Taylor’s not looking for love, but he is ready to get more serious about his life. He had his wild days and now he needs to hunker down and get to work on the 5-year plan to see his dreams fulfilled. Little does he know that answering a job ad as a live-in carer for Sarah’s brother, Jayden, is going to open doors he never could have imagined and turn the king of casual into the man she didn’t … know she needed.
Sarah’s no stranger to loss or abandonment, and while she has a good career, a good friend and is the self-proclaimed Queen of the One Night Stand, her world revolves around her little brother. Forced to choose between him and the man she loved, she chose the boy she’d loved the longest, even though it meant giving up her plans for her own future.
By the time Taylor rumbles into her life with nothing but his backpack, motorbike and a secret photo album , Sarah is just jaded enough to find everything about him threatening to the comfortable rut she’s settled into. He challenges her peaceful, if lonely, existence from the start and the attraction between them doesn’t help. It’s not long before sparks fly as lust turns to love for the unlikely couple.
As their story unfolds, 92-year-old Henley Barnaby writes letters to his deceased wife. In being a part of the three younger peoples lives, he finds himself able to fast track their dreams and in the process, fulfills his promise to the woman he has loved for over 70 years.
This book contains adult themes, some steamy love scenes and swearing. The FMC’s brother is a young man with a developmental disability.
Frost Bites is meant to be read after Ice Burns, though it does stand alone as Sarah and Taylor’s story. Fans of Amber and Aiden will be pleased to see glimpses of their story continuing here.

Loved the fisrt book in this series and hoped to enjoy this one too. What I couldn’t have imagined was how much. Although we had met Sarah in the previous story, we didn’t discover why she was such a hard woman. In this book we get to the bottom of the mystery in such a heartwarming, startling way that I can only imagine that the author has some personal knowledge of the subject.
The characters are wonderful. Taylor is brilliant. Tough but with a heart of gold. And Jayden is just lovely. A perfect young man that any sister would be proud to have. I really enjoyed the interlacing letters that helped weave this heartwarming tale. There were some nice touches bringing in the chracters from the first book too. All in all a wonderful romantic book. Can’t wait to read the next one in the series.
Sarah and Taylor both have emotional baggage which meant neither of them were looking for a serious relationship – despite both being red-blooded passionate people.
When Sarah is searching for a carer for her brother along comes Taylor and there is an instant attraction. Sarah fights off the attraction not wanting anything to go wrong with her brother’s new carer, and so the emotional roller-coaster begins. This is a very touching, sweet, well written story, dotted with some steamy scenes.
Not often do I think book 2 of a series is better than book 1, but in this case Frost Bites is definitively a notch up, despite book 1 being really good. I look forward to reading then next book.
I was looking forward to the second in the series and wasn’t disappointed. Great read. A romance with a twist.
First off, I just wanna say, I LOVE this cover. It’s hot, sexy and ties in perfectly with Sarah and Taylor’s story. Frost Bites, is a contemporary romance that takes you on an emotional journey from beginning to end. It’s emotive, well written and had such wonderful characters!
Jayden is Sarah’s disabled brother, who in the beginning, relies on Sarah and his carer for his general needs. That is, until Taylor takes charge and wants to aid him in being an independent adult. Add in to the mix, an elderly gentleman who continues to write love letters to his wife long after her death and magic happens. In short, Frost Bites is a beautifully written story between four very different characters who form a truly genuine friendship. A one-click, must read…
Another great book by Lucy Alice and I highly recommend it to anyone who loves a steamy, sexy read with tons of heart. 18+
This erotic filled story kept me completely engaged throughout. The plot was well written and planned as the characters moved the story really well.
He was not looking for love but it may just find it when he least expects it. He takes a job and enters their lives. She has a disabled brother who she gave up her love to care for. Will they fall for each other? Will it work? See how they get on

She has baggage from the past. She also has a disabled brother. He comes along to take care of the brother. It is not always an easy road to love. I am going to go back and read book1. I was given a review copy by booksprout and voluntarily review it.

Taylor Frost is the whole package.
He’s tatted, pierced, big abs an awesome caregiver. He’s just accepted the position of being Sarah’s 17 yo brother Jayden’s caregiver.
Sarah works hard and is raising her much younger brother with special needs (Down Syndrome).
Taylor and Sarah are attracted to each other.
