Chase Brennan’s life came crashing down on the fateful night his daughter was brutally taken from him. After following the wrong road for some time, the qualified firefighter, who had never given up that ‘the one’ was just around the corner and would one day find him, returned to the living. What he didn’t know was how she would appear in his life and just how fast and hard he would fall.Jamie … fall.
Jamie Lawrence was the darling of the Australian tennis circuit.

They didn’t care what she wanted or that she was unhappy playing the game she once loved. After a scary altercation that left her running for her life, Jamie hid her celebrity status and landed in a town where her happily ever after was waiting for her.
Would her well-meant game of secrecy, pretending to be someone she wasn’t, lose her the man who made her heart beat faster with just one touch?
Could their love survive the inferno and be ‘game, set, match’ in love?

Chase’s life was devastated ten years ago when he lost his reason for living and he thought he would never love anyone again. Jaimie was a tennis star running from an abusive past and she ran into the hot fireman and it was an inferno. The raw emotions and gritty story truly left me gasping and wanting more. Leah Sharelle knocked me out with this story!!! Highly recommended to read the entire series in order as all the characters of previous stories will be in this one as well. I loved all three of these hot firemen and their sassy women. Each book brought a different story and got deeper into the lives of the people I have come to love. WOW WOW WOW I can’t say enough good about this book, series or author!!!
I ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT!
This book had me consumed from the very first chapter. Chase is a smokin hot hunk of a fireman who loves his daughter with all his heart. She is everything to him. When one day his life is changed forever. I cried my eyes out for him. Chase, Carson and Dylan are best friends, firemen and they love each other like brothers. They’ve been there for each other through everything, good and bad. Jamie is a beautiful young woman and a tennis champion but her coach is evil and treats her horribly until one day she forces herself to fight back but ends up running scared. She ended up in Ballarat where she meets Lake who’s Carson’s wife and owns the local bakery. She such a beautiful person inside and out she instantly makes Jamie feel warm and welcome and they become instant friends something Jamie has never had. She was forced to travel and work so hard for her tennis career that she never had time for anything, at all. No friends, nothing. When she meets Chase it’s love at first sight for both of them and Jamie gets to experience so many firsts with Chase it was so heartwarming and sexy. The way Chase treats Jamie so gentle and special melted my heart. He’s every woman’s dream come true. As their love grows and Jamie begins to find herself it made me fall more and more in love with these two. I love that we also get to have more of our favorite characters. Sassy little Shiloh and Darf make an appearance and a few of the Wounded Souls and Jason. My heart broke for him in book 1 of the Wounded Souls series, His Sweetness, so I loved getting to know more of him. Now when Tate and Dylan get their baby boy I was overwhelmed with happiness of course I was crying again. Lol. I loved every minute of it. No two people deserved a child more than they did. I really hate to see this trilogy end, maybe someday we’ll get books on the next generation. Hint, hint, Leah. Lol. This book is such a feel good book but also Chase and Jamie set the pages on fire. Oh and I love how Leah uses her Australian slang in her writing, it makes me love her books even more, and it makes me laugh. I extremely recommend this trilogy to everyone.
Sweet stunning gorgeous, Chase has been through so much in the past ten years, now with Jamie in town could things be looking up for this sexy Firemen.
Jamie is hiding somethig what though and will it hurt her relationship with the town?
Come read this sweet sexy heartbreaking story, 1 thing you might want tissues
Book 2 in this series left me a quivering pile of tears. I thought I was prepared for this one, knew from previous books that this author brings out strong emotions, and that I’d better keep the tissues handy. But when I was crying by the end of the first chapter, I couldn’t help but think “What have I gotten myself into?!?” But I kept going, knowing that no matter how emotional I got, it would be worth it in the end, because this author never fails to deliver a book that is both entertaining, and meaningful.
Chase lost his entire world in one night, from circumstances so tragic, so horrible, it left him a shell of his former self. But through it all, he kept up his hope that love, and a life filled with family, were in his future. One look at Jamie proved his waiting was worth it.
Jamie’s dream turned into a nightmare. Those that she should have been able to count on and trust, became devils in disguise. Her only choice was to run away, and try to scrape up a new life for herself. She stumbled onto everything she was missing, friends, family, and love.
This book, while still very emotional, also had plenty of good feelings to balance it out. There was an overall feeling of hope that left me a very happy reader. Jamie and Chase, together, are such a beautiful couple, absolutely perfect for each other, and their story left me with tears, and a huge smile! I couldn’t help but fall in love with them, and their story!
Sizzled.
This book was sizzling hot right off the page. I thought hoove was my hot fireman but daaaaaaam did chase just run right past him right into the home plate. I loved Chases story i was so glad to see he got his happily ever after and Jamie was the perfect woman for him. It was so good to see Booth Deck Ford and shiloh and Darth make an appearance in this book but most of all my other man Jason. Lordy this reader just wants to hug the stuffin out of the stud muffin. So looking forward to reading more in this series and jasons next book to.
We finally get Chase’s story and Leah did not disappoint! We’ve gotten bits and pieces of Chase and his story in the previous books, but to get the full story really makes your heart break. Chase thought his life was great with his daughter and great co-parenting relationship with his ex, but when tragedy strikes, he shuts down and lives in perpetual mourning. As Jamie continues to work through the motions as her continued abuse happens, she finally gets fed up and makes a run for her life. Ending up in the same town as Chase, they end up meeting with both of them blowing each other away with the insta-love they feel. While the two get to know each other and form a relationship quickly, Jamie divulges her secrets while Chase shares his past, making the two stronger. What I love in this book is that Leah was able to make this standard storyline unique in the suspense in this story coming from Chase rather than Jamie. Things like that continue to prove to me why I love Leah’s books so much and continue coming back to them. Loved this book and can’t wait to see who’s next!
I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
Oh my, the beginning of this third book in the ‘Firemen Do It Better’ series about broke my heart in two. The angst you feel is so real, tears find their way down your cheeks without permission but how could they not with such emotions?
Chase Brennan is a thirty-five year old firefighter with a sad past that understandably he finds hard to move on from even ten years later. That is until he meets Jamie Lawrence, a twenty-five year old who has only known tennis, tennis and tennis..oh and bullying. This is their story.
As a reader, you know very quickly when you start a book whether the characters feel real, relatable and if the lead ones have chemistry. Whether you can feel the sizzle of romance, the tension of unknown stresses and the suspense of what is going to happen, fearing that something terrible may happen to one of them. It’s an excitement that is so thrilling and entertaining and shows the high quality of writing..this book has it all.h
Some excellent humour is sprinkled throughout the story, from fun banter between characters to hilarious situations leave you chuckling with glee in many parts. The banter demonstrates the easy camaraderie between the characters as well. (It is a delight to have some special characters make cameo appearances too, enough said..my lips are sealed.) Likewise there are some extremely tender and emotional moments that are not always fearful or negative, some scenes are so beautiful, words are hard to find to describe them.
This second chance love story hits all the right spots and to be honest I was sorry it ended I enjoyed it so much.
