic suspense and includes finding unexpected family
WASP
Zoe is smarter than the average bear and she could rub you the wrong way when she gets sucked into her own head. Her arrangement with gage suits them both but Gage wants more – he just has to get Zoe to see the Pro’s and Con’s of that!
Maybe saving her from industrial espionage and possible kidnapping will help his cause?
In Too DEEP
Lacey is in the sights of some very bad people. But when the danger encroaches on her life she doesn’t turn to her boyfriend – she turns to Deep! Deep has wanted lacey for a long time but she never really saw him as anything but a friend. But bad guys are hunting her and her boyfriend – well he may not be quite as tame as she thought!
Mine
Not so much a romantic suspense and as short murder mystery. Very vague links with the Iniquus world but still “fits” . A Science Teacher/CSI intern arrives back in her hometown and the residents start dropping like flies!
Open Secret
What do a mild-mannered, put-upon romance Editor, A kickbutt FBI agent and plot against the USA have in common? Much more than you think. This time it’s not POTUS playing fast and loose with Twitter!
Avery is out of her depth and the romance goes at supersonic speed – just like social media!
Absolutely enjoyed every book. All a wee bit different in style but all tied to the same world. Loved them.
A great box set to get you started in the World of Iniquus!
