★Author’s Note: This is Book One in the “A Series of Moments” trilogy, chronicling the heart-wrenching love affair of Jacob and Lilly. This book ends on a cliffhanger, so if you want the entire story, go ahead and get the boxset, “A Series of Moments”, which is all three books together in one volume.★ Jacob Edmonton was robbed—of his dignity, his reputation, and his award statuette. Hollywood’s … reputation, and his award statuette. Hollywood’s golden boy is nursing his wounds after a flash-in-the-pan relationship with a high-profile singer upended his world. Now he has one goal—repair the damage and get his damn life back.
But his race back to superstardom takes a hairpin turn when he meets Lilly Staver. His ego wants to hate her, his mind can’t stop thinking about her, and don’t even get him started on his heart.
Lilly Staver knows all about Jacob Edmonton—or his kind, at least. And what she knows is to stay far away from the golden-haired Adonis. But despite every misgiving, she finds herself inextricably drawn to the A-list actor and the loneliness behind his Hollywood facade.
Sometimes you’re interested. Sometimes you can’t be bothered. In Jacob and Lilly’s case, love isn’t letting either of them go.
But when Jacob is given the opportunity to salvage his career, will he return to the life he knew or embrace the love he never knew existed?

“Sometimes you don’t realize you have holes in your heart until someone shows up to fill them.”
M.L Broome is a new to me author. I found myself engrossed in the pages of From The Moment We Met by the second chapter. I liked the style of writing going from the hero to heroine’s perspective. The characters were varied and I found myself wanting to sit at the pub drinking whiskey with them. The author delivered a book that balanced the romance, lust, angst with humour. I’m off to rad unguarded moments. I have a theory on where this story is going and need to keep reading to get confirmation.
Jacob is an A-list actor, who returns home to an unexpected event in England. His sister is in hospital after having undergone life threatening surgery. At a time like this when she should be his main focus he is drawn in for autographs, interrupted by phone calls from his agent. However he didn’t fail to notice the nurse who was not only gorgeous on the outside but exuded inner beauty.
Lilly is an American helping to coordinate and educate units at the hospital. A request has been made for her to aid in the recovery of Jacob’s sister. Unable to notice his presence the moment she walks into the room, but his celebrity status doesn’t blind her. Lilly has had dealings with artists before, she’s had to endure heartache and is a little guarded. There seems to be a communication problem between Jacob and Lilly and we all know how important that key is to any relationship.
I was seriously tempted to give this book 4 stars because I was so mad at one of the characters by the end of the story. Then I decided that if a book can elicit such a strong emotion, whether good or bad, it is not something to lower a rating over. This book will make you feel a plethora of things, you’ll be angry, happy, nervous, you’ll probably swoon a few times, cringe occasionally, and possibly even want to yell “no don’t do that!!” at the page more than once. I know I did. I love reading a book so immersive that you are completely engrossed in the story and feeling all of the same emotions that the characters feel. This is a roller coaster of a romance and I’m so glad I got on this ride.
Honestly, I ended up loving this book. It made me feel a million feelings. Victoria is ruthless, Jacob is complicated, Jacob’s family is fantastic, Enrique will have you cheering for the other guy in some parts of the book, Lilly is the sweetest person ever, and her friends are the kind of friends you should want to have in life. I felt like this book described parts of my life entirely. If you’re looking for a great romance story that will take you for a wild ride, then you need to purchase a copy of this book. The story was so well written, and I had to give it five stars. Just indeed, a beautiful read!
I fell in love with these characters and I can’t wait for more!
M.L. Broome did such a wonderful job of creating a beautiful love story that keeps you hooked from the beginning. Jacob and Lilly couldn’t be more different, yet they fit together like two puzzle pieces who have been searching for each other their whole lives. It’s not an easy journey, not by a long shot, but there is no denying their deep love for one another throughout the story. The dialogue is fresh and fun and the pace is exactly right. The side characters are wonderful and the setting of the story in England is refreshing! I found myself rooting for them throughout the book and I honestly can’t wait for books 2 & 3. M.L. Broome is an excellent writer, and it’s extremely easy to get lost in the story and just enjoy, as you fall in love with these wonderful characters! I highly recommend this book!
This is the first time I have ever read anything written by this author, and I’m glad I did, this book was an amazing read. This is the first book in the A Series of Moments Trilogy, and in this book we are introduced to Jacob, and Lily, who meet when Jacobs sister needs emergency surgery. Lily is a nurse, and when she meets Jacob, they have an immediate connection, but Lily isn’t looking to get involved with anyone, but when she can’t get him off her mind, she can’t stay away. This is an emotional story, the characters are well written, and developed, and they have great chemistry. I love reading their story, and look forward to reading book 2.

A Series of Moments by M. L. Broome
I am voluntarily reviewing this ARC.
This page turner grabbed me from second one.
Lily is a nurse assigned to a difficult case. The patient happens to be the sister of an a list actor, who’s priorities have gone astray after years of pursuing his career. A bitter break up with another A list celebrity, has him of the mind set that he’ll never commit again. That was before he saw Lilly. At first, she is unaffected, but then, the chemistry is undeniable. They have so many obstacles to overcome, being from such different worlds, but they just can’t stay away from eachother. I love the writing in this book. It hooked me right away.
A little caveat, it ends on a cliff hanger and there is borderline cheating. If you’ve read my reviews, you know cheating is a hard limit for me, even if it is a “we were on a break”, sort of thing. But the story is in me now, and the writing is very good so, on to the next book! I’ll keep you posted:)
This is an enjoyable book with well developed and engaging characters and the storyline flowed smoothly keeping me entertained.

This is book one in the A Series of Moments trilogy. Meet Jacob and Lily, two people that have never thought much about love or trying to find it and fit it into their lives. Jacob is Hollywood’s golden boy, at least until he has a fling with a popular singer. His ego and reputation take a but of a hit. The hits continue to pelt him as his sister requires emergency surgery and he meets Lily. Lily is a.no nonsense nurse but she is beautiful and she does not treat Jacob and his celebrity ego any different than anyone else. This both frustrates and captivates Jacob. Now these two find themselves thinking about one another and drawn to one another but neither one want to deal with all that comes with falling in love. Fate is destined.to bring these two together. Who wins? Ready and waiting for book two. Enjoy!

AMAZING!
An amazing tug and pull of emotions that had me engrossed from start to the spiraling cliffhanger that has me wanting more. EXCITING chemistry and well written. I’m so excited to start reading book 2 because of its anything like this one I can guarantee I won’t be able to put it down.

Jacob was the quintessential Hollywood heartthrob. Blockbuster movies, endorsement deals and adoring fans. But he really didn’t feel that way know as he was boarding a plane for London. His life wasn’t always media
fodder until he met Victoria and his life unraveled. Lilly worked at the hospital that Jacob’s sister was going for surgery. She did not know that until her coworker was excited that her brother would be coming in to be with his sister. Janie was very ill and in surgery and Lily would be her nurse once since got out of surgery. Jacob was freaking out because of his sisters condition but that didn’t stop people from wanting his autograph. Lily and Janie’s surgeon Dr.Torresdecided to have a drink after a long day. While sitting in the pub Jacob walks in and seeing Lilly sitting with her Dr.Torres who asked him to sit down with them. Lilly was ready to leave and Jacob told her he would call a cab. Lilly and Jacob were becoming friends he even came down to the shelter to help. He found out that there was a ball fundraiser and asked to take her. Meanwhile they stop by his house and he found a big surprise. Lilly wanted to sink into the ground and told Jacob she would take a cab home. Jacob wouldn’t let her do that so he drove her home. Lilly’s friend was having dinner with Jacob and calls to tell her to meet at the restaurant. In the morning Jacob received a call and her told her he had to leave and had a business meeting that night. Lilly just happen to go to the same restaurant as Jacob and she spots him with Victoria draped all over him. His sister asked her to come and play poker but Lilly really didn’t want to go just in case Jacob was there. Victoria keeps showing up everywhere he goes but then things got out of hand. Jacob had just been with Lilly at Rogers house but then Roger comes banging on the door. Jacob had a bad feeling about this he told him Victoria was downstairs. Jacob rushed out of the room to go to get rid of Victoria leaving Lilly alone. Once again he ran back to Victoria just thinking about himself. Roger couldn’t believe Jacob let Victoria be so vicious to Lilly.
Twists, turns and some bad mistakes makes this an interesting Read
This story was definitely unexpected but a really well written book, Lilly & Jacob’s love match was refreshingly beautiful and i loved that it was different, it left on a surprising cliff hanger but i am looking forward to what is next by this lovely author
This is an incredible story. M.L. Broome has taken the true love trope and demystified it, removing all the fluffy fairy tale and leaving us with the rawness of reality that true love might exist, but human nature, miscomunication and those “best laid plans” get in the way and obfuscate everything. Not only is the human psychology reflected admirably, but also emotion and our social hangups about love and sex. The author beautifully illustrates how although sex is a topic we engage with more than in eras past, it is still a tricky subject– and she has mastered it. The steamy scenes are written to perfection and make the reader yearn for this pair to get together, and yet life, their previously laid plans and eternal inability to put their feelings into words and communicate their true situation makes this relationship appear impossible. I look forward to the remaining books in this series becuase I cannot wait to see how M.L. Broome will toy with these very relatable characters.
This is the first book that I have read from M.L Broome. This was an emotional book of ups and downs. Jacob is an actor. A great actor with quite the future ahead of him if he can land the right job that he has wanted forever. His ex Victoria has a way in for him but he has to do everything that she says. I cant stand Victoria. She is evil and a little witch. Jacob is on his way home for a little vacation when something happens to his sister. He ends up at the hospital and is blown away by his sister’s nurse. He will do whatever it takes to get to know her . But things end up being complicated because of Victoria. Will things work out for Jacob and Lilly or will they both end up with a broken heart? Will he get the role of a lifetime or choose love instead? I did not realize that this was going to be a cliff hanger. I was a little upset when I got to the end of this and was left hanging. Over all a great book. I absolutely loved the chemistry, the buildup and the twists and turns that these two go through. A great relationship in the making if allowed to work out. I cant wait to see what happens between these two.
This is my first read by this author and what a pleasant surprise it always is to discover someone else to add to my TBR pile. The couple’s relationship hooked me from the beginning, I chuckled my way through their journey. Jacob is a bit of a twit, you’ll want to shake him but that’s the beauty of a well written book to make us feel. I won’t spoil the story for you, just to say I highly recommend it.
This was the first book I have read by this author and it certainly will not be my last. From the opening pages to the very last chapter I was locked into a story that was filled with laughter, romance and sensuality. Jacob and Lilly are characters you soon wont forget and they were so well written that their personalities fly off the page. I highly recommend this book to any reader who enjoys great characters and a gripping storyline.
Both Lilly and Jacob were so wishy washy, they they kept giving me whiplash but I liked Lilly a lot better than I liked Jacob. He was to shallow and selfish for me. He stated he regretted what he did but he still didn’t do anything about it. He still got his cake and yet he wanted everyone to believe he was sorry for what he did or didn’t do.
